I suggest we keep all the goodies including the map in the bag for now so Delilah will carry it until we reconvene at the map room at lunchtime or so :-)
Hm, it's your call really but according to the rules a tiny creature with 3 strength can carry 22,5 lbs and drag/lift/push 45 lbs, so based on that I guess Thistle could easily pull drawers and turn pages. On the other hand I didn't imgagine he was small enough to get through a lock on a door which is why he's waiting for someone, likely the curator to come to be able to fly out of there. To be clear, this isn't exactly the first time he does these things so he will be really careful about returning stuff as it was to not arouse suspicion with the curate that anyone has been there snooping around :-)
Oh, and just checking so that I understand and play this correctly. Delilah has no detect magic or anything like that going, which admittedly would have been quite useful, but she still feels the magic alarms then? Also would she now know all the things on the latest map, even the secret doors and passages, or was that map just to show the magical alarms? Also, was there a magical alarm on the curate office door then? Just want I understand all of this correctly before posting :-)
Working from the roleplay point of view wizards, warlocks and sorcerers have an innate ability to detect magic. Since you were looking for security issues you picked that up automatically. You just don't know what the alarm will do. If you would prefer I can make you roll a dice for it in the future rather than using your character sheet for passive knowledge.
The new map with information placards the Vs is seen just by passing along the exhibit. You still need to watch out for unknown security patrols and other magical wards.
The map shows the patches of magic that you believe to be an alarm. Sadly I only had two maps so am bringing into play the annotated one as you and Mavilius recce the Museum.
Ah, didn't know they had an innate ability to do that, thanks. And I can roll but prefer the way you handled it now. :-) Should I ignore the personal details on the guard rooster or is that something the curate actually has written down? Also, I don't want to break your adventure but I'm starting to realize just how suitable Thistle would be for bringing the egg out of the museum if the team can create a good diversion at the moment he picks it up. Thoughts?
Just a note for everyone, I use the passives on your character sheet and only ask you to roll if they are below that needed to continue. I find that makes a smoother roleplay experience. I hope that you all are ok with that.

That's great! I feel like passives aren't used for much usually.

Oberon99 exactly how small is Thistle? I envisage very small and able to fly through a lock on a door. Can he turn pages or pull out drawers?

The curator had written it down, you can use it. The guards on the gala require a dice roll, so we don't know who they are yet.
Thistle would have to deal with the traps, let's leave him for an emergency or if you can find no other way to get the stone. :)
Okay, sounds good, but what traps though, did I miss something?
The different cases have traps on their 'star' contents. You haven't seen inside the Gemstone wing yet.
Okay, thanks :-)

Where is Delilah at the moment, I have a job for Thistle!

Yes, use passives when you can, and I don't mind if you roll passive rolls like saves and initiatives to make things run even smoother. :-)
And Delilah is outside the museum, waiting (im)patiently for her escort ;-) Thistle is there too, ready for another mission.
That makes sense.
That works for me 👍
