Virro sees the Ironmaiden getting attacked by two of the pirates. He steps 5 feet to the east and points his hand at the two pirates facing him, two skeletal, ethereal hands fly out toward the pirates facing him. One misses its mark and hits the wall, the other attaches onto the pirate, clinging to his shoulder and doing damage.
Chill touch : 1st - 8 to hit (misses). 2nd : 13 to hit, for 5 necrotic damage.
Virro shouts out, “Reed, pull Tarina back out of harm’s way and I’ll heal her!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ironmaiden reels from the first slash at them, a crack in their armour forms and flares with flame within, they see the situation worsening and decide to take out both of these pirates in one go, they just need a straight shot to line both pirates up.
The fire within them burns bright, the smoke stack pouring out of their head grows larger as heat begins to grow, preparing the caustic gout if flame once more.
They make a gamble and take a step to the south west, provoking the northern most pirate to swing at them (19 to hit, 7 slashing).
As Ironmaiden takes yet another hit, the flashing lights on their pauldrons go out in an instant, the smoke stack stops and the EVACUATE lettering on their breastplate disappears, the suit of armour ceases and falls to backwards slamming into the ground with a heavy bang.
Corlith curses as Tarina is healed, only to have the captain look to make another savage blow against her. He again uses magic to distract him, but the slash connects and drops her once again anyway. At least he manages to redirect some good fortune to Reed.
Looking about, everything is just too chaotic. Wilfred and the Rooster were having no luck against the pirate leader, and Reed's aim had failed him as well.
And then he hears the crash, turning to see the Ironmaiden fall backwards to the ground.
"This is not how it is meant to be", he says in frustration.
He sweeps his hand up and towards one of the pirates standing over Ironmaiden, and a radiant flame drops from no-where towards it.
Reaction (previous round): Cast Silvery Barbs on pirate leader, advantage to Reed. Action: Cast Sacred Flame on pirate 6. DC15 Dex save or take 6 radiant damage
Reed watches his arrow go wide, mentally keeping track of where it's sticking into the wall, before shifting his gaze to watch the big animated suit of armour collapse against the far wall.
"Can he, they, that die?" Reed asks to no one in particular.
He takes a deep breath, and notices that despite the pirate captain seemingly toying with them, something happened a second ago, and now Reed is seeing the captain move in slow motion.
Reed quickly nocks another arrow, pulls back the string and is almost about to let it go too soon before he gets into the rhythm of the slow moving captain. That brief pause is hopefully enough for the arrow to cut deep into the pirate captain.
Action: Shortbow - 10, 18 to hit (from advantage), 9 + 1 (sneak attack) = 10 piercing damage
Looking down at the woman he came for, he shoves her with his foot and nods, satisfied that the job was done. After avoiding the shoves from the two near him, he turns to go.
Just as he does, he feels the sting of an arrow and turns to see where it came from.
"You there? You dare stick me with an arrow? I'll show you!" and he throws first the dagger in his hand, this one narrowly missing the halfling. He pulls the other dagger out of his belt and whips that one at Reed, the second one sticking (Attack 17, Dam 6)
Wilfred looks to Roo'Stor "You just did exactly what I did! How about we give him the good 1 2, ehh."
Wilfred will step diagnoally up and right, to be opposite Roo. Once in position, he will swing his Glaive about, hitting from both ends. "Let's do this Roo! I bet he's gonna run away like the yellow-bellied chi....child he is!"
Move: Diagonally up. Attack: Glaive To Hit 24, Damage 10 Bonus: Glaive Butt To Hit 24, Damage 6
Both hits from Wilfred land solidly and you can see the captain is worse for wear since he first arrived at the tavern.
Pirate #6 looks to the Captain, sees all the men around him and thinks he is going to stick to the original orders of not letting anyone escape. Moves to the top of the stairs and dodges.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
For once, Roo's Passive Perception being low may work in my favor...
Roo' doesn't even notice as Ironmaiden goes down. He's too focused on the Pirate Captain.
"It is not!" Roo' argues, watching as Wilfred gets into position while he readies his own pounce. "Mine almost did it!"
Seeing the Captain prepare to depart, Roo' scrunches his face as much as a chicken can scrunch a face.
"Like hell!" He shouts as he comes off the table again. "We are going you to kill you, you piece of &%!*! You hear me? You clucked around with the wrong people this time! I hope it was worth it!"
He's already slashing at the Captain's head with his shortsword as he leaps from the table and back...
Virro grits his teeth, deciding that his spell attempts at damage are not having their desired effect. He pulls out his light crossbow and shoots a bolt at the Pirate Captain, trying to bring him down. “Take this you cocky bastard! Not you, Roo.”
Crossbow bolt : 15 to hit, 8 damage to the Pirate Captain, hopefully dropping him.
He turns back to Tarina, the knowledge they need locked inside of her unconscious body and after calculating chances, Virro casts healing word on her for 4 points of healing, hopefully bringing her back..
He looks over at the two pirates by the stairs and the Ironmaiden on the floor. “After those two, and if anyone can heal the Maiden, please do so!”
