After taking some time to rest from the journey, you go to see Lady Elora and Sir Barnabas. You find the two of them in a little study busily writing letters to any captain whom either of them know that might be willing and able to undertake the mission. When you arrive at the open door, you are greeted with friendly, if tired, smiles.
"Please, come in," the lady says. "Sir Barnabas and I have just about finished sending messengers to the most brave and honorable captains that either of us know. We should have answers within a day or two. Now, how may we help you good people?"
Hewelathan: As you make your way towards the docks, you catch sight of a noticeboard. There are several jobs listed, but your eyes are quickly drawn to three wanted posters...

"Sir Barnabas, Lady Elora, we are grateful that you are taking so many inconveniences to help us find a ship, and I wouldn't thank you enough for allowing us to stay here.. never been in a state so fancy and elegant... " suddenly Flnn touches his nose, that it seens to be growing "...as a guest... "his nose regain its previous size and he sighs. "You see... we are afraid that we wouldn't be able to pay for the boat you are helping us acquire and... well, we were wondering if you would know of some honest job that we could do that help us raise the money to pay to the captain you are helping us to find... "
Hewelathan: As you make your way towards the docks, you catch sight of a noticeboard. There are several jobs listed, but your eyes are quickly drawn to three wanted posters...
Hewelathan studies the posters and tries to remember the key details. He doesn't know how long it would take to find one of these criminals, but with his friends' abilities, he believes that they could capture one of them. He hurries back to Lady Elora's mansion. Once he arrives, he asks one of the servants for pen and paper so that he can commit some of the details from the posters to paper before he forgets them. Then he looks for his companions to see what they have learned.
The elven woman doesn't immediately have any ideas, but Sir Barnabas remembers something.
"Milady, didn't your uncle say that he was looking to hire some adventurers?" the gentleman asks. "Something about retrieving a specimen for his magical experiments...?"
Lady Elora thinks for a moment, then nods.
"I do recall he said something about that... I don't know if that is the kind of job that you're looking for, and I'm not sure what kind of compensation he might offer, but if you want to talk to him he's a professor at the local mageacademy."
Hewelathan: You arrive back at the mansion after only an hour or so in town. When you ask a servant for writing utensils and paper she hurries to retrieve them for you, and you are able to set to work immediately. You don't see any of your travelling companions when you arrive, but if you ask a servant for information on their whereabouts you will be pointed to Lady Elora's study.

- We can certainly pay your uncle a visit and find out! If we are able to help him then it will a way to show our gratitude for how greatly you've treated us- Rhaenys replies to Barnabas and Elora with a smile. Then turning to Korba and Flynn he adds - We should tell the others, yes?
Tytus was the one to propose getting some side job for the time being, however he somehow did not get included in searching for it. Not that he did not wanted to, but fire sometimes hypnotizes him. He must have phased out sitting in lounge looking at the fireplace. Maybe he even got invisible unconsciously and no one could find him. He can not remember whether he was visible or not, and how much time has passed. And even thou he could stay like that forever, he sometimes have a thought whether he should. Is it ok? He feels like he can read the flame, listen to it, learn from it. But it was not the case before incident and that is what bugs him. Is that power will be his salvation, or damnation.
- Enough for now. - he says to himself - I need to find the others.
Tytus goes to find and rejoin with others. When learned what opportunities lies before them, Tytus would be in approve to further explore their relation with the lady and try to help her uncle.

