Taking the path directly in front of them, the group sloshes through the disgusting water (difficult terrain) and make your way through the tunnel, Reed and the IronMaiden lighting the way for those that can't see in the dark. After about 50 feet, you thankfully reach some stairs that get you all out of the water. Following the tunnel, you reach a wooden door.
Reed gestures for Ironmaiden to come closer to the doorway to add extra light. He quickly scans the whole set up for traps, tripwires, pressure pads and the like.
If he finds none, he’ll try the handle to see if it’s unlocked, opening it if it is, keeping low as he does.
Virro takes one of the perfumed flannels from Corlith, thanking him. He puts it on in a familiar manner, tying it behind his head and keeping the perfumed portion near his nose, covering his face. “Top ten worst smells, this doesn’t even come close. Anyone have a number one? I have one. Necrotic bowel. Nothing smells worse than dead bowel, in a body. This is a little trick of the trade. If you’re feeling sick, give this a try.”
He is passed by the Ironmaiden and Fred who are marching ahead, caution thrown to the wind. “Psst. You know that we are walking into their den, right? Ok, I’ll stay back here. If you see anything… dead… or that shouldn’t be alive … call me to come up.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Archie brings the light to Reed for the trap checking, happy to be out of the water and happier still to be useful, she turns to Corlith as he magically cleans his clothes and she nudges him pointing to her own feet with a nod and a thumbs up. "We're going to end up fighting them anyway right?" She asks Virro, "we may aswell just go and start punching, right? bad guys are bad guys and need punching, though I'm glad reed is checking for traps, I hadn't thought about that"
Corlith smiles at Archie and gives a thumbs up in return, then when she turns to talk to Virro he just takes his shield from his back and straps it on ready.
He then puts the coin back in his pocket, dismissing the light.
”Can’t think of much worse than here, although the students at the alchemical college used to brew up some rank smelling gases. They would infuse them into cushions and place them on the professors chairs so when they sat down it would make a farting sound and release the gas!”, he says shaking his head at the memory of how juvenile it was.
Virro suppresses a laugh and readies his shield as well, sensing the impending confrontation after Reed’s words. He says to Archie, “That’s right, you go punch em. But we want to surprise them. They may have already heard us. Ready?” He gets a stern look on his face and pulls his gloves tight.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Happy to be out of the sewer water and chatting quietly about other bad smells in their lives, the party shushes as Reed reveals that there is something else down here, not too far beyond the door they are jammed up at.
Slowly opening the old wooden door, you see a small room, another door right across from you (South), a third door to your left (East), and a dark passageway to the West. As you start entering the room you notice that these doors, including the one you came through (North), have crude carvings on them.
You all pile into the room so everyone can see the carvings, looking to the West though, it is very dark though stairs heading down about 10 feet away are made out in the dim light made from the party.
Upon the South door, there is a carving of a cloaked figure whose face is hidden under a cowl. In his skeletal hands, he clutches a screaming human skull.
Upon the East door, there is a carving of a tall, armored man wearing a bucket helm. His right gauntlet is painted black and clutches a set of shackles.
Upon the North door, there is a carving of a powerfully built, skull-headed man with long, curved blades where his hands should be.
As Reed points out the door depicting the helmeted guy, Ironmaiden walks on over to it, hand outstretched ready to go barging on through, perhaps this guy was also trapped in armour, he certainly looked the most relatable of the three.
“Hey fellas. I know these, I’ve seen these symbols before. A bunch of pretenders. The one on the door we came through (North) is a carving of Bhaal, the god of murder. The one on the East door is a carving of Bane, the god of tyranny. And the one across the way there, the one on the South door, is of Myrkul, the Lord of Bones. These cultists are a bunch of idiots. Ok, just wanted to let you know. Probably gonna be some gruff people in here, maybe we can ease them into the great beyond…” Virro readies his shield.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Reed looks at each door with interest as Virro describes what each one represents.
"We don't have to go too easy on them," Reed says as he slips his bow off his shoulder with a smile. "Sometimes an example needs to be made to deter others."
The chicken is not happy about the water. He squawks and curses the whole time he's in it, swimming his little ass off, barely able to keep his head above the water. When he comes up on the stairs, he's even wetter than before, and even more pissed off as he moves up the steps.
