Krack looks at the compass, "Ohhh, I could put it around Beans neck and we will always know which direction we are going!" he says excitedly, "However that may not be the best use of it if others have thoughts."
He takes the skarf, and looks over at Beans, then back at Shayla, "Thank you!" he says, and wraps the skarf around his arm quickly to keep it safe. He whispers to Beans, "so many good things here! But not now, let's focus, stay close, we have undead to find!"
The hole isn't big enough to drop through. Regardless Shaylas ballbearing gives her a quick glance at half submerged barrels in the lower deck, she hears a slight sound of a splash, thereafter a soft light suffused a small patch of the water playing tricks with its flickering.
There are still 2 more cabins on the main deck to explore.
The party chooses not to take the compass reasoning that they can always come back for it.
As they left the captains cabin, Theodor slipped the compass into his pocket, He felt that it might be useful and couldn't shake the idea.
They walk across the main deck and push open the door to C6. It looks like crew quarters. Six double bunks line the edges of this cabin. Personal effects are strewn about the room, and a faded, painted portrait hangs on one wall. The portrait shows a young couple smiling and embracing. Written across the bottom of the portrait are the words 'Aleitha and Brastos together forever' The black haired woman wears a sailors uniform similar to the tatters worn by the zombies aboard the ship. The blond haired man wears a merchants fine clothes.
DM
Theodor picks up the dropped scimitar and uses it to neatly decapitate the two zombies, closely watched by Shayla.
The gleam of the compass fitted in the desk top catches your eyes, you may be able to trade it for passage on a ship or deal with a sailor.

IRL OOC I'm back again, things didn't go as planned but at least the cremation went off without a hitch.
DM
The compass glowed in the murk, it seemed to be magical in some way. Do you leave it behind or pocket it as something a sailor would value?
Theodor
Theodor cleans off the scimitar, he stows it on a loop on his belt, he may need it before long.
Theodor tries to justify taking the compass, maybe Runara or the Kobolds can use it? Or perhaps the rest of the party?
He carefully picks it up and offers it to the others, "This looks finely made, do any of you have use for this?"
// OOC: welcome back!
[Welcome back JudyMac!]
Krack
Krack looks at the compass, "Ohhh, I could put it around Beans neck and we will always know which direction we are going!" he says excitedly, "However that may not be the best use of it if others have thoughts."
OOC: Welcome back =)
Shayla bends town the retrieve the red scarf and hands it to Krack.
Then she casts Light on a ballbearing and drops it into the hole.
Anything interesting down there? Perception check 18

Theodor
"Let us continue," Theodor declares. He exits the room and makes his way to the North Eastern door, and carefully opens it.
Shayla
As always she gives her friend back up. Recasting Light on Theodore's shield.

[I think Theodore took the compass? correct me if I'm wrong.]
Krack will follow the rest, ready and excited.
//OOC: Can we say Theodor did pick up the compass? He'll probably give it to Runara if no one else finds use for it
