No it seemingly did not! So I will wait until I get to a place with actual wifi to go again on my laptop. Though I will gladly count those 6 numbers as one roll 🙏
*quickly looks up the difference between standard array, point buy, and rolling for stats* i will roll twice to see what i get and if i don't like it, i'll probably do point buy?

Haha, that's cool with me. (Also, wishing you a nice, safe flight if that's the direction you're headed! Ha.)
...that's...is that good...? oh man. i've technically made 3 dnd characters before but i always totally forget how it all works after i finish lol...
Just FYI, technically there's no option to just roll 2 stat blocks -- it's either 1, and then from there you can either decide to roll twice more or utilize point buy/standard array. But if you'd really like to do one of the latter instead of rolling again, let me know and we can figure that out!
And if you need some help working out character sheet stuff / assigning ability scores / etc., I'm happy to go through that with you.
The Kryn Dynasty rules the northern wastes of Xhorhas, and has only revealed itself to the wider world within the past century. Centered around--and under--the ruins of Ghor Dranas in Eastern Wynandir, the dynasty governs many townships and small villages where the Kryn have helped establish a modicum of civilized living among the nomadic wastefolk. They believe that beings not yet beyond redemption can be turned to the light of the Luxon, and often struggle with the unruly denizens of the wastes, hoping to gain converts to their cause and faith. Those that do accept the dynasty often do so because they seek protection from the dregs of the Calamity* that wander the wastes, as well as the scouts of the Dwendalian Empire.
could i perhaps know a bit more about the nomadic wastefolk? are they limited to certain races? and how do they view the kryn and their, im guessing, evangelistic overtures? also what does it mean, to establish a "modicum of civilized living"? how are we defining "civilized"? settled, as opposed to nomadic? should we think of the wastefolk as like...basically indigenous peoples sort of caught unwittingly between the empire and the dynasty?
That group of numbers with the 18 is really good. I'd keep that for sure. The others ways of generating stats are just safe options in case your rolls are poor - which yours are not!

Sure thing! So the nomads of Xhoras tend to be some of the typically monstrous races -- lots of goblinoids, gnolls, orcs, etc. I would say the Kryn defined "civilized living" as, yes, non-nomadic, settled, and would say they have gone to some lengths to establish peace between groups in the region, which they would call "civilized" (pay no attention to the war behind the curtain); I'm sure that the light of the Luxon their version of "civilized" also includes following the light of the Luxon.
In the history of Exandria, it was the so-called Betrayer Gods who ruled much of what is now the Wastes of Xhoras, and it was also the setting for the Calamity's final battle, which left the land absolutely in ruins; the Xhorhasians that remained in the aftermath were left to try to make a life out of a destroyed and difficult landscape, and often created small communities (often, but not always, nomadic) which struggled to survive and against each other, given how few resources remained in the region, and due to the nature of influences such as the curse of strife. The populations on either side -- by land and by sea -- made travel anywhere else impossible, keeping them hemmed into this land. I would say most of these peoples and communities are at such a distance from the Empire that they are probably very rarely touched by it; the impact of the Empire would mostly be felt in the Dynasty's response to it in times of war. But definitely the Kryn Dynasty (begun by dark elves who were once followers of Lolth, emerging from the Underdark) would have likely had plenty of impacts on a variety of the wastelanders, in their attempts to bring more and more people into the Dynasty. (Though other communities and towns certainly still exist outside it!)
Let me know if that doesn't quite answer your questions, though! Happy to discuss / answer further.
Hey, sorry, just a quick heads up to everyone: today ended up much busier than I expected (kind of, uh, forgot a couple deadlines), so I promise I will get to everyone's Heroic Chronicle notes tomorrow night to help develop things. In the meantime, if you have any specific questions you want to send my way, I'm here to answer!
Hey @tridentarii! 🙂 I was reading about Hupperdook trying to figure out what my character could be doing there since I’m thinking of having her live there for a little bit before the game starts, and now I have a couple of questions:
1 - Since Hupperdook is super industrialized and has people building lots of machines and stuff, I was wondering if they’d have lots of work accidents? And if they do, would they have an infirmary of some type where they send those injured people? Cause I was thinking of maybe having my character work in a place like that as a nursing assistant or something similar (with your permission, of course).
2 - And if it’s okay for her to have that kind of job, could I use some of the gold that comes with my Background to add a Healer's Kit to my starting equipment?

That’s it for now. : )
1. Having her live there in advance sounds perfect! I think it's totally conceivable to imagine the Hupperdook industrial workers have experienced their fair share of injuries (and, truthfully, they party hard enough that there are also probably injuries to be had there LOL), so I think it's completely reasonable to have her working at some sort of healer shop.
@Cacs, @Yello, @Vet: I've commented or sent back responses to you on your Heroic Chronicle results/thoughts! Most of these "comments" are simply a series of questions that may or may not be at all useful, and which you are welcome to discard at will, but were the kind of things that struck me most in terms of subjects to explore further in backstory, just in case. I'm happy to continue developing whatever you'd like, and answering any questions that arise!
@Ares I unfortunately did not manage to get to the one you sent over today because I am being tragically guided by my need to immediately go pass out now, but I plan to get to it ASAP!
I'm so incredibly excited to see exactly where all your characters land, gang!
I put in some stuff in my character sheet yesterday, I might not have time to go over things today but I’d love to talk background, relationships and other details when you have time!

Have people decided on a class yet? I think I saw cleric and barbarian but nothing else as of now? I know I'm still teetering between a few choices
I am still undecided, leaning towards wizard at the moment but still synthesizing my heroic chronicle rolls.

Pretty confident I'll use this array but going to do my third roll just for fun:
Ability scores: 16 7 12 9 13 14
I think I'm going for an artificer for class, and I was looking at a pallid elf for race, if that's alright?
Okay never rolled anything on these forums, so here goes nothing.
Ability scores: 11 13 12 3 16 8
Ability scores: 12 14 11 14 16 11
Ability scores: 11 14 11 10 14 16

2. Absolutely!
Totally alright on my end.
I'm playing a sorcerer!
