He told you to "begone" and you did not follow his instruction. The helmed man says, "Kill this interloper! This will teach the Master of Souls to not come and fetch me with her lackies."
(By the way, ATLAS, did not pass the helmed one's passive perception. Yes. He is very perceptive. But obviously, ATLAS, could try to Hide again in the first round.)
(Map updated! I moved ELIAS up to the last dry spot in the hallway. Also, ROSEBUD is on REYA'sshoulders and can see around the corner.)
“Well, thank you, kind tall person.” Rosebud has forgotten Reya’s name and is pleased not to be missing out of the fun. So up she clambers and settles in on the paladin’s shoulders for the 10’ journey around the corner. Upon completing the short trek and seeing the situation, Rosebud shake her head. “Well, fiddles and fiddlesticks. How am I supposed to help from up here? I’ll get nosebleed and just slow down a real fighter.” She uses her tiny fists to pound on Reya’s head. “Hey you - you should put me down somewhere so you can kill one of these baddies!” Initiative 11
At the twang of a bow string Elias perks up, Battle? Khessa! He starts looking for a way around those in front of him if they haven't already started to move.
As murky waters ripple around ATLAS, the Rogue lets loose an arrow that glances off the second BANE CULTIST’s armor.
KHESSA can hear the helmed man say, “I knew there was something wrong about this.”
He then yells out, “Phalanx!”
The first female BANE CULTIST takes a step down the stairs and attacks the interloping RAGGEDY MAN.
The second female BANE CULTIST attacks KHESSA as well.
The helmed man joins the fray and with two-hands attacks the interloper with a spear, his victim's blood still dripping from it. (The Helmed Man is currently not carrying a shield.)
REYA whispers back to ROSEBUD,“Little one, I can carry you. Stay with me. We can do this together."
(Everyone can take actions through ATLAS in Round Two.)
[[ OOC: Yes, it is a crit, but from what you write it seems like you assume that the crit damage is doubled... That's not exactly right. The crit damage dice are rolled twice and the fixed bonuses to damage are added only once. For example, if the 6 damage you got came from 1d6+2 where you rolled 4 (4 + 2 = 6), to get the crit damage it would be 2d6+2 - so to the damage you already rolled you simply add 1d6.
Regardless of the crit damage, Khessa is not that easy to take down... As I now write in the post, she has Shield at her disposal, a spell that can be cast as a Reaction, raising her AC. So the crit will hit (since a crit hits any AC) but the other hit will miss her, leaving her wounded, angry... but still able to fight. ]]
Khessa does her best to defend herself from the storm of attacks that hits her. A blow to the chest almost makes her pass out from the pain, but she grits her teeth and manages to mutter a quick formula as her fingers dance in an elegant pattern and a a magical and impenetrable barrier bounces the second blow of the mace that was about to hit her temple.
The leader's clumsy spear thrust is ruined by haste and the blonde arcane warrior avoids it without difficulty, mentally responding to his words: 'You still have no idea how much is wrong about this!'
The desperate situation and the sight of the poor prisoner's blood on the leader's spear reinvigorate the tall adventuress [[ OOC: She will use Second Wind as her Bonus Action, regaining some HP ]] , while she brandishes her own Greataxe and brings it down furiously in a slash to the collarbone of the cultist who has been most exposed [[ OOC: Cultist 1 ]]. Thus, even if the enemy survives, the other party members should easily arrive to finish her off!
[[ OOC: OK, really lame attack roll; of course she missed and Cultist 1 is still kicking. I hope the others will fare better. Waiting to know the whole crit damage to adjust Khessa HP. She took damage from that crit, then healed herself for 11 thanks to Second Wind. ]]
Rosebud knows she has few attack options while sitting atop Reya'sshoulders. Hell, she knows she has few attack options regardless of where she is sitting! "How dare you harm Khessa while she is killing you! Fine, wine, vine, stay." she starts chanting (or something along those lines since the acoustics of the dungeon make it tough to understand her) but soon enough, weeds and vines are crawling from the water and up from the floor where cultists are standing, soon engulfing them in a bunch of challenging plants.

REYA looks at ROSEBUD shakes her head and smiles. She then goes to the stairs and kneels down so ROSEBUD can ride on the Paladin's shoulders.

ATLAS has initiative over the cultist. So, go ahead with your Round One actions.
As Atlas realizes he has been spotted and they are not happy, he mutters, "Damn!" as he steps out [south 5ft] and will take a shot at target 2.
