“Well, if something is coming up then we better prepare to fight or run through a door” he yells before pulling his sword and swirling a ball of flames in his other hand, backing slowly from the well. “How long before it gets here?

Flint will stand at the top of the stairs readying an attack with his crossbow if he sees anything heading up while his companions check the doors.

"I don't see anything that would turn off the traps, no hidden switches or the look.  Could be straight up magic.  Kerric, Griff, either of you know how to defuse magic?  I usually just apply the business end of my hammer to whoever is casting the spell to get rid of the effect, but, uh..." Isk says as he looks around the room, "Don't see anyone to bonk."

"Nam, Flint, its about 75 feet down.  We don't have much time.

Garrett looks to the door marked north and standing 25 feet from it casts Mage Hand and using the spectral hand to try and open it.

Garrett's magic is dispelled the moment it touches the stone surface.

Karnic shakes his head, "No, I typically leave magic dispersal to the wizards and the like." He will then light one of his torches and move to the well, "Lets drop this and see how far down it goes." Holding the torch over the edge of the well, Karnic will let it go and watch to see how far it drops before either hitting the bottom or being extinguished. 

Karnic counts and then sees the torch light up for a few seconds a giant hulking figure climbing a spiral staircase towards the party. It's movibg slow but it's moving!

"Um guys. We got company coming and its big." Karnic says to Griff and Isk. 

“Um, guys. Call me crazy but I think this thing coming up the well is a way to force us through a door” he pauses for a second to formulate his thoughts. “What if we kill this thing and go down the well?” He finds himself falling into thought and mumbling to himself before speaking up again, “don’t do what the maze maker expects”

OoC:  The stairs in the well, are they going around the outter wall of the well?

"There are four of us   We don't know what it is,  but you may be right.  Some where along the way I heard entrances are erratic as well marked with symbols and not words.   These doors may only be entrances and the room the entry only from the bog.  Jinx appeared from the south door and we approached from the south. I'm you Nam. We stand and fight. "

Flint will nod in agreement, hoisting up his heavy crossbow ready to attack. (Group 1)

 "This could be a crazy idea, but maybe this thing coming up the steps is an illusion, like the torches.  We are in a maze of lies...does anyone object to me throwing a javelin at it to see what happens?"
