The young blonde priestess´ eyes briefly meets those of the good hearted drow, giving him a weak but grateful smile. Crisaryn could quite possibly be affected by the hag's curse, but there could also be some past experiences that has affected her. She was of course right though, the the young boy's parents needed confronting at some point, Lorelei just didn't want to make judgements before the investigation was finished.
Do not worry, the Burgomeister will make sure that Lucian is taken care of. He'll also have a word with the family in the morning, so that he can formally take Lucian as an apprentice. I'd rather enjoy being a fly on the wall for that one. One can only hope that they have eaten too much pie, a self inflicted injury. Do we know what was in them? Some sort of hallucinogenic mushroom? Anyone know what meat? She winced at her own words and the implication that they were human meat.
I'm sorry that my arrival stopped you from getting his parents to open up.
So now, do you want me to break the hags link to you? It would only take a moment. You can sit or lie down, you'll only feel a slight headache then clarity. And if there is no curse then you'll feel nothing.
She gets Crisaryn to sit down, and steps behind her. She spreads her fingers over Crisaryns head then starts chanting.
Her fingers glow blue and the light moves to cover all of Crisaryns body. The glow makes her wince as though she had stepped into bright sunshine. The niggling headache got worse for a moment then turned into a sharp pain, then nothing. Crisaryn was surprised about the clarity. Now she could talk about Lucians parents without that all consuming anger, it was righteous anger instead. She felt subtly more like herself. Curse or not she felt better.
"The hag said it contained meat and mushrooms. Mushrooms grow in the Underdark that can affect the mind, they were sometimes used in ceremonies to Lloth. As for the meat, I should think it most unpleasant to even consider. What we do know is that the children here are not safe with a coven of hags operating so near. Does anyone know more that could help us to prepare before we move against them?"

Get Ireena and Ismark to safety in Vallaki before you tackle the hags. Rhianne said she was called back to Vallaki with the conspiracy, she may have some tips for you, she'll certainly help Ireena to stay away from Strahds gaze.
I have only ever tackled a lone Night Hag before, they can share their spells within the coven. As usual with fey cutting their heads off is the best way to kill them, the spell silence is also good, it stops them from escaping into the ethereal plane whilst giving you a chance to attack. The best time of day to attack them is in the daytime when half their spells don't work. They are vulnerable to Iron and therefore steel hurts them.
I'm not sure what more I can add. Perhaps ask me a direct question, I may know the answer.
"I was most concerned with their ability to plane walk. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I know the silence spell. I rather enjoy the irony of using sound to create silence," he replies to Betta. He pauses for a moment, a far away look in his eyes as the makings of a new song settle into his consciousness. He shakes his head softly, pulling focus back to the present.
Speaking to the party he continues. "I should like to prepare a few scrolls prior to confronting the hags. I believe that this will be a difficult battle, and preparation may be the factor that turns the tide in our favor."

I have some scrolls that would be of use to you, I'd been casting some in between my travels. They sell well to adventurers like yourselves. Here take this supply, she holds out one of her saddlebags to Lorelei. In case of need. Each scroll was in a protective case, Resurrection, Mass healing, Silence, invisibility and Hallow. If I have time tonight I'll add a scroll for Protection against Evil and Good in case you have a problem with the hags again.
Crisaryn lets out just a small sound as the sharp pain hits her. When it vanishes, she looks at Betta with surprise. "There was a curse." She feels silly to have not been aware of it. "You say it would have got worse at night? I must give you my deepest thanks." She stands rejoining the others. "I still think it might have been for the best had I just burned down that house with the idiots in their delusions from the pies. But perhaps we can just let the Burgomeister take care of dealing with them."
"You are very generous," he says with a graceful bow. "We are in your debt. These tools of light will help to drive back the darkness of this land."
"Perhaps we will find healing potions to purchase," he says to the party. "The Vistani seem quite knowledgeable about such things and eager to engage in trade, although more eager to engage in merriment from my experience!" he adds with a good natured laugh.

