Bryony follows Quinn, her booted feet making more noise than she is used to hearing from her own footsteps. Still, she is quiet as only a 3 foot halfling can be. Her hand itches to go to the hilt of her dagger as her eyes scan the surroundings, wondering where the goblins are hiding. Probably inside that cave if she had to guess. She doesn't relish the thought of entering a goblin cave, on their home turf.
The slow-moving stream is only about two feet deep. The thicket on the other side looks fairly impenetrable, but Quinn can make out drag marks and footprints on the banks of other (east) side of the stream, at the edge of the thicket. The goblins must have crossed over somewhere behind them, to the south. From near the edge of the steep, rocky hillside, Quinn can just see around the north side of the thicket, where there is a patch of beaten-down grass.
Quinn squints his eyes and spots signs of where the goblins crossed. He looks back at the party and points to the area that he's focused on. He indicates that there's something just beyond the thicket.
He moves a few steps northeast to where the escarpment meets the streams edge. He motions for the party to move in while he aims his bow and arrow towards the tamped down grass. He will provide cover for the party.
Readied action: ranged bow & arrow attack on any threats that emerge from the thicket.

Syzygy grips and removes the quarterstaff strapped and slung across his back. He pauses before stepping into the stream and with staff pokes and prods the width of water to the right of Jurgen. "Let's hope for a sturdy footing, and, no more goblin tricks beneath the flow."
Bow at the ready, Quinn advances right to the edge of the cave mouth. He can see a little more of the clearing behind the thicket, but nothing of interest. But at this proximity, Quinn can also see into the cave a little bit more. He can see a few uneven stone steps leading upwards on the right, off the path. It doesn't smell great inside.
The sound of the splashing stream covers most all other sounds here. You can't hear anything else.
Further downstream, Syzygy tests the stream bottom. It is sandy and firm, the water ice cold. It'll get your boots and legs wet, but should be easy enough to cross.
Not being the wet shoes kind of adventurer, Syzygy takes his off, bundles the bottoms of his robes and crosses the stream. On the opposite side of the stream he takes a moment to dry his feet with his robes and puts his shoes back on. He then softly treads, tracing the line of thickets and attempting to ascertain what's on the other side. If things go South, I at least want a seamless escape.
Tessa touches her spear point to the orb she wears around her neck, and it begins glowing with a gentle, sunny Light. She approaches the cave with the others.
Jurgen squeezes just inside the cave mouth along the west side of the stream, with Quinn and Tessa right behind him. However, he finds that the gurgling stream presses right up against the west wall. They'll need to cross the stream to the east side to venture in any further, or wade in two feet of water into the oncoming rapids. Inside, you can see a small, dank chamber at the top of the few uneven stone steps on the east side of the passage. You just discern the rattle of a chain over the noise of the burbling stream.
On the other side of the stream, Syzygy peeks into the back side of the shrubbery. Alarmed by his less-than-stealthy approach, three goblins, who previously had been sitting in the grass sharing a smoke and some snacks, fumble with their weapons.
Roll initiative! Everyone except the goblins and Syzygy (and Quinn, if they emerge into his view) are surprised and may not act this turn.
Two goblins with shortbows and scimitars: 10 Goblin with javelin and scimitar: 12
As Syzygy peeks behind the shrubbery a bug flies into his mouth and he coughs alerting the goblins. Thankfully he was somewhat ready to act and flicks a pinch of sand at the creatures attempting to send them all to (spell)sleep(/sleep). (5d8 = 18 hp total) [assuming I go first].
And Zyzygy backs up a bit toward the cave entrance, announcing we got company.
Quinn tracks Syzygy with his short bow as they attack something just beyond his vision. He lets loose an arrow, firing blindly while being sure to not to hit his companion.
Ranged short bow attack: 13 (w/disadvantage) for 4 damage
Bryony suddenly hears a commotion from the other side of the stream where Syzygy had gone to explore. She crosses the stream, unsheathing her short sword and dagger. She comes across her companion facing down three goblins, two of which are apparently fast asleep. The halfling moves to engage the goblin that is still awake.
Shortsword: 15 to hit, 6 dmg
Bonus Action Dagger Attack: 8 to hit, 6 dmg
(I will be rolling everything from my character sheet since I don't trust the forum dice roller anymore!)
Bryony sloshes through the stream and joins Syzygy at the top of the thicket. She gets within view of the goblins (but cannot approach them this turn without dashing. Does she want to Dodge instead?)
Quinn, Tessa, and Syzygy may act next!
(I think I'm abandoning the new D&DB Map for now. I don't like the timeout problem, among other things. Resuming my Photoshopped maps, below...)

Still unable to see the attackers, Quinn may use his reaction to fire his bow blindly in the direction he say Syzygy hit (at Disadvantage.)
Then, anyone with an initiative above 12 may attack. (Tessa, can you edit to nudge, or reroll that initiative?)
