“I don’t mind the swimming, it’s getting zapped by those fish things that is the horrible part. But, I am game if you will be my back up Kathra. I feel a bit naked without my armor, but you are a beast when you wear next to no protection.”
“Maybe only a couple of us should go to scout it out first until we see what is down there. Do a little recon and come back with the lay of the land?”
Kathra considers this proposal for a moment. "Sure, I don't mind a little water. Plus these babies are even smaller than the ones we fought earlier, so we should be okay."
I will cast ritual version of detect magic, then before swimming I will cast light on the rock again. Remove my armor and go swim under water to see what Kathra and I find
Kathra is already not wearing armor, but she does strip down to her smallclothes before hopping into the water. It is not entirely useful, but she keeps her axe strapped to her back when she does so.

EDIT: For some reason that dice roll isn't coming through on my end, so here's another one I guess?

...and now it's coming through. I guess use the first, shittier roll.
((Nah, it's cool, I'll use the second one. The dice gods have punished you a lot already,))
For Kathra and Gavin:
You both splash down into the water, swimming down the flooded stairway using Gavin's lighted stone to guide you. The water is slightly murky, and you can see a large number of Storm Seal larva have made their home here as their glimmering scales reflect off the light in a few roiling schools that pulse and writhe in the corners of the room. The room itself has worn stone walls that are slick with wet moss that drifts lazily in the water. Large clumps of what looks like stone furniture that has been overtaken by silt and mosses litter the floor.
Kathra spies one clump that looks more box shaped than the others, likely a stone chest of some kind, among the rubble.
Gavin, you detect no new magic at this time, though, if something is in that stone chest, the confines might be interfering with your magics.
For the rest of the party:
The room you are in is a smaller room, much like the ones you have been in previously. There is a short hallway to the west that you can see opens into another dead-end room. However, before you get to do much exploring, Gavin and his light source dives into the completely flooded room with Kathra, leaving you mostly in the dark with the minnows. A few seconds later, a loud "BZZZZZTTT!" sound echoes down the dark tunnels.
An example of the rooms you are in:

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
The stone lid of the box does not appear to be locked in any meaningful way, but the latch holding it closed seems to have rusted shut. An Athletics roll might help pry it open. you may roll with advantage if you use some sort of tool or weapon to help you pry it open.
For Mirabel:
You listen intently, but all you hear is the quiet lapping of the water and the faint sound of the storm outside.

((I just.....I don't understand how this can keep happening....))
For Kathra and Gavin:
The stone chest seems much more stuck than you would have thought. So much so, that you realize after a brief struggle with it that you are running really short on air down here under the water. Deciding for a moment to maybe take a breather, you struggle for the stairs.
I need Athletics checks from the both of you.

((Kathra, if it makes you feel any better, I played in my weekly game last night and rolled twice into double digits in 3 hrs of play. I am a fighter and we had 3 medium sized battles. I only hit once during the entire game and probably took 12-15 swings. I feel your pain))
As Kathra and Gavin come up for air, Mub descends into the flooded room like a wounded duck, stirring up all manner of silt and detritus in his wake. By some sick twist of fate, however, he does manage to find the stone chest and pop the lid, likely thanks to all the previous work from his companions. Inside, lined in perfect rows, as six gleaming silver plates decorated with what appears to be a mixture of strange symbols and a blueish glass or gemstone.

"I don't suppose anyone here fancies a swim..." Kathra says, and heads north.
Mub just nods.

Last time Kathra messed with something she wasn't sure about, she got electrocuted and ended up with weird star tattoos on her skin.
So obviously she is gonna try opening up that box.
Mirabel spins around in the direction of the BZZZZT, fully prepared to explode another golem.
"Fine time for them to go swimming again." He quietly grumps in the darkness, keeping an ear out for any tell-tale sign of stomping death.

Gavin will help Kathra open the chest if possible ((advantage on her athletics roll?))
((that way if you roll crappy (which never happens!) Then you won’t break whatever you use))
((Yes, between you and/or whatever tool she may use, she will get advantage.))
((Alright, then Kathra will attempt to muscle this thing open:
Athletics: 10
...I am at a loss for words))

((Lets get some air and I then come back down and I will give this thing a try))
((Seems like a plan.))

Mub will try
(why not)

Mub will take it all up to them.
(if he can that is)
