The skeletons head back to Reed and as he commands them to start opening doors, they both head to the first one on the right and collide with one another.
After taking a moment to detangle bones and collect themselves, one opens that door while the other moves on to the next.
The first door swings into the space beyond and the skeleton lets go of that door and heads to the third on the right side. The second door is opened by the second skeleton and as soon as the door opens, you all hear a moaning escape from within. The second skeleton lets go of the door and heads to the one at the end of the tunnel.
The first skeleton opens the third door on the right, letting it swing in and then moves on to the door across the hall on the left side.
The door at the end of the tunnel is opened and that skeleton stands there looking at Reed.
The door on the right bangs into something on the other side right away and the skeleton keeps trying to open it.. bang, bang, bang, bang...
Reed doesn’t like the sound of the moaning coming from door number two. He directs the skeletons to go into that room, providing a bit of a shield before anyone goes to take a look inside.
Archie looks around and goes to the last door opened, the obe by itself opposite the wall with three doors, she peers inside from behind the motionless skeleton, using it as cover if she needs.
"Collect the fingers if you wish, but the agreement was made, and I see no reason for it to be altered in our favour once the task is complete. It is possibly worth a try though", Corlith says to Reed and Virro as they decide to collect the fingers.
When Reed requests the skeletons open every door, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, swallowing his frustration at the lack of strategy and order. So far they had been a match for everything thrown at them down here, although not without cost, he thinks as he feels his wound to see if it is still bleeding. He had means to heal himself, so wouldn't request such from others, but his magical strength was fading and he wanted to keep some ready in case there were bigger down here.
He hangs back a bit whilst the others explore the new open doors, keeping an eye and ear out for anything following them, not wanting to be set upon unawares again.
“Uh Reed, maybe tell ole Clyde over there to cease and desist, he’s making quite a lot of noise. What is that moaning?” Virro bobs his head around peering ahead trying to get a look at what could be making the noise.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Roo followed the skeletons down until he couldn't see anything else, then circled back until he was riding Glory of Morning back toward the rest of his compatriots and watching as the skeletons opened the doors.
"Ooh, moaning." Roo says, listening to the sound coming out of the second door. "What do you reckon that could be? It's been awhile since we had a good scrap!"
He rides the possum toward the door and looks inside.
As Archie heads to the door on the left, the one the skeleton was banging the door, and peers behind it.. she sees that there was a major cave in behind the door which is what the door is banging into. There is no getting into the space.
Reed commands the two guinea pigs to head into the middle door on the right, the one with the sounds emanating from it. Virro and Roo peer from behind the skeletons to see what is going on in that room.
Six moaning humans with rotting flesh shamble about this dusty crypt, which reeks of death. An open stone sarcophagus rests against the back wall, its shattered lid lying in pieces on the floor around it. The front of the sarcophagus, which you can barely get a glimpse of, is carved with ghastly images of human cannibalism.
As soon as the two skeletons start walking into the room, the six zombies turn and amble towards them, their moaning increasing in volume..
Reed looks over at Corlith, after seeing a change of expression on Virro's face; Roo's facial expression might have changed too, but he's still figuring out what that looks like on a chicken.
"We could just shut the door," Reed suggests "Or better yet, let Ms Teen Firestarter throw some fire into the room and then close the door. Waiting for the cooking to finish and then take a look again."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Roo and Glory of Morning stare into the room full of zombies and the rooster's eyes light up. After having just made the comment about looking for a good scrap, here he was, faced with a small horde of targets. His head cocks fast from side to side, and then he spurs Glory of Morning to action.
"Sally forth my noble steeEEDBOCK!" He screeches before Glory flops over and plays dead again. He curses, then looks into the room and moves in, moving between the legs of the first skeleton to attack the first zombie he comes to. "This is good for my aggressive habits! It gives me a productive outlet for me violent sensibilities!"
As soon as he slices at the zombie, he moves back, trying to keep the skeleton between him and the zombie.
Attack:18 Damage:6
Moving 10 feet (difficult terrain) through the skeleton to the first zombie, attacking, and 10 feet back to his current location.
Roo comes storming into the room and just barely misses one of the zombies, and as he makes his hasty retreat, it tries swiping at him but misses as well.
Zombies C & E moan loudly, but they are unable to move just moving their arms around trying to reach the skeletons through the others to no avail.
Archie turns around, why is the action always behind her? The bustle in front of the door doesn't make things easy, and given that, she decides to switch things up a little. Instead of reaching for her trusty returning hammer she instead pulls out a crossbow from somewhere and let's a bolt fly, whizzing past Virro's ear and over Roo's head it disappears into the room of zombies directly toward zombie A.
(14 to hit, 4 piercing)
She then dips the front of the crossbow giving herself enough room to reload the bugger.
"At no point when I came to Baldur's Gate did I expect to be in the basement of a spa watching two skeletons hold a handful of zombies back while a rooster on a possum stabs at their ankles," Reed says with a smile. "This just might be the best city ever."
Reed then slowly pulls out an arrow, pulls the bowstring taut and lets it fly just over Roo's head (Zombie A).
Short Bow: (18+6) = 24 to hit; (2+4+2 sneak attack) = 8 damage
"Skellies, don't just stand there," Reed calls. "Hit those zombies."
Virro smiles at the logjam inside the room and points his right hand at the two zombies in front, A and B. He focuses and screws up his face in concentration, attempting to cast a bluish grey hand to shoot out from his glove. As before, the hand splits apart, affecting the two zombies in the front.
Chill touch against zombie A : 24 to hit, for 7 necrotic damage. It can’t regain hit points until the next turn, and it has disadvantage on attacks against him.
Chill touch against zombie B : 13 to hit, for 8 necrotic damage. It can’t regain hit points until the next turn, and it has disadvantage on attacks against him.
After he is finished, Virro moves 5 feet to the east.
Wilfred moves in, letting the others do there searching. At the sound of moaning and the sound of combat, he tries to move forward. "Hey, uh, excuse me, coming through. Geeze, this is a tight space!"
He is only able to make it past Reed, just behind Roo. He already is pulling out his hand axes as he goes."I guess this is as close as I can get!" With a practiced motion, he lets loose the two axes.
Action: attack ,hand axe - to hit 16 damage 9
Bonus action: two weapon fighting, hand axe - to hit 14 damage 2
Reed watches IronMaiden’s outburst with some amusement and is about to say something when he remembers she’s just a kid.
”If you can’t say anything nice make sure you kill them quietly, right mum,” Reed says quietly to himself.
He looks at all the doors and waves the skeletons back.
”If you two can open doors, start opening doors.”

