While the others started talking with the man, Garrick quietly steps back and around the wagon and then casts mage hand to try to secretly grab the keys off the man’s hip.
The idea of people, including children, being imprisoned and treated in such a manner for feeling a certain way, enrages Garrick. He will do whatever he can to help these people.
"Undead? We harbor no undead. As for them,... this is how they learn the pain of their despair. Besides, it's not my choice. It's the baron's. I'm sure he'll have me release them before the festival in three days." The keys are clipped onto his hip. It would require more dexterity to steal it than that of a mage hand.
Seeing the keys are fastened more securely than he originally thought, Garrick abandons the idea of stealing them. He decides to go for a different approach. Pulling the man off to the side so their conversation cannot be overheard Garrick says in a low whisper, “So we just met Z on our path here… we are obviously new to the area but I couldn’t help but notice that you recognize her. Is there something I should know about her so as to not upset the balance here? Meet me in the tavern later tonight and I’ll buy you an ale for your help.” Persuasion 21
'Three days? Hmph, more like tonight.' Kessintrathinks to herself, confident in her ability to pick the locks. She'll plan to release them under the cover of darkness and that will be that. In the meantime, she turns her attention to Z and Ireena as the man and Garrick step away to chat.
"Thank you again for the delivery. Is there anything we can do to repay you? How was the ride, Ireena?"
The man nods back to Garrick. "I'll tell you there."
Ireena cheerfully responds, "It was fun. I've never been in a wagon before. It was a bit bumpy, but that just made it funner." Z chuckles. "No need. She was a wonderful passenger, but I must be off now. Gotta deliver the letters." She lets Chipper out and starts to drive out of Villaki.
OOC - missed opportunity but just realized I could have cast detect magic in the wagon and used mage hand to steal anything that could’ve been magical in the mail 😂
Ismirk seems stumped. "Uh.... I didn't actually think this far ahead...." Ireena laughs. Ismirk shoots her a glare in response, to which she replies by sticking out her tongue.

The people's eyes dart to the building. "That..... That's the coffin maker's shop." When you try to open the door, you find it barred from within. A voice calls out, "Go away! Leave me alone!"

Kessintra's expression turns serious as she follows Zan towards what is apparently a coffin shop. They'll need to take care of this undead if the town is to stay safe. Giving a nod to Zan, she will proceed around the house to look for alternate entrances.
There is another entrance, but it's also blocked. There are however, several windows on both the first and second floor, all of which are not blocked or boarded up.

Good people, I know not the nature of the undead within this house so I ask you now to run to safety. Someone free those people from the stock's so they may also seek safety.
Garrick sighs and heads to the house too. Another boarded up house? Maybe this person and the crying woman in the previous town were related. Who boards themselves up inside a house?
He looks inside one of the first floor windows. Perception 5
Hearing a crash at the front door, Kessintra will try to go in through one of the first floor windows to join Zan and surprise whatever the creature is.

People start to run away as the door crashes to the ground, a few of them screaming. A dozen guards rush to the scene. Meanwhile, an elderly human man sits calmly sits at a desk. "Upstairs. The bedroom wardrobe and the wood storage."
"You might've just said that from the beginning," Kessintra remarks, coming out of stealth and letting Zan lead the way upstairs. She'll stay behind Zan and Garrick.

Kessintra is glad to see Ireena in high spirits. She will bid Z farewell and look to Ismirk and Zan.
"Now that we're reunited, is there somewhere specific you're planning to stay in town? And Zan, what was that about undead in the houses...?"
Ismirk seems stumped. "Uh.... I didn't actually think this far ahead...." Ireena laughs. Ismirk shoots her a glare in response, to which she replies by sticking out her tongue.

Zan whispers to Kessintra, undead in that house, nods in that direction. He then winks at Garrick.
Stepping to the front of the gathering crowd, good people, who's house is that? points to it and starts walking in that direction.