"Mothercluckin' water up to my cluckin' chin for the love of Gallus what a bunch of human-shit. Cluck this cluckin' place and all this cluckin' *#@holes I swear to Gallus..."
Roo steps around Ironmaiden and keeps his head cocked to the side, watching her warily as though he's still afraid of the fact she's full of fire.
"Go in and punch them all? Got it, yes." He says, moving toward the door. "Do it? Bunch of idiots...don't go easy...oh! DO IT!"
As the door comes open, Roo rushes into the room, drawing his sword and dodging about, anticipating an attack...
Roo’Stor happily charges through the East door that Iron Maiden opens for him.. Into utter darkness.
The stone lined tunnel with 8’ ceilings leads straight forward, with no light in the distance. With light assistance from Archie and from Reed’s lantern, you all start heading down the tunnel. The stench of the sewers, never quite leaving your nostrils, even with the flannels tied over your noses.
After about 20 feet or so, you all descend some stairs. They seem to be in decent shape, a few broken along the edge. But there is another set of stairs just after that that are in much worse shape and as you head down them, you’re glad for the light even more so.
Unfortunately, at the bottom of these stairs, you are back in the knee deep water.. chest deep water for Reed and well.. Roo is back to swimming.
The tunnel turns to the right and as you follow it, it opens up to a large cavern.. that is not empty.
The eastern part of this room is unlit, flooded, and braced with floor-to-ceiling wooden beams. Rough-hewn steps rise out of the murky water to the western portion of the room, which is dry and lit by two torches in sconces that flank a stone altar. Shackled to the wall behind the altar is a sickly man in a loincloth with a burlap sack over his head. An alcove in the north wall contains a freestanding suit of plate armor missing its helm.
Standing before the altar are two grim figures: a powerfully built woman clutching a mace, and an even bigger man wearing a bucket helm. The helmed man is jabbing the prisoner with a spear, causing him to twitch. Both figures are clad in chain mail, and the woman carries a wooden shield with a leering skull painted on it.
Both figures turn to look at you as you enter the room.

Corlith is relieved as they come across the stairs, his first experience of trudging through sewer water being memorable for all the wrong reasons.
He attempts to clean his clothing as soon as he has moved far enough up the stairs that Roo and Wilfred are also out the water.
He then waits, unsure what is happening ahead due to the bulk that is Ironmaiden in front of him.
Virro takes one of the perfumed flannels from Corlith, thanking him. "Farmer Vieux makes a cheese that smells like the back end of a sick cow," Reed says as he finishes checking the door. "That's pretty bad."
He begins to open the door then pauses, turning his head to listen.
"Another door just closed, "Reed says quietly. "Somewhere on the other side of this one."
When that sinks in, he continues to open the door and see what's on the other side.
Archie brings the light to Reed for the trap checking, happy to be out of the water and happier still to be useful, she turns to Corlith as he magically cleans his clothes and she nudges him pointing to her own feet with a nod and a thumbs up. "hey look three dead guys, we found them" Archie says in a very matter of fact kind of way.
Corlith looks across at the doors and the symbology on them, "That would make sense. Does anyone recognise the symbols? Which is which?".
"And for that matter, any preference as to which you would like to face first?", he asks the others.
At this point he Focusses himself ready for what is to come.
Religion: 5+0=5

"These carvings are quite nice," Reed says, tracing them with his hands. "Very judgmenty."
He places his ear to each of the three doors, trying to see if he can hear any sound of retreating footsteps behind any of them or any voices.
Perception: (4+5) = 9
Reed lifts his head away from the last door and smiles.
"All quiet," Reed says, certain he hasn't heard anything.
He points at the north door.
"We came through that one, so maybe we rule that out for now," Reed says with a smile. "How about that one? He looks fun?"
Reed points at the south door, the one with the helmeted guy with the shackles in his hand.
As Reed points out the door depicting the helmeted guy, Ironmaiden walks on over to it, hand outstretched ready to go barging on through, perhaps this guy was also trapped in armour, he certainly looked the most relatable of the three.
Corlith stands ready and simply says, “Do it!”, to Archie.
They were here for all the Dead Three’s followers and it didn’t really matter which order they took them out in.
Virro holds his hand up for a moment, asking for just a minute as he examines these depictions on the doors…
