The stairwells on each side of the building lead upwards only. Neither is spiral.
Hsion is busy taking bets and handing out chits to the customers when you approach. You work yourself up to the front of the line. "Not the best time for that, bud," he states gesturing around at the crowd. He takes another's bet and then yells over to the orc guard standing beside the bet makers, "Take these four to Grak." He turns back to you, "He will take you to the Pitmaster." The orc grunts and nods then gestures for you to follow him.
The guard then leads you through the door in the NW corner and down a flight of steps to the lower level. Through another door and a short hall and you are standing in the northern staging room. The hall continues ahead to a door at the end and turns to the right as well. Mud formed from blood, other fluids and the clay of the arena forms a fine layer on the floor. A large portcullis blocks the doorway into the arena. Through the portcullis you see the Goliath and orc still fighting. A human fighter warming up and preparing to enter the arena. He is unarmed and unarmored. An orc guard is in the corner, appearing bored. Another orc is there in a fine robe and hat attended by a dwarf in more plain garb. The orc walks up to the finely dressed orc and is brushed aside as another orc fighter and what you assume is his handler, a human, come barreling into the room to confront the finely dressed orc. Your guard and the other snap to attention to intervene and much shouting and shoving is taking place. You catch that the finely dressed orc is Grak.
Starker:”Grak, Hsion suggested we speak to you. One or more of my friends might be interested in participating in this competition. Could you let us know the rules and how the compensation is determined and how they can get a spot?”
Starker's entreaty to Grak seems lost in the confusion currently surrounding him. The two orc guards are pushing and shoving the other fighter and his manager away from Grak, with minimal success. The fighter prepping for his upcoming contest has moved off to the side and seems irritated by the other fighter and his manager. It is a hot mess in progress here. Gneuman, Kragen and Hoid seem unnoticed by all involved.
whispering back to Starker, Gnueman and Hoid. "right, i will remain to not draw attention and Gnueman and or Hoid could discreetly explore?" winks at Starker.
Kragen and Starker remain in the staging room with the arguing orcs and humans. Lots of shoving and yelling is taking place. This is not getting better.
Hoid and Gneuman quietly drift across the room to the hall beyond. There is a door ahead on the opposite wall. The hall then turns to the right and bends back to the left. Voices can be heard from down the hall as well as grunting and movement. It seems to be a similar cadence to the fighter warming up in the room with arguing people.

Keep sneaking down the corridor. Use Ajax to scout accordingly.
The hall continues a short distance and ends in a door. An orc guard stands in front of that door. The hall continues to the left. It is from there you hear the voices and the sounds of movement and grunting. The room is lit and shadows can be seen moving suggesting that there are several people in the room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The arguing between the manager and his orc brawler with Grak has only escalated. None of you speak orcish and that is what the majority of the yelling is taking place in. There is some sprinkled in common and what sounds like a proper name, Gax, is mentioned a lot. Each time it is the manager and his fighter get more angry. Starker's comment was just the spark this keg of powder needed. The manager spins on Starker and shoves him into the corner, "Why don't you piss off ***face!" As Starker's head bounces off of the very solid stone wall (1hp bludgeoning damage) he notices that the manager used an exclamation point, not a question mark, while delivering his message.
Grak is surprised at the physical outburst, but not the brawler who was warming up. He launches several blows at the manager, Fist to hit = 27 for 9 and 25 for 12 bludgeoning damage.
The first blow takes the manager by surprise and the second is lights out for him.
The orc brawler sees his manager collapse like a sack of onions and comes after the human brawler. The guards are moving in to the fight as well. Grak has taken a defensive stance.
From above, you hear a great roar come from the crowd. Looking through the portcullis you watch the orc finish a very effective combo against the Goliath who now appears stunned.
Screams: “Congratulations. It seems I am pissed off. If you touch me again I will kill you, glutteus maximus visage. Everyone look here for an educational object lesson”
Starker moves out of danger and begins to REALLY create a scene now. The human brawler says to him, "You should wager on me, Sphinkx, in the next bout." The orc at the foot of the steps moves to see what is afoot as well.
The orc brawler is undeterred and swings at the human brawler, to hit = 25 for 8 and 26 for 8 bludgeoning damage. The human fighter makes a STR save = 27.
The guards both strike at the orc brawler with clubs, to hit = 16 for 5, 4 for 5, 10 for 6, and 21 for 7 bludgeoning damage.

Starker in a whispered aside to the party members:”perhaps you could look around while everyone is distracted?”

Before Kragen acts/intervenes, just to clarify. Grak struck the manager or the Brawler struck his manager?
The human fighter who was warming up when you arrived knocked out the manager.
The manager’s fighter, an orc, is now going after the human fighter.
Starker to act
Gneuman has slipped through the door at the end of the hall. None of the people involved in the argument seems to have noticed.

Cast Misty Step to get outa Dodge. Head towards foot of NE corner stairs. Try to draw a lot of attention.

The orc guards rain club blows down on the orc brawler for 30hp of damage.

Starker to the nearby guard: “It is getting out of hand over there. Your collagues may need some help. I bet you see this a lot.”
