"He is with us. We only met him two days ago and so we were unaware of any... criminal tendencies." Eila doesn't move from the bar, she just watches over her shoulder as it's unclear to her yet if an offence has been committed or what it might be. "I assure you if we were then we would not have left him unsupervised. Please, don't let his actions to reflect ill on all of us - we're not a band of thieves, just adventurers looking to investigate Vermeillon. I apologise for the disruption but please allow us to stay and rest, we will address his conduct ourselves."

Katarina jumps at the commotion... and she is even more shocked to find that the cause of the commotion is the little dragon man! She practically leaps to Elliðaey's side in her haste to find out what is going on.
"Katarina is here!" she says breathlessly. "Now... what did the little dragon man do? Is it really so bad that we need to fight about it? If it wasn't too much... Katarina can offer a few pieces of gold if you are willing to give him back to us without harm..."
She glances at Zaphi... and she doesn't look angry. More than anything, she looks disappointed.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Damn I am caught lets see how I get out of this. "Oy I me own Kobold, why are you talking to the old man. I don't even know him. Now let me down and talk civil like"

OOC Your also typing in an accent. Please man. You just going for all the buttons huh? As Zaphi is trying to persuade hostile people, roll with disadvantage.
Elliðaey nods to everyone glad of their diplomacy.
"He is with us. I apologize heartily for my old companion. He isn't...as reformed as I was led to believe," Elliðaey addresses her new companions. "Mr. Grosvenor. I would like to buy a round on the house and pay whatever expenses for those fine eleven folk," she adds relaxing a tense form now surrounded by her own allies whom reacted just as she hoped!
Then in Elven:
My sincerest apologies my new friends. My companions as you see are quite noble but one cannot yoke the will of their friends. Please allow us to fill a cup and forget the unpleasantness," the half-orc fire genasi says with a slight bow.
Lucas nods at Eila and Elliðaey.
"Well, I certainly will take anyone's coin but I don't want trouble with anyone," Lucas replies. "They have a hefty bill you settle up and have Niska take you to Pearl's place. I don't want thieves on the premises," he adds gesturing at Zaphi just as the ranger let's him loose but the bobcat hisses loudly at her side!
"Certainly," Elliðaey nods putting a bag of coin on the bar then gesturing everyone outside!
The monk then lingers making sure all the party exits the Beckon.

"Will you both be alright out here?"Katarina asks Jade hesitantly. "Katarina is sure that you are a talented warrior Jade, but sleeping out in the open is a risk for anyone, especially if there isn't a night watch... if you wish it, Katarina can stay here as well."

Eila understands from the tone and prolonged eye contact that Jade means that as an exclusive, not an inclusive 'we' and so just gives a nod and entrusts the situation to the paladin. She's been with Jade and that wagon long enough to have confidence in her safety.
She instead steps aside to speak in a low voice to Millicent, "Is it true he was trying to steal from those people? I didn't see what actually happened. People do make unfair assumptions about kobolds, but if it's true, thats... concerning."
Eila shakes her head, "Don't worry Millicent - Jade and I have slept together often enough before, I can assure you she doesn't snore."
"I suppose what we'd best do is find where this Pearl lives and ask if she wouldn't mind putting us up." She turns to the tabaxi, "Katarina, can you remember which way Niska went?"

"No one's talking about fighting anyone, Katarina. We're just trying to figure out what's going on."
Jade turns to the Elf holding Zaphi, hand still open in front of her, "I'm sorry, but what did Zaphi do exactly?"

Zaphi leaves the Inn. There is no look of remorse or guilt as he walks out.
Jade slings her pack and shield, grips her sword, scabbard, and baldric in her left hand, and places her right firmly...tightly...on Zaphi's shoulder.
"We'll be in the wagon if you need us."
Not knowing Jade well Zahpi tries to shrugs off the hand on his shoulder uncomfortable of the closeness of Jade.
Jade attempts to tighten her grip on Zaphi and steer him in the direction of the wagon.

"Fair enough," Jade shrugs, "but we'll be sleeping in the wagon regardless."
"Fine by me as I didn't plan on going to the other Inn anyhow." says Zaphi. He then jumps into the wagon and sits down.
Jade tosses her gear into the wagon and turns to the others, her eyes locking on Eila's in particular.
"Good night. We'll meet you here in the morning."
With that, Jade climbs into the wagon next to Zaphi.

Due to a difference of opinion I am bowing out of this adventure. I wish everyone the best in continuing on.
Jade rejoins the others outside of Pearl's. Zaphi is not with her.
Staring straight ahead Millicent sighed as Jade returned, " So.........room mates next town?"
" Do you snore? You didn't on the road that I recall....."
"I..." Jade looks over at Eila, "I don't think so...I mean...I imagine if we can get another common room we'd do that."
"I mean about the snoring," She casts another glance at Eila, "I wouldn't mind being roommates...just...it depends on the situation."
Eila shakes her head, "Don't worry Millicent - Jade and I have slept together often enough before, I can assure you she doesn't snore."
