Vondal immediately holds up a finger to Karl in return, giving Karl a warning look in return. "If they haven't chosen to flee, we can expect greater resistance where gundren is being held."
"Listen lad where movin' in the right direction but I 'ate gettin' surprises so we're gunna do it careful like - got that" Karl growls back.
Vondal frowns, and in refusal for once to give ground replied, "I wasn't arguing against this direction, Uncle. Merely urging us to be quick on our feet about it. By now, they all know where here, if that little flanking maneuver did not make it so obvious... That's all. Save your vitriol for enemy."
(@Grant: To clarify, that last blurb regarding direction in my post, he seemed dismay, but hadn't voiced anything regarding it. And since Karl's in the lead, I doubt he saw it.)

"Don't worry lad I am. I just don' wanna be surprised by anymore of these 'ere rats leaping outa rooms from behind us. We clear this castle out methodically room by bloody room" Karl finishes with.
Two rounds later, the party (Karl, Nif, Adrom and Vondal), head to the northwest tower. Karl opens the door at F-G6 and three creatures scurry away. Karl looks in to see three goblins looking scared.
Though leery of the idea, if Nif's magic isn't enough to knock the goblins unconcious, Vondal would enter ready to pummel whichever goblin is still conscious straight to sleepvill. That is, assuming Karl didn't block him from entering the room...

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nif casts his spell and the two smaller goblins fall back against the wall and slide to the ground. The third looks even more alarm, saying something that might be a curse in the goblin tongue as it watches its comrades collapse without even being touched. It then looks up at Karl, its eyes big. "No kill!" it says in Common.

As it is right now, Karl's the only one that can see the last gobbo. It's to the right inside the room. Vondal, since you're all in a line, you're actually on the other side of the other door wondering what the hold up is.
"No kill" mumbles Adrom " I bet you would slit our throats without hesitation if you had twenty rats more like you at your back eh? Thank whatever dark and pitiful god you pray that we are better than you... scum... " the cleric spits in front of the goblins. "Tie them up before I make something I wouldn't regret later..." he turns back and guard the entrance while the others treat with them.
Still not entirely sure what's going on or on the hold up, Vondal bites back the urge to speak. So, believing his time better spent on watching the door to the east(J5), trundling his way over as necessary. While he didn't exactly fancy another hobgoblin or wormegeddon surprise bursting out from the angle, the dwarf chose bravery or self-preservation in the moment for the brotherhood.
But, that only went so far, and he was not exactly inclined to peek inside until Karl was ready to move on.

The goblin catches the rope and gags as Karl throws them to him. Adrom moves to get a better angle, hearing the goblin's words. As the cleric chastises the creature, its facial expression shows its struggle to contains its anger. As it begins fumbling a bit awkwardly with the items Karl gave it, it says through a clinched jaw, "You come. Attack us in our home. We defend ourselves." Karl begins to get impatient. It's becoming clear the goblin has no idea how to tie itself up, and it doesn't seem very keen on gagging itself.
"Look I ain't got time ta argue wit ya. We was just looking around not attackin nuttin!" Karl responds. He turns to Nif "listen lad can you tie and gag this fella?"
"Your home?" says Adrom to the goblin "Your lot hasn't built something like this in the whole history of your disgraced race. You rob, plunder, steal and kill whenever you have the chance. Those are the exploits of your kind. Don't you dare to speak to me again filfhy scum!"
The goblin does not fight Nif as the dwarf ties it up. Instead, it glares at Adrom. "An I 'spose you rock kickers would welcome us into your home if we came knocking. We do as we're expected. 'Sides, those tree huggers should be happier now they live in woods."
"Make sure that gag is good and tight lad, I don't want to listen to this sewer rat's drivel anymore than I 'ave ta"Karl says to Nif. Once all the goblins including the sleeping ones are tied and gagged Karl leads the party to the door on J-K#5.

Nif just nods and smiles before whispering quite tune in undercommon, his eyes glowing faintly. Sleep centred on the goblins.
