(OOC: @Aggie - Did Avery spend HD on healing during the Short Rest and eat some Goodberries to heal? Or was he really still at just 13 HP after the rest like his sheet currently shows?
Also, I think Avery has time to attune to the necklace during the Short Rest, which should help him resist the poisoned.)

I forgot the goose berries, and yes, he will attune to the necklace
These heroes clearly had spent a lot more time in the dungeon, looking at their hair growth. Although I imagine a few of you are slightly unkempt at the moment
(OOC: LOL. 😆 The hair reminds me of old 1970s "hair metal" bands or some old Conan art (pre-Arnold). And that makes sense given the other art I see from Timothy Truman.
You're right. The party arrived in Orlane 7 days ago. The first two days in town had very little down time, and we've been in the wilderness ever since. I guess Xanrym is no longer clean-shaven, but he's probably one of those annoying guys whose facial hair comes in evenly and just makes him look rugged without being too wild or unkempt. After so much time trekking through the swamp and fighting smelly troglodytes, Xanrym's going to want to spend some of his gold on a bath, a shave, and a whole new outfit so that he can just burn his old clothes!)

Liarin is looking particularly hirsute right now.
Feeling the effects of the poison, Liarin attempts to retaliate against the troglodyte.

Xanrym: Round 1
Since it seems Avery is probably fully healed after the last rest, Xanrym just focuses on winnowing down the troglodytes. He fires his crossbow. If Avery's troglodyte is still on its feet, he targets that one. If not, he targets one of the troglodytes that's throwing darts at the party and encourages Toska and Theldrin to target the same one. After he fires his crossbow, he tries to move back into the harpy room. He knows that his crossbow has much better range than the troglodytes' darts.
Movement: Xanrym backs up 20' behind Avery and Liarin, hoping to put some distance between him and the dart throwing troglodtyes. Action: Attack (as noted above), Crossbow, Light (80/320): 19, Damage: 6 (piercing) Free Action: Talking
Both of the Troglodyte's in melee fall. The two Trog's who were throwing darts look at each other and hiss (Can't remember if Xanrym has Comprehend Languages up or not.) They then use the Dash action to run back into the room they came from.
Will you be following these Trogs or letting them flee?
(Can't remember if Xanrym has Comprehend Languages up or not.)
(Well, yes, my intent was for Xanrym to ritual cast Comprehend Languages at the end of every rest, especially ones where he doesn't really need the rest. That way, he has the spell at least the first part of our next stage. On the other hand, I forgot to say anything about it this time. So...up to you whether that means that Xanrym also forgot. 🙂)
Xanrym says, "Liarin, Avery, can you stop them from getting away? We don't want to fall into a trap, but we don't want them to warn anyone on the lower level."
(OOC: If @drumdigby rules that Xanrym did not forget about his usual ritual casting of Comprehend Languages and he heard what the troglodytes said, he'll share what he heard. That might also influence whether he recommends giving chase, for example, if the troglodytes said anything about a trap or reinforcements. But Xanrym's first instinct is to stop the troglodytes from getting away. So far, the party has prevented cultists from escaping and warning others of their presence. He's sure that the cultists on the lower level will figure out that someone has invaded their lair, but if the party continues to prevent any guards from getting away, the cultists who remain won't know who has invaded the lair or how many. That will hopefully make it harder for them and the naga to prepare to face the party.)
Xanrym translates what the Trogs said before moving away, "There pushing into Mother's lair, these must be the people we were told about. Let's fall back, we'll tell Garath he can decide what to do."
If you use your regular movement after the Troglodytes, you come into a hallway leading north that quickly turns back around to the west again. At the top of this hallway you see into the next room, which is a simple 30ft by 30ft chamber. The Troglodytes are at the south end of the chamber at the top of a flight of stairs, you could potentially all take a shot at them at range if you wish, or follow them down the stairs with a Dash action. Additionally, there is also an exit to the western part of this room that leads to what seems like a rough Troglodyte warren. Similar to the sleeping arrangements you've seen the creatures use before.

Xanrym realizes that the cult seems well aware of who the invaders actually are. And this is the second time that he's heard the name Garath. It sounds like he is the leader of the cult and possibly the fourth member of the Naga's Teeth, the one who summoned the spirit into the naga.

Xanrym sees the troglodytes at the top of the stairs and realizes that he probably won't be able to stop them from going down.
If they haven't started down the stairs yet, he shouts, "Halt!", and then casts a spell. Suddenly, just at the top of the stairs, blocking the troglodytes' way, a series of sharp blades on sticks appear as though summoned by Xanrym.
Action: Cast a spell Minor Illusion of a 5' x 5' "wall" of blades, blocking the stairs. Movement: If the troglodytes move through the illusion, then Xanrym will move to the top of the stairs to try to take a shot at them with his crossbow. If the illusion stops the troglodytes from going down the stairs, then Xanrym will remain near the north side of the room so that he can use his crossbow next round. Free Action: Talking
(OOC: If I misunderstood and the troglodytes have already started down the stairs, let me know, and I'll adjust.)
The Firebolt hits, Avery would not be able to catch the Trogs and attack in the same turn. He Dashes forward and get's into melee with them, potentially scoring an Opportunity Attack if they continue to run.
Can Xanrym please roll a Deception check against the Trog's passive Insight of DC 11 to see if they fall for the illusion.
Liarin is also still up, you could choose to Dash and catch the Trogs like Avery or hang back and make a ranged attack.

Xanrym: Round 4?
Xanrym is satisfied that his little illusion tricked the troglotyes and kept them from slipping away to the lower level. Of course, now the creatures think that they're backed into a corner and fighting desperately. They need to kill these two quickly before they can summon reinforcements from anywhere else. Xanrym raises his crossbow to fire at Troglodyte #3.
Movement: If he can do so without danger of getting into the melee, Xanrym will move forward so that he can see through the exit to the west into the Troglodytes' warren. He just wants to make sure that there aren't move of them in there. Action: Attack Trog 3, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 18, Damage: 8 (piercing) Free Action: Reloading his crossbow.

Theldrin's normally well kept beard is definitely in need of a trim. He frowns as he aims another Fire Bolt at the nearest Trog.

Theldrin seems interested, or at least willing, to give chase as he moves towards the door the Trogs used to escape.
