Aubreen lowers his hand to the hilt of his Long sword, creeping forward a step or two, never taking his eyes off the beast before them. "Perrin?" He asks quietly.
Not yet showing aggresion, Aubreen readies himself to charge forward, sword leading the way. If the Moose charges he will get between Perrin and the charge.
Perrin gulps when he sees the moose emerge, and he looks with horror evident in his expression at the blood coating the pale beast. "Uh, hey, um, Mr. White Elk!" he says shakily. "It's great to finally meet you!"
Putting on a brave face (and hopefully sounding just as brave), he puffs out his chest and continues "I've heard a lot about your heroic campaign against the woodcutters, and I really admire your work. I mean we- my friends and I! We really admire what you and Ravisin have been doing. In fact, we were so impressed that we decided to come and congratulate you guys personally. Y'all have served Auril well. Praise the Winter Queen and all that, haha..." He chuckles nervously, his rambling trailing off. Despite his supposed bravado, he had slowly been edging back the entire conversation back towards the others. He gives the beast what he hopes is a convincing smile, though it was hard to smile when you had a beak instead of a mouth. ByTymora's Holy Armpits, were they really about to get pounded into bloody pulp by a moose?
((Normally, I'd roll a Deception check, but I think it makes more sense from a narrative standpoint that he's obviously too nervous to be considered seriously. As such, he'll be taking the Dodge action in preparation of being gored))
Sirius raises his shield and points his spear forward staring right at the moose for any signs of aggression. "Perrin, step back slowly." Sirius advises calmly, repeating what his parents told him to do in a wildlife encounter.
"Perrin, you are doing great, just keep talking you got this bud, we aren't here for a fight just to talk". well hopefully he believes us and the poor birdie doesn't get squished.
The moose steps forward as you draw back from the hole. It shows now indication of having paid attention to what Perrin said to it. There is a very quiet "But the bird sounded nice" from the fox, but all the smaller animals have withdrawn as far as possible into the corners of the "burrow".
"YYyyyooOOuuuu..." the moose trumpets. The words are twisted and distorted through the mouth used to speak them, but recognizably in common.

As the moose charges at him, Perrin freezes in place in terror. Was he really about to die? Again? No, he wasn't going to die here. He was tired of people pushing him around. It was time to make a stand for himself.
With a growl of his own, Perrin holds his ground before the charging moose, and at the last possible second before impact, he leaps forward. As he does, he transforms in a blink of an eye into a terrifyingly large wolf roughly the size of the moose. His pelt is a stormy grey color speckled with white, and he tries his darndest to rip into the moose with his fangs, a savage anger burning within him. He would not be pushed around anymore!

Ready for the charge, Aubreen slides in front of Perrin, shield high intent on meeting the charge. Malar forfend, whahere... the thought trails as a mass of fur and claws fly past him. Ducking to the flank of the white beast his sword draws a line across its ribs. Switching angles the blade comes back slashing at the legs of the tall creature.
The large animal charges straight into your prepared counter-offense. It collides with a dire wolf of nearly equal size that bursts forth to meet its charge. As it wrangles with Perrin, a devastating strike from Sirius. The radiance of heavenly flames briefly illuminates the room, leaving behind a serious wound. Aubreen, not to be outdone, connects twice in quick succession. The moose roars in pain. In its eyes, the brief glimpse into its future, projected artfully by Zenos.
Blood flows freely from the lacerations and punctures, soaking the fur even more. It's eyes leak a substance like tears or pus, foam froths from its mouth. In a desperate, violent motion, it rakes its giant antlers through Perrin and Aubreen.