"I do not know", Corlith replies to Reed about whether Ironmaiden can die. "But I think this one can", he adds motioning to the pirate leader, who was now looking a lot more worse for wear.
"Your arrogance has been your downfall, you should have listened to me and given yourself up", he says to the pirate leader, speaking words of magic to manipulate the essence of order once again into a beam of pure cold.
Action: Cast Ray of Frost at pirate leader. To Hit: 12, Miss!
Reed looks down at the dagger that cut him deeply in the shoulder.
"I'm keeping this," Reed says to himself before taking in the situation.
The pirate captain looks hurt but they can't keep bringing this idiot Tarina back to life for her to only be killed again.
"Couldn't we just take her head back to Zodge?" Reed posits. "Don't they have magic to talk to the dead or something?"
He also looks into the room at his back and the windows just sitting there.
"It's not like they're friends or anything right, mum?" Reed says quietly as he contemplates just calling this whole Flaming Fists thing quits. How hard could it be just to sneak out of the city in the night.
But seeing the feisty rooster and the farmer that reminds him of his dad stepping into harms way, gives him pause. He could at least do the minimum here.
Reed lunges forward, grabs Tarina by the legs and pulls with all his strength. He drags her back towards the doorway to the private dining room.
Unless Tarina only ways 90 lbs, Reed will make use of his push/drag/lift amount but believe that limits him to 5' of movement. At least gets her out of melee range
After being hit solidly several times, the Captain re-evaluates the situation. Seeing his blokes cowering over by the stairs, he yells, "Get ya sorry ass's over here and fight!"
He then spins and sneers at Wilfred with bloodied teeth and crazed malice in his eyes. With practiced finesse he slices not only once, but twice, cutting deep into the father-like figure of the group. (Scimitar attack 24, dam 5; attack 24, dam 7)
He looks down at his belt and scowls that he no longer has his daggers to attack with.
Wilfred takes the blows, but is not looking good. "You should have surrendered."
Wilfred takes a precious moment to lean on his glaive and catch his breath, recovering a small amount from the jarring blows. Then, from his resting position, he kicks out the bottom of his spear as he lunges forward, giving himself a better position to get through the pirate captains guard. He plunges his glaive deep into his side.
He will say to Roo' "Come on, it's all on you now! No pressure, though. Just do your best, or we die."
Bonus: Second Wind 3hp Action: Glaive Attack To Hit 19, Damage 14 Slashing
Barely standing, Wilfred takes his polearm and pierces it right through the captain, the point coming through his back and he crumbles on the spot.
The two pirates standing by the stairs, see their leader extinguished, high tail it down the stairs, grab their friend by the front door and run.
Tarina yanks her arms out of Reed’s grasp and sits up, elisting a coughing fit that lasts pretty long. She finally gets herself up off the floor and takes a seat at the long table.
"You're welcome," he says, his smile back on his face.
He looks over at Ironmaiden still sitting on the floor and heads over to take a closer look.
"So, you're dying?" Reed says looking down at the suit of armour. He looks over at the others and shrugs. "I'm at a loss here."
With no better ideas, he leans over to the dead pirates and pulls off some belts and buckles.
"Maybe we keep the fire in?" Reed says as he wraps several of the belts and shiny buckles around Ironmaiden to block up the gashes in his armour.
Medicine (WIS) roll: 20
Once he's done what he can for Ironmaiden, Reed methodically begins going through all the pockets, pouches and what not of the pirates and pirate captain.
Wilfred, now that the threat has passed, wobbles on his feet a little. "I'm getting to old for this shit."
He sits at the table that Tarina is at. "I don't think that fella liked you very much, Rhonda." He takes a swig from his water skin. "Although, I don't think he liked me very much either."
He looks to his new found comrades "Alright, let's take stock. Who's hurt? Hows the armor doing? Can anyone help them? Oh, and one more thing. Great job out there! Sure there was some stumbles, but that's fine. We'll get better at this. You all showed some great hustle."
”All good here, just a little rattled. Do you folk do this often, because I have never been in a fight like that before?”, he says, clearly not kidding about being rattled.
He looks over at Ronda, “He would rather die than let her live, no kidding he didn’t like her! None of my business though”.
”We’ll let you catch your breath, but you do have some talking to do”, he says to Ronda.
Once he's done looting everything the pirates and pirate captain had on them, including their weapons, boots, pouches (essentially everything except their clothes), Reed piles it all on the table and organizes it into neat piles and rows. He then makes sure to retrieve the arrows he used (the one from the wall, the one from one of the pirates, , and the one from the pirate captain). He examines them carefully to see if they're still usable.
While he doe this, he hums the tune he was humming before.

Once he's done what he can for Ironmaiden, Reed methodically begins going through all the pockets, pouches and what not of the pirates and pirate captain.
The gouts of flame emanating from the cracks in Ironmaiden's armour seem to die down, the belt buckles begin to melt and fill the gaps.
Though, Reed ponders with his medicine check how one could possibly check for a fever in this suit of armour with a molten core.
