He pauses taking in Starker, his tools, and whatever bits are still left. (Assuming there is evidence, them ignore the rest of this.)
"For +&@$*(in giant) sake, we're gone for ten minutes and you all resort to desecrating corpses!? Why chop them up? Why not just use them whole? Or better better use some of the metal from the rain of death earlier!"
He shakes his head, then softer says"...or Xymox could just have set it off them jump onto the wall, so many other options."
He looks around like a parent disappointed with their kids.
Chadwick sighs (somewhat dramatically) "I found two corpses. They still had their gear, that which hadn't rotted away. The was a holy symbol of **, and a few coins. All of which I plan to donate to the temple. I also found this vial of what I assume is a potion, but don't know for sure.
There is a chance some of their gear might be magic, hard to imagine someone coming in here without some kind of magic. Kragen had to sacrifice a few things in making a wedge to slow down the trap, so not sure if it's worth the risk right now."
We were not real excited about getting the arrowheads… with traps to traverse… considering we were working on getting both of you out of a trap. Potentially setting off another seemed a bad idea.
Unless they were fresh enough to speak with and gain information, I’m not sure it’s worth the risk to try to go now. We can properly deals with the all of remains once we sort the situation
And are we sure people ion the walls are safe when the trap triggers? That may make this less risking than I had thought
Kragen nods as Chadwick is providing his report on pit operations then looks at Starker when Chadwick mentions his condition and then frowns, shakes his head in disgust.
then looks to Trolkarl. “Master Trolkarl, thank for finding…” pauses a moment to consider, then continues “unconventional” says that deliberately “means of triggering the floor trap, allowing us to escape.” Then looks to Starker “I am sure Mage Starker handle the situation with proper respect for the dead and ensured their souls rested peacefully in Valhalla!”
”nothing but a pit and fallen hero’s below. Xymox and I could probably figure out how to retrieve any items of value however not sure it is worth it?”
”we need to determine a way for all to traverse the floor and get through that door” points to the one across the floor.”
”I heard a click when you were able to activate the mechanism, did you find its means??”
“Now, as to gaining access to what lies beyond that door … Two of us can walk on walls. I can Misty Step from near the pivot point to the end of the room. I can ritually cast Tensor’s Floating Disc and use it to move masses of up to one and one-half barrels of ale at a time.
”First, you send a nun and a cannibal across, then the nun comes back. Then, you send a cannibal back … (continues to mutter to self) …”
”we should verify that we can’t approach access the room via a wall or ceiling. I’ll go do so, we can then decide how or if we find out the trigger point for the floor.”

Kragen enters the room via the wall to threshold to wall. Then walks up the wall to ceiling, moves to center and then walks to the door threshold. If the floor is not moving toward him, he will peer into the room.
Kragen turns to Chad “sir Chadwick, please move to the other room with the group while I try this door. If I trigger the floor again, only want one of us to need to react.”

once Chadwick has moved out of the room, Kragen reaches down, somewhat awkwardly, and try’s the door handle to open the door.

Kragen and Chadwick are still at the location indicated on the map. Kragen walks onto the wall and over to the niche at the far end with the door.
It is a smaller door than the others you have seen here. It is made of wood with iron bands. There is a handle and a lock.
Chadwick remains in place. The rest of you are on the opaque floor with ropey flames moving through it.
