Malvyn has indeed followed close behind Guardok and nods as his friends whisper, trying to remain calm and recalling the eldritch magic he knew to defend himself. He goes down on one knee and takes a closer look at the bodies, trying to determine if they are in fact dead, and if so, how they died. He also looks around for anything on them that could tell him who they are and where they came from, although the first impression is that they were bandits or something.
Both Guardok and Malvyncheck the bodies, and you both come to the conclusion that they are dead. Malvyn isn't certain, but there are spots of blood that are dried to an extent that they did not just happen. Although, you also do not really see cuts or other wounds on these two. You aren't sure exactly how they were killed.
As you look more closely at the bodies, you see a simple hawk symbol imprinted on their armor. Kira notices this and remarks, "It's the Mountain Hawk's symbol. They're a group of bandits around Silkmeadow. Never seen them when we've gone up here, but I've heard stories of them here and there."
"Bandits!?", Guardok exclaims in surprise. "If the bandits are dead, who would have killed them? I would have thought bandits would have set upon travellers. But if they did and they were fought off, where are the travellers? Or is there a rival band of..well bandits", he asks as he checks the bodies for possessions, looking to see if they were robbed.
"We should perhaps notify the proper authorities in Silkmeadow." Malvyn says as he gets up to move on, the thought of them following the tracks not even occuring to the young student.