Sirius is very startled by the power behind his thrust and the transformation of Perrin. Where did that power come from and how did the bird turn into a wolf. He quickly recovers from the surprise and yells out Let's pin it to the ground so that Perrin can question it!" Sirius then strikes at the front legs of the beast trying to make it fall.
To hit: 17, damage 6 piercing (non-lethal) To hit: 20, damage 4 bludgeoning (non-lethal)
The two strikes from Sirius are all that was needed. The mooses roar trails off into a gurgle and it collapses into the dust of the chamber, nearly knocking over one of the elven statues. It is unconscious. The animals in the corners are squeaking fearfully. Perrin hears "it killed moose!" "scary man things!" "Ravisin help!"
As you entered the chamber proper, you are able to see it completely. Corridors branch off from this main room, two going down flights of stairs and ending at two doors, both of which are engraved with a white semicircle.
The third ends in a dead-end, occupied by an oval mirror seven feet tall and half as wide, encircled by a decorative stone frame.
There is also a path to the door you were able to see on your initial approach towards the tomb. Seems like it can be unlocked from this side.
Twisting the metal button tab on his backpack, Aubreen retrieves his Hempen rope. With less than expert skill (Survival: 13) but hopefully sufficiently, he hog ties the white monstrosity. Pulling open his thick jacket he inspects the snapped rings of his mail, barely held enough to stop that near fatal gore. "I could use a few minutes to take care of this wound if your ok with it, (Short rest?), but dont let that stop you from looking around. I will be ready if needed."
Aubreen squats upon the back pack using it as a soft stool. Collecting a bandage from the kit he reaches inside his Hauberk pressing against the puncture from the antlers. "Those doors, the half circles, outside on the moon clock are inscriptions at the Half moons : Unlock the tombs of the half moon- What do you think that means?" Taking a swig of water and the last of a handful of nuts, "The full moon had an inscription as well -Gaze upon your own face and have seven questions answered- There is a mirror down that hall."
Sirius flashes a smile for the small animals trying to show that there's no hostility anymore and then inspects the point of his spear before putting it away. Nope, nothing that would cause a giant divine power surge, it must've come from me instead.
At the suggestion of Aubreen for a bit of a rest Sirius quickly answers, "There's no rush I don't think." already in the next thought. "I can look out so the moose doesn't escape" He mumbles clearly thinking about something else. He takes out the crystal he took from Sephek and dives in to learn about its magical powers.
With most of his attention fixed on the crystal he asks Zenos, "How'd you start to do magic? Where did it come from and how did you learn to control it?"
Zenos "I honestly don't know how it started, I am a simple traveling merchant working on my great works making money the only ways that I know how. I also managed to do a fair bit of reading and one day it happened. At first I didn't even realize what was happening and then I picked up another book and learned something else. Sometimes I would come across another traveler who would tell me a great tale from their land and in doing so would impart some knowledge to me and then I would be able to preform something else. But honestly I never know where it comes from until much after when something just clicks in my mind and I am able to do something new."
"Do you really think if we look in the mirror it will answer 7 questions? If so then we should probable talk about seven questions we would like to ask it"
Perrin backs away from the moose as it falls unconscious, licking his lupine jaws and savoring the taste of fresh blood in his mouth. That moose actually tasted a lot better than he would have expected, though maybe that was the wolf in him talking. Speaking of wolves, how on earth did become one? Craning his head over his shoulder, he tries to look at the rest of himself. Yep, he was a wolf, tail included. What did that druid do to him? Did they make him into a druid or something? He wasn't aware coming back from the dead would have changed him this much. Not that he was complaining or anything; turning into animals and having magic was pretty neat.
While the others tie up the moose and talk about what to do next, Perrin realizes that he can still talk to the animals crowded in the cave. He pads over to the whole in the wall that served as an entrance and then plops down on his haunches in front of it, a not-so-subtle hint that he didn't intend anyone getting out. Lookin back to the other animals, he growls out, "Um, sorry about that." Woah, he sounded scary as a wolf; his voice was much deeper and had ragged quality to it. "To be fair, the moose did attack first, and we just defended ourselves." Yawning and making a deliberate point to draw attention to his blood-soaked maw, he asks, "So, what can all of you tell us about Ravisin, this moose, and these caves?"
Aubreen watches the wolf, it could only be Perrin, but how. Replying to Zenos, "I have no idea even if the mirror has anything to do with it. I didn't understand the inscriptions outside but once I saw the mirror, well it was just a thought." Another swig of water, he glances into the neck of the waterskin, trying to judge its contents. "Hey Sirius I saw you touch Zenos earlier with healing hands, you could probably rouse this beast to wakefulness, no?"
Gathering the contents of his pack he stuffs everything in haphazardly with no attention to detail or organization. Strolling about the room, confident his companions have the entrance and foes under control. Kicking at the bones to see if he can tell the animal or humanoid they came from, I wonder if a skeletal hand is still a hand? . As he passes a statue he inspects it closer (Perception: 7) he yells to his companions, "Hey, do you think a stone hand from one of these statues would work in the gazebo".
As the thoughts pass through his tired brain, he contemplates upon the difficulty of the damnable secrets of elves. "How about just asking how to -Unlock the tombs of the half moon-?, or, or by the gods, how about we just bash down the cursed doors!"
The animals, clearly intimiated by the wolfs big teeth, stay in their corners, watching you with apprehension. Some of them answer Perrins question, talking over each other.
"Burrow was made by Ravisin and Moose!", "Ravisin is winter thing!", "Moose is stongest animal!", "Ravisin is angry!", "Ravisin is here!", "Caves are safe!", "Leave!"
Meanwhile, Aubreen sorts through some of the bones, but they are well chewed and taken apart. Some of the bigger human bones can be identified, a tightbone here, a skull there, but an entire hand is absent.
Sirius responds to Zenos. "Sounds like my experience too. I tried to learn magic in the academy but it never really stuck. What irony that it happens so easily when I simply will something strongly instead of having to memorize long rites or such."
Sirius is concentrating on the crystal half-listening to the conversation when he hears his name and Aubreen's suggestion. "Well I suppose I could do that", he mumbles his mind still preoccupied by the crystal. He walks over to the moose. With a tug, he checks that the knot is on tight and then lays his hand on the moose. With a quick prayer to Ilmater, he channels divine energy to wake up the moose. Sirius invites Perrin over to interrogate the moose with a friendly nod and remains ready on top of the moose ready to knock him back unconscious with the butt of his spear.
After ample time to think, Sirius shares his thoughts. "I think we should take every kind of hand we can thin of and try them out. That is if we want to complete the ritual. Currently we don't exactly know what it does do we."
((Sirius uses Lay on Hands on the moose for 1 hp.))
Looking towards the Perrin-Wolf Aubreen watches as it growls at the small animals, "Is he really talking to them?" He asks. "They seem more frightened than anything, with their frantic squeaks and chirps." Poking in the corners, "What do you think he's asking?".
Aubreen wanders to the statues, inspecting them closer, comparing facial features, their costume and attire, (Perception: 16). "I cant seem to think of any real questions for 'the seven questions', maybe we ask what happens to the hand in the gazebo, is it consumed or just a little burnt. I could handle a little burnt". Keeping his distance from the animals but still inspecting the walls and room, "Ok how about, who has been using this tomb, and where are they, oh I just thought of something, maybe a little to big but 'How do we end this eternal winter?"
