Zeds continues to cough and sputter, wiping his eyes on his sleeve and blinking rapidly to try to clear his eyes. He wanted to interrupt Krackle and explain that... that... Well, he wasn't even sure what he wanted to explain or how. These are dragon eggs. In the lair of an evil dragon cult. You can't expect them to be given a chance... Can you? Really? Even if they could grow up good who was going to show them how? Krackle? Ok sure, he could sit on an egg. Why not? But raise a dragon? After a fortnight he would be snack sized to the hatchling and unable to train of discipline or...
Zeds sighs and allows Krackle to have his say and then wander off. Least Zeds could do is sit there and take it. He really shouldn't have tried to do that... He should have at least been honest with the kid.
As Krackle goes to the next room Zeds decides he may as well at least look into the chest he got a faceful of acid and an earful of scorn because of...
“Who do you think can parents them? You? Zed is right. You’ll be their snack. If you think you can parent them than you’re clearly delusional. We destroying the eggs is just our way to gain an upper hand against our enemy. These eggs are their future weapons. See it that way. It’s not about you, it’s not about good and evil. We are at war.” Ironthar said to Krackle just before he goes.
Ironthar then look upon the corpse of Cyanwrath and draw an axe, chopping the head of the dragonman.
"Well maybe I am dumb then..." The kobold replies softly as he continues to leave the room, not turning back, just continuing to shuffle forward... barley loud enough to be heard by the others.
Zeds empties the chest of the precious items and transfers them to his own person... If the chest is large enough he then, carefully, pick up and puts the three uncracked eggs into it. He will also spend a little time moving the... remains... of the other two eggs into a shadowy corner or someplace not totally obvious.
"Krackle..." Zeds starts, hesitantly, catching up to the Kobold. "Look, I have made the other three as safe as I can for now. Let's finish what we are doing here and if we have time at the end we'll come back, grab the eggs, and decide what to do with them far away from here. Ok? I get that we don't see the situation like you do... But you also don't see it like we do. Let's just set that aside for now and hopefully we can solve the issue sometime when we're not sneaking around the enemy camp, eh?"
Krackle turns to towards zeds and slowly lifts his head. After wiping the end of his snoot with his sleeve he would give a small sniffle before revealing a small cautious smile. "OK, Sounds good." He would reply. "I uhh.. was just going to scout out the next room... and I didn't want to watch the eggs get broken." Krackle would whisper. "Was... there anything good in the box?" He would ask as he tries to think about something else.
"Some gems, a necklace, a ring..." Zeds answers, patting the pouch on his belt he shoved them in. "Nice little payday perhaps, assuming we make it out alive." Zeds then follows Krackle quietly to the next area. He feels bad that he's more than half hoping just moving the eggs will jar them enough to make them non-viable... Or that they'll be broken by the time (if) they return... But he just didn't have it in him to stomp them all with Krackle right there...
Stirling sat back and watched the events unfold. He hates the act of the deed but sees the wisdom in it. As Krackel turns to leave Stirling join putting his arm around his friend. Partly to console partly to restrain.
"Come friend maybe we will run into a metal dragon I heard they are goodly by nature."
"I hope I get to meet a gold one some day.. Or maybe a silver one or a brass one... They all seem really neat." Krackle would reply to Stirling.... Giving him a small smile as well. Before stopping to pull out a new torch and lighting it. He would then continue to move forward towards the next room. "what do you think would be some good dragon names? Krackle Jr is already taken so that is out..." He would continue as they walked farther away from Ironthar and the remaining helpless eggs....
Krackle and Sterling takes the winding stairs towards 8
Near 8 you see the flickering light of lanterns and the muffled sound of people chatting in low voices. They have not seen you yet but will if you progress any further.
Stirling will stop to listen and signal for Krackel to put out the torch. If Stirling can see the lips he will read them (observant trait) if not he will just listen.
"How many people are in this place..." The kobold grumbles as he extinguishes his torch... I'm still hurting quite a bit and my spells are getting pretty weak... I suppose we should wait to peak around the corner until everyone is with us.
"Let me sneak up ahead and see what I can see," Zeds whispers to the others and then cautiously moves around them and attempts to stealth into a better location so he can see what they are dealing with...
Sterling pricks up his ears and can hear several people chatting from the winding stairs but would need to move closer to hear what they are saying as he cannot see them at the moment.

Within the chest you find

The chest is large enough for 1 egg.
These be big eggs! Ok, one egg in chest the other two placed behind the chest...

What do you do next?

Perception: 20
"How many people are in this place..." The kobold grumbles as he extinguishes his torch... I'm still hurting quite a bit and my spells are getting pretty weak... I suppose we should wait to peak around the corner until everyone is with us.
"Let me sneak up ahead and see what I can see," Zeds whispers to the others and then cautiously moves around them and attempts to stealth into a better location so he can see what they are dealing with...
Stealth: 12+6 for 18
Zeds sneaks up ahead and sees 2 cultists and 2 dragonclaws.
8 is a second barracks.
Sterling pricks up his ears and can hear several people chatting from the winding stairs but would need to move closer to hear what they are saying as he cannot see them at the moment.
"Four of them," Zeds whispers to the other once he sneaks his way back. "Four of us... I hate a fair fight. Maybe we try to lure one or two this way?"
