Dracor is startled and jumps slightly when Wucrath announces the presence of boars. "Oh... I'm sure we can handle a pig wulcrath... Although a roast boar does sounds like it would make a good meal later..." The dragonborn says with a smile.
Something resembling a smile creeps it's way across Wulcrath's own face, though he doesn't turn back to look at the Noble Dragonborn as he replies. "With all due respect my Liege... A Boar is no free meal." He says simply, his eyes scanning ahead in the hopes he can spot any such creature before they chance upon and most likely startle it. His time in the wilds had taught him quite well that some animals can be just as dangerous as any brigand or monster. And who knows what lurks in this wood in particular?

Dracor lets out a small laugh. "Oh Surly hunting a boar cannot be that difficult! I have had roast boar on many occasions! If simple peasants and farmers can hunt and prepare them... then surely a pair of noble dragonborn like ourselves would have no problem!" The gold and silver dragonborn boasts with a wide smile. He then waves his hand and sends his dancing lights swirling out a little farther around him out into the trees and brush, hoping to illuminate any boars or other creatures hiding out there.
The young Paladin listens to the exchange between the dragonborns. He’s not sure whether it’s because he’s getting used to the noble’s outlook on things, but he doesn’t bother responding, merely chuckling to himself.
He stands up after inspecting the footprints. After their experience with the rats at the farm, he’s not sure whether to trust the beast that live in this forest.
Once the group is ready to move forward, he follows while keeping the rear guard.
For a moment, you can see three boars moving around, possibly looking for food around the foliage. Suddenly, alarmed by your presence, the animals halt their grunting and rooting, their movements becoming tense and agitated. Ears pricked forward, nostrils flaring, sharp tusks gleaming, they prepare to defend their territory. With a low, guttural growl, the largest boar takes a step forward, its hooves pawing at the ground in a display of primal aggression. The others follow suit, their collective gaze fixed upon the group, ready to charge any moment now.

Aeran Dormaris - L2 Paladin on his way to Phandelver
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Initiative: 17
At some point, Wulcrath falls behind a bit, and of course... THAT'S when the group chances upon these boars.
With an annoyed scowl and a growl rumbling out of him to match, the Dragonborn draws his sword, his mood instantly tanking again. "Must we slaughter every damned thing we come across!?"

Considering the restricted space they have to fight in, Preston takes his glaive in favor of his sword and strides forward until he’s within reach of boar 2. He will attempt to strike at it.
Preston's sword connects with the boar's body, wounding the animal significantly. Yet, the creature doesn't shriek in pain. Its eyes still glowing in purple, its mouth starts foaming as it prepares for retaliation.

Aeran Dormaris - L2 Paladin on his way to Phandelver
Seeing as how one Boar is already wounded, the Dragonborn decides to focus his efforts on that one and does what a fighter does... He wanders into the Fray. Longsword poised to strike, and his shield low to protect his scaly stomach from an untimely goring, Wulcrath tries to finish what Preston started.
Longsword To Hit: 25
Damage: 12
(Rolled in the Game Log this time because I kinda no longer trust the dice roller lol)

(Would my roll be enough to determine if the footprints are of a regular sized boar or if they are larger than normal?)
The prints that Preston sees appear to be ones of regular sized boars, but how many of them is unclear to him.
