Moneo chuckles and says, "You are correct. Which is why I said you appeared to be a stone, but clearly stones do not speak. Again, I apologize for stepping on you. Would you know another way to cross this stream?"((persuasion 16))
"Seeing as you have shown you do have manners, you and your friends may cross over me. The alternative is to swim but there are some hungry things in this lake that might try and eat you."You finish crossing and come across a building. This wooden structure stands on stilts above the lake. It is topped by a steep, conical roof made of thatch. Smoke curls up from a hole at its apex. Its windows are blacked out, and the air carries the smell of burned wood. A clothesline attached to one corner of the building’s exterior is hung with a variety of frayed, patchwork garments.
You head inside and the room is a charred mess. Hazy smoke hangs over scattered piles of burned and broken shelves intermixed with whatever those shelves contained. Wisps of smoke snake into the air from several spots where smouldering wreckage threatens to ignite.
A distressed bullywug in a leather smock scurries around the room with a bucket of water whose contents spill out over the sides in his haste. He yells in Sylvan “Grab a bucket! We have to make sure the fires are out!”
Moneo thanks the galeb duhr and carefully steps over them to the other side. Arriving he looks around in surprise and, to his companions says, "Quick! See if you can help!" He then pulls out his feather pen, and starts pointing it and flicking away small fires with it.
As they cross, Barreknar keeps apologizing with every step he takes. "Sorry. Sorry, Pardon me. So sorry..."
Walking in, seeing the sceen unfold, not understanding what was being said. "Interesting decor choices..." finally catching on to Moneo's prompting, he starts looking for a bucket and water.
With a quiet "Thanks," as she steps over the living stone, Eliaanore is the last to cross. Seeing the pandemonium before her and copying the intent of her allies, she hurriedly pulls her waterskin and the blanket from her bedroll, soaking it profusely before tossing it over the nearest pile with the intent to smother any sparks or embers!
There is a table with three buckets, two of which have water. You all start putting out fires, and it is working (including the prestigitation), however more fires are popping up as fast as you are putting them out. Still in Sylvan "Two Bullywugs set fire to here using some of Bavlorna's animated coals. We have to stop the coals if we wish to stop the fire." and you can see that just as he said, there are 6 tiny coals jumping around, setting things on fire as they go. It is technically a combat, as they have an AC and HP, but in the interest of time, I will do this a bit differently as they aren't actively attacking you (though do have an attack, but it is mostly being used to set things on fire). Could you please post what your characters will be doing with regard to the coals, either as one turn combo that you would repeat, or a set of things. I will then resolve it all, and let you know the outcome (pausing it if anything drastically changes, like someone getting injured to allow you to edit your approach)

If there are any large swaths of balloon fabric lying around, Moneo grabs one and dashes over towards the water where the others had been filling their buckets. Soaking the fabric in water he runs back inside and attempts to use the wet fabric almost like a blanket to toss over one (or more if they are next to each other) and smother it.
Straight d20: 12 + 0 if this is a str attack roll; +3 if it’s a dex roll; + ? If it’s something else
Barreknar will attempt to corral the coals using the inside of his shield to try and cup them into a bucket of water, he set down his weapon to use both hands for bucket and shield.
Eliaanore re-wets her own blanket. While the others handle the coals, she'll continue smothering the burning furniture. Someone has to, right? Surely the ol' croak isn't trying to do it all on his own.
Besides, there's nothing she can do that her allies aren't, already.

Luckily for your roll, I am not taking that for the whole time. You are able to get wet fabric over them, and it definitely slows them down. It also doesn't burn through being wet, allowing you to also stomp on it to help put it out faster. 1 coal extinguished.

This seems very effective. Once you get a coal in the bucket, it does quickly go out. The challenge is catching them. Together with Fa'ameyou remove a further 2.
Talking of Fa'ameyour spell slows them down, but only for a short while as the vines to start to burn and they get free. It did hold them still long enough for the 2 above to be caught.

With the reduced numbers of coals (now down to just 3), you are able to start actually making an improvement. The fires are now being extinguished faster than they are being lit.
Unless anyone says otherwise, I will assume you do the same again (this will take another spell slot from Fa'ameif so, as the first spell is no longer restraining any. And the difficult terrain is affecting them as much as you so no positive effect from it)
After he and his companions catch the naughty little dancing coals, Moneo joins Eli putting out the last few flames with prestidigitation. Once they're all out he wipes the sweat from his brow and steps outside to cool down a bit and breathe some fresh air. He then goes back in and looks to the locals to say, "Where the hell did those little things come from? Looks like you all are having quite a few balloon related problems..."
(If the technic seemed to be working, Barreknar woukd continue doing it.)
After the sources of the flames were delt with (if they are all delt with) Barreknar will go back to trying to finish smothering the flames and embers still burning. Once completed Barreknar wod go to pick up his discarded shield, burning his arm not realizing the metal of the shield wod still be hot after coddling embers
Cursing in orchish and throwing down the shield he put his forearm on some water spilled on the floor to try and cool it off.
Seeing how easily the coals burned through her Entangle spell, Fa'ame switches tactics, casting a Chill Touch cantrip on the remaining coal, hoping some necrotic damage might help snuff it out.

It takes a bit longer via chill touch, but between you all, you extinguish the coals and the fires, in just over a minute from arriving. The bullywug thanks you all and gives a brass brooch shaped like a fly, with wings that flutter. He turns to Moneo as the one asking questions "Thank you your majesty. Wear this when you present yourself to the king, it will help win his trust. The coals came from Bavlorna's cauldron, they heat there normally. Two rogue bullywugs brought them here to cause a distraction while they stole a balloon to try and escape with a prisoner. We caught one of them and she is now a prisoner herself, but the other one and the prisoner escaped in the balloon."
Barreknar blows at the burn on his arm, he grumbles under his breath but loud enough to hear, "I'd like to meet this rogue prisoner, give her my thoughts on the matter." Sounding gruff and upset wasn't to hard for him nursing the burn where his shield sits on his arm.
Eliaanore scowls as she wrings her poor blanket out.
Wet, dirty, covered in coal dust -- it better not be cold tonight! Her thoughts ring electric with vitriol as she contends having to sleep without a blanket tonight.
Whatever the old croak is saying, she's not really listening.

Fa'ame will also grab a bucket, as instructed, while asking in Sylvan, "What has happened here? What is this fire?"

OOC: What a smart way to resolve what could otherwise be a long, drawn out combat. Love it.
Fa'ame would attempt to hold the animated coals in place long enough to snuff them out by casting Entangle.

1 fire damage top Barreknar.
Just waiting for confirmation from Fa'ame especially as it will take a spell slot.