Corlith calls forward, "I take it that moaning sound getting louder is a bad thing?"
"It's a bit bottlenecked at the moment, shout if you need any help".
In the meantime he grants himself magical protection, just in case.
Action: Cast Resistance on himself.

Zombie A gets hit repeatedly and looks as bloodied as a zombie can look.
Reed's pets attack the zombies in front of them, peeling off a bit more rotting flesh that falls to the ground (A is dam by 4, B is dam by 5)
Zombie F is too buried to do anything and moans louder in frustration.
Virro smiles at the logjam inside the room and points his right hand at the two zombies in front, A and B. He focuses and screws up his face in concentration, attempting to cast a bluish grey hand to shoot out from his glove. As before, the hand splits apart, affecting the two zombies in the front.

Virro's blueish grey hands fly through the air and hit their marks. Zombie A crumbles to the ground and zombie B looses more rotting flesh.
Zombie D ambles forward and attempts to slam into the skeleton in front of him but misses and almost falls off his feet.
Wilfred moves in, letting the others do there searching. At the sound of moaning and the sound of combat, he tries to move forward. "Hey, uh, excuse me, coming through. Geeze, this is a tight space!"

Wilfred's axes fly over Roo's head and right past the skeleton and thunk, thunk they land solidly in the head and shoulder of zombie D.
Zombie B reaches for the skeleton in front of him, but swipes wildly and misses his target.
Seeing no room to move and help, Corlith decides to take a look in the room to the south of him.
