Archie moves towards the devil, not too close but does admire the thing, "oh we're new, the other flaming fists might be a useless band of asses, but we managed to accomplish something" she says to Amrik without taking her eyes off the devil "Kasharra was it? Hey there"
Corlith steps forward towards the couch and looks squarely at Kasharra. "It seems you are in my seat", he says in Infernal, waiting for the fiend to move before sitting down.
He takes a good look at Amrik, letting the seconds pass and the silence extend for a little while as he measures the man.
He then shakes his head. "We both know your hulk of a brother does not have it in him to plan and execute something like this. No, this would definitely not be in his capability. Like my associate says, there is new blood in the Flaming Fists, and escapades such as this one are no longer going to be tolerated. Perhaps if you confess now, we can keep this whole business quiet, and we won't have to bring your family name into this. Especially with your mother having designs on a Grand Dukedom, doing this the hard way just would not be favourable for her, or you for that matter".

The spined devil waits a beat, then moves off the couch to sit on the floor by Amrik. "That is my seat." he retorts in infernal.
"Now, now. Is that any way to start a conversation? I mean I do loan out money to all sorts of people. Some have good intentions and some have bad, who am I to tell anyone no? So I may have loaned some money to these, what did you call them? Some dead three cult? So what?"
He leans back in the couch and looks at the rest of you, then back to Corlith, "Now, how about we have a drink? I'm sure my bartender would oblige." He sits up, turns toward the barkeep, "Sam, could we have.." he runs his hand through his hair then looks to count the party. Not seeing Reed or Wilfred over by the other set of couches, "Five of my usual? Thanks."
The ogre grunts in response and in a moment returns with a tray of five drinks. He places one in front of Amrik and the others in front of Corlith on the coffee table. The glasses have a dark amber look to them. Picking up his glass, raising it a bit like a toast and then taking a sip, Amrik asks, "So, now that that is settled, did you also need a loan?"
When the tray of drinks is offered to Roo he scoops one up, pours it on the floor, then throws the glass off to the side, letting it shatter in front of the stairs leading down into the hold. Never at any point does he break eye contact with the fiend that retreats to Amrik's feet like a kicked dog.
"A cute pet. Buck." He remarks as he stares the creature down. He pulls his sword out and lays it across his lap, his other hand still on Glory's reins. "I want to know if any of you have ever seen someone like me. Or if you've ever seen anyone adorned in armor like mine. I encourage you not to lie."
(Obviously bluffing about not lying since he can't detect lies...
The shattering of the glass startles Amrik a moment and he looks at the rooster with an eyebrow raised. He has very distinct eyebrows, obviously manicured and they lower as the man considers Roo and stares at his armor.
His whole face then brightens in recognition. "Why yes!" He puts his finger to his chin, scrunches up his forehead and looks up to the ceiling as he recalls the memory. Then looking back at Roo, his face full of mirth, "I say, I say, I say.. I'm dead! Ha ha ha ha!" he slaps his knee at his own joke. "Wasn't that him? The white rooster that wore the armor you have on? Damn thing walked in on myself in a meeting with a devil," his face gets a frown on this, "Mind you, this was not a pet like you are referencing Kasharra here, oh no. That stupid bird brandished his sword and acted like he was going to take him down! On his own, can you imagine? Well, that did not last long and well, I'm sure you all know the ending to this story." He takes a long sip of his drink and sets it down.
Then lifting his hands to his side, palms up he shrugs, "Why would I lie? That is such a funny story! I love telling that one!" Having a tiny bit of realization he is talking to the same kind, "I mean, you should take a lesson from this story... do not take on a full-sized devil on your own!"
"Interesting, your words seal your fate in more ways than one", Corlith replies very calmly, not interested in the drinks.
"Firstly, the fact that the one you spoke about being killed in your presence was laid to rest in exactly the place you are trying to convince us you know nothing about. Secondly...well, I will let you find that out for yourself in about 3 seconds", he says looking to Roo.
Archie laughs at Amrik, not at the joke of having Roo'stor's mentor killed but at the drastic misstep that Amrik has made, she punches her gauntlets together and they both crackle with lightning as she continues laughing, "imma touch the devil hehe."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Reed looks back over the sofa to Wilfred.
"I think the talking is just about done," Reed says with a smile. "I think there's going to be fighting very soon. Watch out for the goons walking around."
Reed turns back to look at the group interrogating Amrik when he suddenly looks over his shoulder.
"Who said that?" Reed asks, a puzzled look on his face. He looks around the room, but doesn't seem to find anyone he's looking for.
"Oh, you think so?"
Reed looks at the others in the room to see if any of them look like they're more likely to come to Amrik's aid than they are to stay neutral.
Roo takes a deep breath and feigns and unprecedented level or calm while his eyes shift from the fiend to Amrik.
"I'm going to kill your pet." He then says as a golden light shimmers around him and he shrugs his shield off his shoulder. "Then I'm going to beat your f*cking &ss."
His legs squeeze around Glory of Morning and he rushes toward the spiked shitpile on the floor with a swing of his sword...
"See, told you," Reed says to Wilfred as he sees Roo charge in to attack.
Reed quickly whips an arrow from the quiver on his back, easily sliding the bow off his shoulder in the same motion. His smile grows as he feels the arrow slip on to the bowstring.
