Adrom, I'm going to assume your single roll was to fire a crossbow bolt, since that's the only thing on your character sheet that is +3. Here's a damage roll: 4. Also, I need you to tell me what is in each of your hands. You're carrying a crossbow in one hand. Is there anything in your other hand, or did you leave it empty to be able to reload your crossbow?
Hearing the creature yell, Nif slips around Adrom to the far side of the corridor at the top of the stairs and fires at the bugbear. Unfortunately, in trying to miss Karl, Nif's shot is too far to the left and misses. The rogue then crouches low and reloads ready for the next opportunity.
Adrom moves forward to help the taller dwarf. Armed with his crossbow, the cleric cuts a small wound in the hairy hide of the bugbear with a bolt.
The dark elf rushes across the ledge, also yelling something in the goblin tongue, splashes through the small stream, and ends up behind Karl, ready to attack.
Though a touch slow to act, Vondal was still as fast as fffff-yuk(boy!), as he is soon blitzing past Nif to get a better sight on the seen. His eyes immediately narrow seeing the Drow. Rather than bring bow to full bear, he instead takes out his focusing crystal with a freed hand and points it towards the Drow. "Hey! Drow! Quick question! What is gonna be blue and black, and then probably red all over too? Hm? Why yes! It will be your face, my friend. Its good joke, ya?" He says as he casts the spell, attempting to ensnare the Drow's mind as he had once done with the Dragon. And if so, he'd call out to Karl and the rest, "Leave'm be until spell breaks. Kill other bugbear first."
Movement: To D17.
Action: Cast (1st level)Marthammor's Jesting on Drow. Wis Save(DC 12) or fall Prone and become incapacitated. Save can be repeated at the end of creatures turn or at each instance of damage.
(Yeah sorry, I made that post from the cell and it came all screwed up. I tried to post damage after that roll but it didn't appeared... Knowing he will need to be close and personal he just use the crossbow once and gets his warhammer, still keeping his shield on the other hand.)
Sorry, everybody. I turned in WAY early yesterday, and the little bits I've been able to do at work didn't include combat records, so I couldn't continue this thread until now.
"Ok lad, if that's what you want, but ya better not stuff it up!" Karl says as he reaches under the bugbear's shield and smacks it in the goolies! There is a low moan in response.
Round 2!
Despite its apparent pain, the bugbear swings its weapon at Karl's head as the dwarf is also trying to keep an eye on the dark elf standing behind him. (Attack: 21 Damage: 12) Taking advantage of Karl's distraction pays off, and the dwarf feels the bugbear's spiked club make contact with the side of his head.
While this is happening, two more bugbears appear, climbing up ropes that had been dropped over the edge and into the rift. They hurry over to surround Karl.
Nif, you're up! Adrom, you're on deck. The drow is prone.

Nif's extra sneak attack due to crit: 6
Nif adjusts for his previous mistake and sights down his crossbow. Without flinching at all, he pulls the trigger, and the bolt rockets forward. As the creature raises its weapon to hit Karl, the bolt enters its eyes, pierces its brain, and finally stops moving halfway out the back of its skull. The bugbear freezes in place as Karl watches its eye deflate and begin to slide down its cheek in a stream of blood. Finally, its arms and knees relax, and it falls to the ground with a flump.
On the other side of Karl, Adrom is swinging his hammer like a wild dwarf! First, he slams it down onto the prone dark elf. And then, without missing a beat, he slams his weapon into the knee of the nearest bugbear. Both the drow and the goblinoid growl in pain.
The dark elf stands up and attempts to stab Adrom with his rapier. (Attack: 23 Damage: 11) The point of the blade finds a hole in the cleric's armor, leaving behind a small injury.
(@DDP: It might not matter, but it the Drow would still need to make the Wis Save for each hit in order to get out of the spell. At advantage since triggered by damage. If still by some miracle down, it then has to make the save without the advantage at the end of its turn.)
Vondal facepalms as Adrom's either dislike for Drow of hard of hearing risks(/undoes) his plan. "I swear.. Even Uncle heard me not leave the squirmer alone." He grumbles underbreath as he stuffs of the arcane focus back into its pouch, and following a deep breath as if preparing himself, hustle down the steps to join the fray, intending to at least put the Drow down before they can do serious harm.
So it was that he practically danced it around it first until between Drow and the northern bugbear, before with Zindral still in hand, threw himself into a flying round house kick at the Drow. Then as landed, he tries to sweep the shin twice, then finally back into a loosely defensive stance with the bow held in such as way to aid in further defenses.
Movement: To 15G.
Action: Thunder Head Strike, triggering Agile Parry and gain +2 AC (Until start of Vondal's next turn). Unarmed Strike - Attack:8 Damage: 3 at Drow.
Bonus Action: Fury of the Storm(Flurry of Blows) Unarmed Strike - Attack:9 Damage: 5 at Drow. Unarmed Strike - Attack:17 Damage: 3 at Drow.
(@DDP: IF Drow turns out to still be under Vondal's spell, assume he targets Bugbear(Green) instead.

