Anyone have a character sheet where the max hit points will just drop to a much smaller number? Happened several times, have a higher level fighter that would drop from 100ish hp max to 50 or 40. Have a level 5 paladin who dropped from 50ish to 14 just now. Talking max hp, not current.
Depends on how the DM of the thread sets it up. most are casual, as in the DM sets the scene and once everyone has posted what they would like to do the DM will take that information to continue, in battle it's a little easier as you would just follow the initiative order. and the DM would just post when it's the enemy's turns.
Just check with the DM for each thread on how often they would like the players to post. some may say after 24hours they will skip a player and move on so as to keep the story moving along.

The way you find most games is to look for recently-active threads tagged as "recruiting" and either contact the DM or post a character idea for an application. Then the DM will take a look at the character applications, select the ones they want, and then start a new thread/campaign with those players. Then you post over a fairly long period of time, usually once a day is the ask. So a fight can sometimes take a few days. RP happens throughout.
Hello, Im kind of slow on this. I have the players to start my campaign. How exactly do I go about doing so? Do I close the recruitment thread? If I have to make a new thread how do I invite only the players that joined the campaign?
I looked at the "private" threads and I guess they're actually still technically open, as in anyone can post in them. I'm guessing you just start up a new thread and include that it's the actual campaign thread and have your players start posting. I'm going with that at least... for now xD
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Okay, I've been hammering away on the dice roller and maybe I'm just not getting it, but I was looking for essentially a 'DM screen' function to allow me to fudge my rolls without my players knowing they just got one-shotted by a goblin on the first turn of their first encounter but I said "That was a near miss." instead. I tried the dF code but it just showed up as 'rolling 1dF20' so it was clear it wasn't a true roll, so I guess my definition of 'fudging' is off? Or I still don't get how to use it to spoof true dice rolls.
Is there such a function or am I using the fudge dice wrong?

Hi! I was just wondering how these games are run? Are they at a certain time that you post or is it just kind of happening whenever?

Wondering the same thing Pepegaman - I think you have to open it up to public, wait for all your players to post, then close it / make it private.