"Eenie, meenie, miney, mo," Reed says as he decides between the devil and Amrik.
He lets the arrow fly at Amrik. But at that last second he jerks his head to the side, looking around, apparently for someone.
Action: Shortbow: (5+6) = 11 to hit for (5+4) = 9 damage.
Bonus Action: Cunning Action - Reed dips down low on the far side of the sofa he's on to hide after the arrow flies. Stealth: (13+8) = 21
As he slips behind cover, Reed whispers, "We killed you already."
Once Archie is back to herself, he takes a step back and lets the others take the lead. He follows behind the others, taking his time enjoying his coffee. As Corlith leads them to there prey, Wilfred hangs back by Reed. He nods in agreement, taking another sip of coffee. "Don't worry, I see them. Who are you talking to?"
As he hears Amrik mock Roo's hero, his eye twitches. He crushes the cup in his hand and reaches for the Glaive. "Lets get started then."
Virro looks out of the side of his eye and sees the bouncer beside him, but he hasn’t drawn steel against him yet. So he looks down the ship toward Amrik and the spiny devil, points his right hand at them and a ghostly hand shoots forth, splitting in half and attacking Amrik and the devil. Interestingly, the hand is missing the fifth finger.
Chill touch : Attack on the spined devil : 24 to hit, for 4 points of necrotic damage.
The second hand goes to Amrik, ghost slapping him in the face.
Chill touch : Attack on Amrik : 25 to hit, (Nat 20) for 8 points of necrotic damage.
Neither can recover hit points this round.
Chuckling to himself, Virro casts Spiritual Weapon as a bonus action, appearing next to Amrik and instead of a weapon, it is a ghostly hand missing the fifth finger but with a really long middle finger. It tries to poke Amrik. 10 to hit, for 7 points of force damage.
The chilled hands hit their intended target, the necrotic damage obviously taking affect. Amrik looks a bit affronted when slapped.
He does chuckle, however, at Roo's attempt and mutters, "Fights just like the other chicken."
The man at the bar with the ponytail stands up, and seeing where the ghostly hands came from, he heads over to Virro and attacks.
Swinging his maul, he misses the first time, but the sound of the weapon on bone makes a crunch as he hits Virro squarely in the shoulder with the second bludgeoning blow. (dam 8)
Wilfred watches as the pony tailed man attacks Virro. "Well that won't do." He's turns to look at the bouncer behind him and says "If you want to live through this, lay down and pretend you're dead. I'm not one to show mercy after the fact."
Wilfred swings his glaive low, going around the mast and hitting the back of the knees of the thug in front of Virro. The thug goes sprawling on the floor. (Nat 20 + tripping attack, 17 slashing damage). He talks a step toward his downed adversary, then swings the pommel of his glaive down towards the thugs head. (To hit 23, 6 bludgeoning damage).
He looks to the bouncer again with a smirk, then points to the ground. He turns his attention back to Amrik. "Roo' you got this, don't let him get in your head!"
Archie runs up to the spined devil, taking position just east of it, her gauntlets crackle with lightning and she yells out "let's see what these bad boys can do eh?" Stretching her arms out wide she slams he gauntlets together with a BOOM!.
Every single person in the boat is momentarily deafened, as a ringing overtakes anything else they could possibly be hearing right now, the boom is followed a split second afterward by a thunderous shockwave that radiates from Archie as the point of origin. The tables and sofa that Amrik and the devil were seated next to go flying away from her, glasses and mugs shatter against the internal walls of the boat and the wood in the area cracks from the sudden explosion, and in the aftermath, dust begins falling from the old wooden ceilings, filling the air with fine sawdust.
(Amrik, the spined devil, bothneed to make a con save DC 15, on a failed save Take 14 thunder damage and be pushed 10ft away from Archie, on a save, take 7 thunder damage and stay where they are.)
The shockwave radiates from Archie. The furniture fly, the glasses and mugs shatter. Amrik and Kasharra hold their position, though the spined devil is now bloodied.
But.. Archie sees this for a brief moment before the wood below her feet splinters and then breaks... sending the IronMaiden to the depths of the lowest level of the ship.
The bouncers on this level now draw their maces and stare at the party in disbelief at what they have done to Laraelra's ship. And you hear from above in a female's almost screech, "WHAT THE F$CK IS GOING ON DOWN THERE!!"
You hear someone pound down the stairs and one of the bouncers (B) is now on the same level as the rest. He takes a moment to understand what the hell is going on and dodges.
Amrik takes out his daggers and now that the coffee table is no longer inbetween himself and Corlith, attacks the tiefling. His first and third swipe at Corlith rips into the poor man, as he misses his second. (12 dam) And then moves south, around Kasharra and gets close to his bodyguard, eyeing the big hole as he passes.
Kasharra, feeling the pain of the attacks, lashes out at Roo and bites the rooster (4 dam), but misses with her fork.
The bouncer (F) that was by Wilfred moves after him and swings his maul...missing with his first hit, but hitting him solidly across the back with his second (dam 7)
The drow elves in the corner race up the stairs as all hell breaks loose.
Archie moves towards the devil, not too close but does admire the thing, "oh we're new, the other flaming fists might be a useless band of asses, but we managed to accomplish something" she says to Amrik without taking her eyes off the devil "Kasharra was it? Hey there"