The young blonde priestess watches as Betta lifts the nighthags curse over Crisaryn and gives the sorceress a small relieved smile as she seems to calm down, slightly at least. She tries to recall what her mentor had taught her about hags and hag covens but she felt Betta probably had already covered the important parts. She accepts the scrolls from the saddlebag with a grateful smile, holding them out for the caompanions to share them between them. "Thank you Betta, this is quite powerful magic you share with us, I assure you we will use it wisely." She says to the limping priestess. She then nods in agreement with the drow and seems pleased that Crisaryn had decided not to burn down the village.
The blue warrior of faith was impressed with the display of protective magics. She was also grateful that such allies would provide such powerful tools. Being in an unfamiliar place but surrounded by righteous people warms her heart.

I suggest that we join in the festivities, tomorrow will come soon enough. Where will Lucian spend the night?
Elriq looked down at the boy. He's coming with me, he can share Terri's room for now. Let's get some food into him, and get people used to seeing him with me. I'll go and see his parents first thing in the morning, they should have recovered from the pies by then.
"Yes, to the festivities, perhaps I will even try my feet at dancing this evening."The young blonde priestess says with a bright smile as she looks around at the others, ready to forget about the evil of these lands for a few hours at least.
Hearing Lorelei's comment about dancing the bard's eyes went wide. His hand reached for his heart and he made a dramatic show feigning a heart attack, staggering this way and that before appearing to collapse in a heap on the ground. The ruse was up when he sprang into a tight tumble, pushing out with his legs as he tucked his head and turned the fall into a somersault. He popper to his feet, before Lucian, hands gently picking him up over his head. He looked up at the child, eyes sparkling with his own childlike joy, and said, "Did you hear that? Lorelei has been moved to join in the dancing. As if we needed more reason to celebrate!" He spun in a gentle circle, carefully placing the boy down before Elriq. With a playful tussle of the child's hair he risked a mischievous glance at the shy priestess.
When it was time to join the revelry he needed little convincing.

The young blonde priestess laughs warmly at Illmirth's amusing antics. "Oh dear, what have I done, I doubt you will find my dancing anything to celebrate." She says, shaking her head with a bright smile. "But if I am to dance I expect all of us to this evening."She adds, glancing over at Vaelar, Crisaryn and Alerya. "We could do with a little bonding before facing a whole coven of hags."
Giving Lorelei a sidelong glance, she grins a bit when Illmirth makes such a show of staggering with surprise at her agreement to try at dancing. She tries not to make eye contact with the cleric when she looks in her direction. She remains quiet on the subject of 'bonding' as the woman had put it.
Betta took hold of Lucians shoulder, lightly steering him out of the chapel and down to the tavern, the others followed behind. Come now let's partake of the Harvests bounty, you must be hungry she says.
Inside the tables had been moved to provide a buffet, plates of roast pork carved from the pig out in the stable yard. The Elders had their own table with their families.
Elriq introduced Lucian to Terri, a sturdy 19 year old journeyman blacksmith. Look after him Terri he's our apprentice.
Terri carefully looked at Lucian and nods solemnly, then pulls Lucian to sit down next to him on the bench. Let's wait for a pause in the dancing and then fill our plates.
The adventurers claim a table for themselves as they see Betta heading for the Elders trestle. As cleric here she had a voice on the Council.
Dancing was in full swing with a drummer and fiddle player, a rowdy circle dance in the yard. Illmirth smiled that the villagers could actually party in this grim world. He noticed the Ravens in the stable eaves, watching.
Sometimes the cook threw then crispy bits of rind. The smell was mouthwatering.
Seeing no need to wait, the jovial bard began what may have been the first congo line (as of yet unnamed in the realms). He waves the companions on and headed for the foof line. He pauses, letting a few people move before doing an impromptu three step little ditty. He then stopped, acting perfectly patient before glancing over his shoulder and doing it again, offering encouragement to those behind him to join in. The light hearted drow could find fun even while waiting in a line.
When he reached the line he took a full plate, oddly picking some of the fatties bits of meat. He cut the tender bits of pork carefully away, leaving a small pile of trimmings to share with the ravens outside. He chatted casually over their meal, keeping things light, not mentioning the trials they would face in the coming days.
When the meal had been consumed and their bellies were full he said, "Allright, who's ready to show these Barovians how we do it in in Faerun!"
