(Everyone let me know whether you were sleeping in Krackle's carriage or out in the open.)
In the open.
I mean, now that I see the monsters, I want to say "in the carriage." But I think that Ixsas is more likely sleeping outside, close to the campfire. Of course, if he's sleeping outside, he's more likely to be sleeping in his armor, if that's allowed. (We haven't had an unexpected attack at night, so it hasn't really come up yet.)
Oh, and once awake, does Ixsas recognize what these creatures are? Nature4
(Well Zeds wasn't sleeping as he is the one who spotted the flock... But in general I would think Zeds sleeps near Krackle's carriage but not in it. Maybe even under it... But would vary a bit each night depending on how wet, hard, rocky, etc the land is. I could be wrong but I don't see Krackle's carriage as all that roomy for stretching out...)
Zeds, always the most watchful eye, sees these things coming and calls out to the others. A bit softly at first as he thinks perhaps they will just fly by... But louder and louder once he is sure they will not. "Wake up you scurvy bird-meat!!" he's finally calling at the top of his lungs as he draws his short bow and shoots once they are within range (80' or less.)
Shortbow vs Bird: 15 to hit for 6 piercing damage
Then as a bonus action Zeds attempts to hide... For his own protection but also to have advantage on the next turn. (Stealth: 17)
((OOC: Are the creatures on the ground or attacking from the air? Are they scattered around the camp, or are they clustered in one area? How mixed are they with the caravanners? I guess Serge, Krackle, and Zeds are by Krackle's carriage, but Ixsas is currently near the center of the wagon circle.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krackle awakens to the sound of chaos taking place outside his carriage. He quickly looks next to him and is releved to see his egg safe and sound. After pulling his orb from his pocket he slings open the door of his carriage and sticks his head outside. Swing the mayhem taking place, he quickly begins muttering under his breath in draconic. A moment later the kobold sends Three spectral dragons erupt from his orb and streak through the dark before slamming into three separate bird creatures..
Zeds's shouts rouse Ixsas from his sleep. He's encouraged by the sight of the flames from the campfire, but he immediately becomes aware of the loud sound of flapping wings followed quickly by the screams of one of the caravanners. Ixsas grabs his shield and stands up, finally seeing the creatures swooping low over the caravanners. While they're in the air, they're too close to the wagons and the caravanners to use Fireball. Fighting these flying terrors in the dark is going to be difficult, but Ixsas hopes that he can make that easier for his companions. He casts Faerie Fire up and to the northwest of him. (That is, he's trying to get the 3 leftmost monsters on the map in the AoE.) Perhaps if they can kill some of the creatures, it will drive off the others.
Ixsas yells out a suggestion to the caravanners, "Do not panic! We handled 4 trolls at once, and we can certainly drive away these beasts! Get down! Get under the wagons...on the east side of camp if you can make it." He points toward the side of the wagon circle where Krackle's carriage is.
Movement: 15' of movement to stand up from prone Action: Cast spell (LVL 1 slot) Faerie Fire. Outline all objects and creatures in the area in green light. Attacks against affected creatures or objects have advantage, and affected creatures or objects lose any benefits from being invisible. All creatures in the 20-ft cube must pass a DEX 15 saving throw to avoid the effect. Bonus Action: None Free Action: Item interaction - equip shield. Talking. Reaction: The first it looks like one of the creatures is going to hit Ixsas, he'll use Warding Flare to impose disadvantage on the attack.
Serge activates Shield as a reaction deflecting those attacks
Round 2
Post when able. The one with the charmed ring is WV 3 that is affected by faerie fire. No one noticed where Zeds hid. The caravanners do as instructed by Ixsas.
Zeds aims his shortbow and fires at the flying rat just north of Ixsas? I think? NE of Serge... Targeting that one so that he gets benefit of Sneak Attack on a hit...
Shortbow Attack: 1 or 15 +8 for 23to hit for 8piercing damage plus 3Sneak Attack damage
Zeds then rolls out of his hidey hole and scrambles to the next one he can find - Be it under a wagon, behind a bush or whatever just so long as he can hide.
As the creature swoops down to bite Ixsas, a bright light flashes from Ixsas's holy symbol, momentarily blinding the creature and giving Ixsas time to get his shield in its way. Perhaps because of that distraction, its barbed stinger also swipes wide of Ixsas. He holds his ground, not wanting to give the creatures an easy target by running away.
With the creatures still flapping around above their heads, Ixsas grasps his holy symbol and calls out, "May the light of the Flame Lord burn you all!"
As Ixsas struggles to defend himself from the things, he calls out, "Zeds, shoot down the glowing one while you can. I'm not sure how long I can maintain that spell."
((OOC: if the creatures are flying above us and using flyby to swoop down and attack, I don't know whether Ixsas and Serge still count as "adjacent" to any of the creatures for the purposes of Rogue's Sneak Attack.))

Round 1
Chaos erupts in the camp as these wyvern variants descend onto the camp biting and stinging.
Ixsas does not recognize these creatures.
The party goes first. Post when able.

The wyvern variants are in the air swooping low among the camp. All of them are 10ft above the ground. They are scattered and not clumped together.
The circle of wagons is 50 ft across so the wyvern variant are scattered within the circle of wagons. The caravanners are below some of them.
Here is a battle map.
