"Oh, we never thought that we might get freed. We just assumed this was our existence now. While it might not do much for us, it would certainly bring me joy if you could at least make that hag pay. It was her magic that corrupted the well which led to our deaths." "And me" "Me too"
“Yet another reason to deal with the Hag it seems,”Moneo says, looking to the wisps, adding, “It was already our intention to do so, but your plight has given us yet more motivation to return Prismeer the way it was. Do you know of anything that might be helpful for us to know for when we may encounter the fiend?”
"I'm afraid not. But we can each provide a small boon to one of you to helpbas a thank you for your offer to help with the hag. It is the only reciprocation we can give. Sorry we can't help you all."
As the three who have spoken with them about helping, Moneo, Barreknar and Fa'ame all get the boon (Fa'ame, you would know these wells are scattered around hither so chances are, you will bump into another one).
Magic Boon The will-o’-wisp grants a boon to one creature it can see within 5 feet of it that isn’t an Undead. The boon’s recipient gains a d4 and can, at any time within the next 24 hours, roll this die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw made by it. No creature can have more than one of these magic boons at a time.
"Welll, any help is appreciated, I'm just sorry we were able to do anything for you yet, but we will help seek justice on the hag that caused you and everyone else here harm. What are your names?" Barreknar feels a bit energy pass over him. Realizing that feeling must be the boon the will-o’-wisp spoke of, He bows to each of them in turn.
Fa'ame inclines her head slightly. "We are at yours. May your lights continue to shine bright during these dark times. And may we one day see them again."She then looks to the others. "Shall we continue onward then?"

As they walk on Barreknar looks at the cage, "So I get the first order of business is to, you know, get you out of there, but do we need to do something about hiding the cage as we walk about? I know the sent snake to retrieve you before but once they learn the snakes failed, won't more be sent to look for you?"
“We didn’t get a chance to ask the snakes who sent them to find you,” Moneo says to their little dragon friend in the cage as they walk forward keeping an eye out for the hill. “Any idea who it may have been?”
"Well seeing as I escaped from Bavlorna, it makes sense that she would want me back. But there could be other parties at play that I don't know about. As far as more people coming to find me, it depends on how desperate they are. The balloon is easy to follow, but finding a cage is less so."
You make your way forward, reaching a thick mist. As you push through to the other side of the mist, you are greeted by the scent of sweet-smelling fruit. Damp, downy, silvery-green moss blankets a gentle upward slope before giving way to a craggy ridge that marks the top of the hill. Dozens of enormous willow trees dot the hillside, swaying as though in a breeze despite the absence of one. As you start to climb the hill, 4 trees approach you, and one talks in a low rumbling voice "Welcome to Telemy hill. How long do you plan on staying?"
Moneo tries to keep his astonishment to a minimum at the talking trees, and replies, “A welcoming committee! How nice! Ah… Tree friends, hopefully we will not be here too long, and certainly not long enough to overstay our welcome. We are looking for a goblin who is said to collect keys. Hopefully he.. or is it a she? I actually do not know… will be able to help us with a certain locked cage,” holding the cage with the captive dragon up for the trees to see.
"You are here to see my friend Jingle Jangle! She is friendly and loves keys, hence the name. It comes from the fact she wears a coat of keys that jingle and jangle when she walks. It is nice that someone is here to see her. Three days ago while rooting through the swamp for truffles, she was attacked and robbed by brigands. She hasn't left her den since returning so must be getting pretty hungry now."
The specific tree talking changes every now and then. You gather it is less the trees talking, and more the hill itself, via the trees.
“We have met some brigands as well… They seem to be flaunting the Rules of this land. I would be happy to share some of the rations I brought from our realm with her, though I haven’t got truffles perhaps I can figure out the flavor…” Moneo says, looking to the others in a gesture of ‘let’s go’, he smiles to the trees and begins walking up the hill again.
Barreknar shakes his suprised state and tries ti focus at the task at hand by focusing in the cage and not looking directlyat the talking trees. "Did you happen to mention where Jingle's den is? Or know anything about these brigands? Sometimes witnesses can give clearer descriptions then the direct victim. Plus the more we can learn of the brigands, the less we would need to ask of Jingle about them if it turns out we need to confront them on Jingle's behalf." Barreknar is trying to remember some of the sleuthing techniques the guards used to do when trying to find out information about a crime in the city. He had been on a few cases, but only as support.
You notice the trees along the hill all shifting to create a path up, branches waving in a non-existent wind to point up the path. "It happened away from me. I can only relay what Jingle told me, which was that she was beaten and had the truffles stolen. And something about a blue scarf but I didn't catch that clearly."
You follow the path up, eventually reaching a cave, the entrance shaped like a keyhole. (The spoiler assumes you enter)
Worn stone steps lead down into what feels like a cellar. It’s chilly in here, and you detect a subtle scent of iron in the air. From a distant spot within the chamber, sputtering candles illuminate a multitude of keys dangling from taut strings that crisscross the walls. Hundreds of other keys lie strewn across the dirt floor.
As you take in the scene, you hear the sound of keys jingling as a goblin emerges from the dimness. She wears a coat lined with metal keys and carries a flail that has padlocks for heads. She manages a faint smile and says, “How might Jingle Jangle unlock a bit of happiness in your lives today?”
“We’re hoping you might have found a key to this cage,”Moneo says, holding it up. He then adds, “We also heard that you lost your truffles.. I’m sorry to hear that. Can you tell us more about how that happened? And, while I haven’t gotten any truffles, I do have some simple travelers food, but, I can almost guarantee that you’ll enjoy the flavor.” As he hands over a ration, he quickly casts prestidigitation over it to give it the flavor of fresh truffles.
Eliaanore stands outside, not entering, but also not hiding. She does her best to listen in, for whatever good it does. If this gets her closer to the Lady, so be it. Something about this place -- Prismeer, in general -- just seems off. She feels... restless.
Eliaanore, you do hear the clinking of keys a lot. Even from outside you can hear there must be hundreds of keys here.
Moneo the goblin replies to you. "Jingle Jangle was digging for truffles in the swamp when a bunch of harengons leapt out from behind the reeds and shrubbery. They took Jingle Jangle’s truffles, threw Jingle Jangle down in the mud, and whacked Jingle Jangle with their wooden clubs. Better you should have that key than those long-eared brigands. First they stole Jingle Jangle’s truffles. Next, they’ll want Jingle Jangle’s keys. Someone ought to give them a good shaking down so they know what it feels like! Jingle Jangle would happily accept some basic food as payment for the key." she takes a bite and her eyes go wide. "This is not basic food. This is delicious! Jingle Jangle doesn't have anything else physical to repay this, but if you would accept information I can provide some of that?" (assuming affirmative in the spoiler)
"Agdon Longscarf is the leader of the harengon brigands. He wears a bright blue scarf and moves as fast as lightning. Jingle Jangle didn't get attacked by him as he rarely leaves Brigands’ Tollway, which is a series of old wooden catwalks that circle a giant tree stump. The brigands camp atop the stump because it gives them the advantage of high ground. Also, the best guide in Hither is a pincer-clawed scarecrow named Clapperclaw. It hangs around Downfall and rumours have it that it knows the way through the mist to the realm of Thither, which is ruled by a hag named Granny Nightshade"
"Oh, we never thought that we might get freed. We just assumed this was our existence now. While it might not do much for us, it would certainly bring me joy if you could at least make that hag pay. It was her magic that corrupted the well which led to our deaths." "And me" "Me too"

Moneo nods, and then looks back at Derek et. al and waves before continuing towards the hill where the keeper of the keys is said to be.