"Yeah for sure... thanks!..."says Flinn standing and getting ready to leave, but he stops mid motion, mutters something like "oh yeah yeah sorry..."turns again towards them and adds "Mylord, Mylady" as he bows in respect to them.
As they walk out he says "I do not know... this kind of work seems to me like taking the lambs to the slaughter house... but worse..."
"Hmmm, lamb?? But you shouldn't be a lamb, my dear. Why not something fiercer?", the staff says in the changeling's mind as it turns him into a female leonin, fierce looking and golden furred.
"There! Better."
- Oh, for gods' sake!!- the sorceress replies, exasperated.
Later, when they meet Hewelathan, Tytus and Jodie they relay what they have spoken with Elora and Barnabas:
- What do you think? We can go pay Elora's uncle a visit and decide if the job is worth it.
Jodie joins the group a little tipsy from some travels around the local taverns, "Sorry, I was building a bit of a fan base here in town. When you make people smile, they can't help but offer to buy you a drink."
Making use of this background feature while in town, singing in the local taverns.
Feature: By Popular Demand
You can always find a place to perform, usually in an inn or tavern but possibly with a circus, at a theater, or even in a noble’s court. At such a place, you receive free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as you perform each night. In addition, your performance makes you something of a local figure. When strangers recognize you in a town where you have performed, they typically take a liking to you.
Jodie butts in when she hears some of the job options, "Hunting down murderers and thugs? Sounds like dangerous business, if not lucrative. I'm more inclined help the wizard. Though, when I hear 'specimen', I'm afraid that means killing a nasty beastie." Jodie sighs, "I guess we need to earn coin somehow. I suppose I could charm the fugitives and avoid bloodshed. I could ask around the taverns to see if I can rustle up any leads..."
"I would rather try to stop the monster that really preys in the common folk and innocent than a beast... " says Flinn " Heard about some guys like the ones they are searching for... lived terrifed by that kind of fellas. In my... previous life I happened to cross one or two and never did anything to stop them.. nothing meaninful I mean, perhaps now I could" he says looking to the sword that lays next to him. "But I will go with you whenever you choose guys.." he says to the rest of the party.
- I'm really curious about what that creature might be. Hope curiosity doesn't kill the ... erm ... lion? - Rhaenys says, taking a look at her new shape. Leonin was definitely a first for her.
Hewelathan joins the others (in case it wasn't clear) with the information he could remember from the Wanted posters. It hadn't even occurred to him to ask Lady Elora for a job while they wait. He agrees with Flinn that he wouldn't want to capture a wild animal just to hand it over for a mage's experiments. On the other hand, Hewelathan says that he has a duty to rid the wilderness of certain unnatural creatures: alien aberrations, deadly oozes, and other monstrosities. if that's what the mage wants, Hewelathan is happy to help since it accomplishes two goals at once.
Other than that, Hewelathan does not express any strong preference for their choice of jobs except for one somewhat eccentric suggestion: "I don't think that we should stay in Tormere the whole time we're waiting for a ship," Hewlathan says. "If one of these errands will take us out of the city for a couple of days, either by boat or on foot, I'd vote for that one."
It takes Hewelathan a moment to adjust to the sight of a leonin. "Everything all right, Rhaenys?", he asks just to make sure. The leonin is wearing her clothes and carrying her staff, but he wonders how long it would take them to figure it out if Firion ever captured Rhaenys and replaced her with one of his agents.
Rhaenys, who was in the middle of checking out her new form's features, turns to Hewelathan:
- Mmm, yes? I mean, not a fan of the continuous shapeshifting and all the "who the hell are you" look in everyone's eyes whenever I turn into something new but - she shrugs - nothing out of the ordinary, really. I'm just eager to reach Akkron and make some progress in our quest. Same as you all, I'm sure.
She smiles and stops for a second, realizing that she doesn't recall seeing anything in the druid that looked like a curse, so she asks:
- By the way, what's your curse exactly, Hewelathan? I don't think I've seen anything wrong happen around you? Your belt simply looks super useful as it is.
- Ok then, I think we should to head to that academy and meet your uncle Lady Elora. What is his name, and where is that place? We should meet him and learn about details of his request.
For some reason Tytus is excited to go out again. He felt a little unsure after encounter in the temple. But witnessing the excellence and power of the flaming rain that Rhaenys dropped on bandits arouse something in him, and he craves for more situations like this.

The lady tells you that her uncle is named Theodemar Hercan. (Since the consensus seems to be that you're going to go see him, I'll just cut to that and say you're all there).
The university is about an hour and a half's walk from Lady Elora's mansion. The lady uses sending stones to inform him that you are coming. As such, a student greets you at the front gate and escorts you to Theodemar's office.
"Welcome!" the elf says with a smile. "My niece has told me that you would be coming my way. She told me that you were in need of a job... well, I certainly have a job for a bunch of brave adventurers like yourselves, if you're interested. And I can certainly afford to make it worth your time."
Jodie bows politely to the elf, "Hello, I'm Jodesylvin. Thanks for seeing us. We're hoping to gather enough coin for ship's passage. So this job, what does it entail exactly? There was mention of a specimen..."
Jodie looks around the office curiously, interested in what kind of experiments the wizard may perform.
"My! What a family of beauties!", Rhaenys thinks at the sight of Elora's uncle. She listens with interest to what the wizard has to say, but her eyes wander from the handsome elf to the office, same as Jodie, finding herself interested in all the arcane books, components, scrolls and magical curios that might be around. Alas! If she was as studious as this Theodemar seemed to be. But the sorceress was too used to rely on her innate abilities to find too much use to all that arcane knowledge.
So, what would the party like to do next? Will you ask Lady Elora for a task, or would you prefer to go into the city to seek work?
