Rodan charges into the room behind the others, looks around, and spots the Druid upstairs. He holds still a moment, eyeing the pitiful creature... and he begins to laugh. It is heartfelt and musical, the laughter of one who hasn't has seen anything funny for days, not since coming to this dark land. But now, he stands there, looking up, pointing his sword at the filthy, disgusting, miserable looking wretch of a man and he has himself a good belly laugh, nearly coming to tears.
[vicious mockery: The druid must make a DC12 WIS save or take 2 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.]

Thulewyn givesbthe others a quick grin and turns to scan the area around the druid to make sure the situation didn't change. If not he will let the arrow fly
Attack: 21 Damage: 6
Is this Thulewyn's attack or was that counted as a suprise round move and now is his round 1 turn?
(There is no "surprise round" as I understand it. The rules state that the Surprised characters/NPCs have a status of "surprised", which means no they get no actions or reactions this round. I presume the rules are written like this as Surprise does not have to affect all NPCs at the same time. E.g. hypothetically you might charge in and surprise a bunch of Kobolds, but the Dragon with them might have seen you through the shadows. So the Kobolds would have the "surprised" condition, but the PCs and Dragon would not.)

So we count this as the attack for this round I think, as a readied action. Can't really have an attack prior to the first round - especially as the surprised condition and low Initiative roll of the druid means you all get to attack twice before he gets the chance to do anything!)

Ah, well. Rodan still enjoys getting a good laugh in at the sight of this poor sheep shagger.

Janek rolled low on stealth, but Celeste rolled high. And the rest of the group chose not to approach too closely. (10, 16 = avg of 13, beating its passive perception) So we will consider stealth passed, and the Druid is Surprised by your sudden attack from below.
Well the druid was suprised this round so I believe we have another full set of attacks to try and take it down before it can call for help!
So we count this as the attack for this round I think, as a readied action. Can't really have an attack prior to the first round - especially as the surprised condition and low Initiative roll of the druid means you all get to attack twice before he gets the chance to do anything!)

( Precisely. 2 rounds of attacks for everyone, against a single druid who has not yet had a chance to do anything - even call for help. I'd call that a pretty big tactical advantage)
The druid wheels around, surprised by the sudden volley of arrows and spells. He was struck by arrows from Celeste and Thulewyn (4, and 6 dmg) and slightly scorched by Alcazar's spell (1dmg) but Janek's bolt missed and Rodan's spelll had no effect. He turns to look at you, still grasping his staff and with his mouth open wide in surprise - but all he manages to do in his initial surprise is open and close his mouth a few times, too surprised to even properly react yet.
(His "surprised" condition is now over. You also all gave away your positions, so no one is an unseen attacker in the next round. He is now able to take reactions, and at the end of the round when it's his turn on the Initiative order, will finally get to take an action himself)
Round 2
Celeste 23 <==== you're up again Alcazar 17 Thulewyn 15 Rodan 11 Janek 10 Druid 6
Thulewyn will shoot at the druid after Alcazar's turn:
Attack: 24 Damage: 23 with Colossus Slayer damage included
As the druid bats at the flames on his sleeve, Thulewyn takes careful aims. Almost too late, the druid seems to realise the peril he is in - but Thulewyn's arrow strikes true. With a wet noise, the arrow sticks straight in the centre of the Druid's chest the blood begins to flow from the wound and bubble from his mouth as he claws ineffectually at it. After a few seconds, his struggle stops and he simply falls off from his perch through the hatch and down to the lower floor.
With him falls his peculiar wooden staff, which lands beside him. The staff has a strange sheen and although seemingly made of inanimate wood at the same time you cannot shake the impression that it is somehow ever shifting and pulsing with slight movement. It clearly looks magical to you
Rodan taps the fallen druid with the end of his boot, then looks down at the staff. "Careful with this thing, mates. Looks bleedin' magical. And if that poor dead bloke is any indication, the staff's power is to make you look and smell like you haven't 'ad a proper bath in your whole bloomin' life."
"Now, I, for one, can't see the use of such a thing, but the gods in their infinite wisdom 'ave populated the world with folks of many diverse and downright peculiar tastes."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ignoring the mysterious staff for now, the blonde elven maiden moves to listen for noises suggesting allies of the druid had heard the sounds of battle.
At the sickening thud of the body Alcazar peers around the corner once more. His gaze lingers on the corpse and the staff before he glances up and around for signs that anyone was alerted by the commotion. If all seems quiet he investigates the body more carefully, moving the staff to the side so that he does not inadvertently touch it.
Janek moves back towards the wall to the west, hoping to make it more difficult to seem should someone peer through the opening. He watches the others to see if they detect any signs of activity.

The battle was very quick and the druid didn't even have time to react or call for help. You listen for a bit but hear nothing unusual. The loading dock is open to the outside, so you hear the usual noises of the countryside. There's the sound of mild wind and leaves rustling. The usual creaking noises of an old building. A couple of Ravens have fly in and perch on the roof beams, cocking their heads while looking at you. Nothing that seems to indicate that anyone is rushing to the Druids help

Celeste 23 <==== you're up again
Alcazar 17
Thulewyn 15
Rodan 11
Janek 10
Druid 6
The blonde elven maiden steps closer once more, finding the necessary angle to let another arrow loose towards the evil druid.
Elven Longbow: 18 Piercing: 6
She then steps back into cover and safety again.
The arrow flies wide, going past the druid and burying itself with a twanging noise in one of the wooden beams.