Vondal grumbles underbreath as he stuffs of the arcane focus back into its pouch, and following a deep breath as if preparing himself, hustles down the steps to join the fray, intending to at least put the Drow down before they can do serious harm. So it was that he practically danced around it first until between Drow and the northern bugbear, before with Zindral still in hand, threw himself into a flying round house kick at the Drow. Vondal's kick glances off of the drow, clearly not doing any damage. Then as he landed, he tries to sweep the shin twice. The drow glances behind himself at Karl, and the monk takes advantage, landing the two blows. Vondal then finally backs into a loosely defensive stance with the bow held in such as way to aid in further defenses.
Karl grins at the bugbears and, channeling his hatred of the goblinoid and orcish races because of the shame they bought on his family, yells out "Right scum, let's see wot youse 'ave got!" as he swings Hew at the creature Adrom had already hit. His axe cuts a mortal wound into the furry beast, blood squirting and running in response. Its growl turns into a sorrow-filled whine as its eyes roll up, and it falls to the ground in a heap.
Round 3:
The last remaining bugbear looks between Vondal and Karl (1=Vondal, 2=Karl: 1). After watching him slaughter his comrade, the creature raises its morningstar and tries to bring it down on Karl's head. (Attack: 5 Damage: 16) Karl raises his shield and blocks the blow.

Nif decides that the combat is getting too messy, so he drops his crossbow, draws his shortsword and swiftly moves down to F16 and strikes at the drow, taking advantage of his distraction to add his sneak attack damage.
Attack: 9 Damage: 8 piercing damage.
adding to this his sneak attack damage: 6
(OOC: this was assuming that if I was to stow my crossbow and draw my sword, I could not get an attack in. And I also assumed I could get that far and attack. if this is not the case, I would just stay where I was and fire my crossbow.)
Nif drops his crossbow at the top of the stairs and rushes down, drawing his shortsword in the process. Moving quietly, he approaches and attacks the drow while it is distracted by Adrom. At about the same time, the cleric swings his own weapon at the dark elf, slamming his hammer into its waist.
Battered, the dark elf slips away from the group and stumbles up the stairs (ends up at A17).
Vondal, you're up! Karl, you've already posted. We'll keep your rolls, but if you want to change something about your post, you may.

Vondal scowled, but could spare the Drow no more than a moment's glance before needing to again keep track on the Bugbear. However, as he's sizing the goblinoid up, seizing its momentary distraction in focusing on Karl, the dwarf tumbled away to give chase after the Drow. Taking the stairs nearly two at a time, the storm within offering a touch of buoyancy to Vondal, or so it seems, Vondal drew Vonsorm mid-leap off the last step, and brought it crashing down after the Drow's back, gravity and his own weight being thrown into it for maximum damage.
Nif, I'm assuming you mean B16.
