Sizzle growls as the bolt of energy misses its mark. With another pull of the trigger, a second bolt of energy erupts from the weapon towards creature B
Esta steadies her nerves, the heat of the battle in full swing. Something about this place, the darkness, the smug closeness of the city sewers, heat clinging in your throat along with whatever else wafted your way; Esta felt right at home. The feeling is calming, soothing almost, allowing Esta to relax and take aim, which seems to be almost distracting as she fires upon creature A.
Attack to Hit A: 12 Damage: 7 Piercing and 8 sneak attack
With a startling reality, she is reminded she is in the midst of combat, and quickly moves along the outer room to hide back in the shadows.
Josbert takes a might swing at evil flapper B and knocks it down hard!
(Combat over!)
Josbert wipes off his weapon and then his brow. "Well that was...unexpected." He looks over at where Gertrube fell and shakes his head. "I had no idea such an unusual faction was still around. Let's hope we have no further delays on our way." He turns to leave the grisly caked scene and venture on.
Halila looks about, taking just a brief moment to see if there might be anything of interest around this group or this place. (Perception: 17) She doesn't really want to hang around here for long. "I agree Josbert, we really should be going. What are the odds we won't run into something though? Seems like there is weirdness at every turn!"
Assuming she doesn't see anything of interest, she would depart, following Josbert.

Perception 17
Sizzle lets out a sigh of relief and puts away his weapons. With blood still dripping down his face from the tip of his toes, he quickly looks over the are for anything of value before nodding to Josbert. "Yeah... Let's get out of here." He says after taking anything of interest.
Tyriel huffs as the last creature falls, looking down on the disgusting things with a mix of pity and anger. Shaking his head he slings his bow over his shoulder and then walks over to Joshbert. "Yes let's be on our way,"he pointedly does not look at the cultists again. In his mind, they don't exist anymore.
With a tiny sigh, she says, "Hold up just a moment." She goes over to where Gertrube fell and grabs the compass she saw. Once she does so, she says, "Alright," and continues on after Josbert. As they go, she glances at what she had grabbed.
Before you all head out of the area, Josbert sees Halila pick up the compass and gives her a knowing nod. "That looks like a Portal Compass. Could be handy in a city like Sigil, or anywhere in the Outlands. Also, before we go any further, you can call me Farrow. Josbert is just an alias I use from time to time. All right, this way."
The rest of the trip through Undersigil is thankfully, uneventful, other than the constant stench and uneasy shadows. Eventually though you return to the surface, in a part of the city that is much cleaner looking, upscale even. Polished buildings with pristine edifices stand imposing themselves over you as you gaze around at them. There are far fewer people here too although it is most certainly inhabited.
Looking up, you stand before the giant marquee of a casino that reads “Fortune’s Wheel” in a dazzling font. Fashionably dressed locals laugh, arm in arm, as they push through the casino’s polished gold revolving door to the gambling hall within.
Farrow lets out a satisfied sigh. “This is the place.”
Before we go on, congratulations everyone, you get to level up! ALL of your characters should get up to level 5 now! :) Hooray!
"A Portal Compass?" Halila asks. She tries to take a few glances at it, but she is far more interested in staying aware of their surroundings. And of course following Josbert - well, evidently Farrow actually. "Oh, so now your name is just changed? How long until you change it again?" she challenges, half serious, half joking.
When they reach the 'Fortune's Wheel' she takes a long look at the marquee and the way the people are dressed. "Not sure I brought the right clothes," she murmurs.
Putting her bow away and putting her hood down, Esta breathes a sigh of relief. She ponders the actions that have transpired here, how quickly things seemed to escalate. She turns to Josbert, well, Farrow. Interesting they choose now to reveal their true identity, or is it just another alias? and asks "Hey, you mentioned faction, as if this is common place. Are there many of these kinds of 'factions' in Sigil then?"
Before leaving to follow, Esta will attempt to recover her arrows, hopefully free from harm (OOC: Do I roll for this?).
After getting out of the sewers, and seeing what appears to be a luxurious casino, thoughts start pouring through endlessly with all the possibilities that lay within. A large grin spreads across her face - time to do what she does best. "Wait, if we are going in there... don't we appear to be dirty and stinking from the sewers? Perhaps we should find somewhere to cleanup? Or..." turning to Farrow for anything on the matter.
"Ravnica has many of different factions" Sizzle replies with a shrug. "I assume it is a similar situation here. "Some are friendly... and others... not so much." The goblin makes his way out of the sewers behind his companions. When they emerge in front of the casino, a large toothy smile spreads across his face. "ALIRGHT! This is my kind of place! I wonder if they have a buffet! Maybe free drinks even!" Sizzle grins as he claps his hands together. "Let's go!" he shouts before scampering towards the door... seemingly unconcerned with any stains or smells that may have followed him from the sewers...
"Wow that was the most pathetic fighting I've seen from you since you were six? Has your eyesight gone? Do you need glasses? Cause your depth perception seems waaaaaay off."The voice fakes a tone of concern.
Zakhar sighs, and sheaths his practically unused sword, and does not respond to the voice. Though a stray thought slips past.
"You see through my eyes. You already know the answer."
The voice laughs, but surprisingly doesn't respond.
He glances over at what Halila picked up. A portal compass? Perhaps it could lead them to a portal system that could take them home. Zakhar silently follows the others as Josbert...well Farrow... leads them to the casino. His visibly eye narrows as they draw closer. He's not fond of places like this, and with the fight they'd just had he's almost certain that someone in there will cause trouble.
"I'd advise not letting down our guard just for some food." He says tiredly. He raises an eyebrow at Esta, as she appears almost giddy at the thought of the place. He hadn't taken her as a gambler... He almost tries to stop Sizzle from rushing in, but his movement is interrupted.
"She's a thief idiot. How did you not catch on to that?" The voice says flatly.
Those words have a visible affect on Zakhar as his eye widens and his face reddens with embarrassment. Though he shakes it off, as the feeling is quickly replaced with irritation.
"Let's just... get this over with and meet whoever we are supposed to meet." He starts stalking after sizzle. "Maybe I'll have a better idea of what this place is like once we are inside." For all he knows, this could be the safest place around, but he's not about to hold his breath.
"A portal compass will point you back toward the last portal you came through, or it came through, to be exact. I have lots of names. They all serve a purpose." He says with a smile. "I will change it again if it is necessary to accomplish my patron's ends."
Perhaps we should find somewhere to cleanup? Or..." turning to Farrow for anything on the matter.
"Yes, there are many factions in Sigil, many that have been lost to time, many that are simply dormant. It is an everchanging landscape as some rise to power and others weaken, only for fortunes to change as the wheel spins."
(No, you can find your arrows just fine ^-^)
"Oh I wouldn't worry about that. I think you will find the accommodations most welcoming." Farrow gives Esta a knowing smile and nod. He watches Sizzle in their excitement and laughs dryly. "Your companion here certainly seems excited. Come let's hurry inside and get you situated."
The scene as you enter, is lively and colorful, alive and vibrant. A very snappily dressed tiefling bellhop hurries over to greet you as you enter, introducing themselves as Valek. "Fortune's favor to you, honored guests! Please accept this letter from your host." They hold out a small letter for you to read, and stand aside waiting expectantly.
"Honored guests,
Welcome! I’ve been expecting you. Don’t fret; you’re safe here. Our city’s so-called “peacekeepers” hold no sway in my establishment.
I’ve prepared accommodations for each of you upstairs. Valek will show you to your rooms. Rest, relax, and enjoy room service on me. When you’re ready for entertainment, a gift awaits you at the casino cage.
Tyriel goes utterly silent at the sight of the Casino, eyes slowly turning towards Josh---Farrow, a rather disapproving expression masking his face. Name changing, patrons, gambling... he runs a hand over his face when even some of his companions seem overly eager to go into this... sinners playground. Still, he can't exactly just turn heel and walk away. He's stuck in this world whether he likes it or not, and that means going into the darkest places if necessary. Oh God let his soul stay clean.
Stiffly he follows the rest of the group into the Casino, pointedly keeping his eyes on their guide rather than letting them wander. He also can't help but wonder--considering his current form--at the fact that no one seems to bat an eye at a "child" walking into a casino... Could this place be worse than he'd initially thought?
He snatches the letter before anyone else can, knowing that if he doesn't get it he might not be able to read over someone's shoulder (unless of course Sizzle takes it). Once he read it he hands it to whoever else wants to get a closer look. A gift at the casino cage, why does that not sound appealing to him?
Of course, instead of voicing all the negative thoughts running through his head, he stays quiet, the only hint at his apparent discomfort/disgust is his expression and stiff posture.
