Hemeth - "Captain Blackskull is to be trusted as a Duergar with a strong moral compass. Blackmail has never been a tactic I've known her to employ...perhaps desperate times call for desperate measures, my friend." he says. "What did she have you do?" he asks.
"Grem pissed off the guards when we first got here so we had a debt to pay is what I believe Elmo is referring to."
Leon pauses for a second and addressees Hemeth again
"Hemeth would summoning the Captian here be a viable option. Less moving of Droki around and less of a chance of more people finding out about the plots unfolding."
While elmo is talking, gremryl get 2 whiskeys and slides one over to Elmo. Down the table all cool without looking with full expectation Elmo grabs it.
To Rowland: “keep a sharp eye out, bro. I’m not sure who we can trust around here. Let us know if things get gnarly and we’ll b there with the backup in a hurry (gives high five)”
To the party: “I agree with Leon. We have conflicting stories about the nature of Droki. We need to get both parties into a circle of truth to figure out what’s really going on here. I’d hate to bonk the wrong people! We need to separate truth from fiction before proceeding.”
To our host: “We had some visions in the deep indicating that thumbernuts may b compromised. What has he been up 2 since last we left? Can u arrange an audience? Also, this deep king. What is his nature? Where does he reside? If he is really in trouble, how would we reach him?”
"I be not trying to quarrel with the captain if she comes by. I'll stay men course lads. If we can speak with her perhaps we can also get some information from her. If ye trust them then I will as well.."
Gremryl slides the shot all the way down the long dining table and Elmo, as perceptive as ever, doesn't even look away from the discussion as he flips the shot from the table into his mouth, wiping his lips smoothly, and chiming into the conversation as if nothing had happened.
Hemeth - "I was there when your audience with Captain Blackskull transpired. I remember no such blackmail, Gremryl. She committed you to helping her find Droki...dead or alive. Now that you've captured him, I believe an audience is warranted and will arrange for such." he reminds the group.
Lord Holderhek - "Mikey, are you referring to Themberchaud?" he asks, obviously confused at the question posed regarding the Wyrmsmith. "As for the Deepking, he resides within Gracklstugh as you would imagine. Closely guarded and with authority over the city."
"Sounds like we should talk with the captain then. As stated I bear no ill will, was me own pride that brought that dam barbarian out to the gate...almost had him" the last part into his Ale.
"Can you arrange a meeting then? I agree time be running and I fear we may not be catching it before it runs its course. :
As Rowland exits he's overheard asking the healers, "Would it be possible for one of your servants to procure some pants. Preferably ones with large pockets, we have one in our group who has an affinity for pocket meat."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Elmo catches the shot (I assume brilliantly). He nods at Grem, "So whats the plan mate? Im looking to leave this place. This place is consumed with madness, we best be leaving before it consumes us as well. What about ye mate? I hold ye words and actions in high regard me stout friend. I need to know if bothering Mr Black to lead us to the surface right now to end this night mare is the right call." Elmo drinks the shot.
At some point,
SoH check for how stealthy Elmo is able to line his pockets with meats: 29
Gremryl takes another drink of his Ale "master Elmo, ye a halfing with more wisdom than men twice ye size. But alas I cannot leave while theres work to be done here. My father always said 'ye dont leave the forge till the iron has been wrought. Unfinished business leads to increased headaches. My family needs to be rescued and evil needs to be dealt with. So, I shall not be leaving my halfing comrade"
To Hemeth "let us speak with the captain then. Back in me days I was something of a constable in adbar. Part time of course. Weekend patrollers they called us. Mayhap we can get more info on the gray ghosts as they also seem to be playing a part in this.."
Rowland receives a puzzling glare from one of the House Guards (assuming that's who you asked - you haven't seen the Healer yet) when asking about the pants with oversized pockets. Clearly that request is outside of the Guard's wheelhouse.
Elmo, unnoticed by all, tucks away enough meat into his pockets to last him 10 days worth of rations! The bulges in his pants betray his thievery or an unnatural fondness for whoever is sitting next to him at the moment. Surely there's more meat in Elmo's pockets tonight than ever before and the pride is practically beaming from his wonderful little Halfling heart. They'll most definitely come in handy, he's sure.
Lord Holderhek - "If speaking with Captain Errde Blackskull is to come next, take the time now to wash up and rest. We'll gather you when she's arrived." He says.
Hemeth - "Friends. We have no right to ask you to stay and help us fight to defend our own city. It's on Captain Blackskull's honor that she uphold her end of your bargain and allow you free passage to leave the city, once you deliver Droki to her. I can't see her not holding true to that deal." He looks around at each of the guests in his home. Some of them he's been through quite the ordeal with. Others, are only newly acquainted. "Should you stay, however...Clan Holderhek...nay, the Duergar city of Gracklstugh would be in your debt." He pauses to hear the adventurer's responses.

Mikey concentrates on identifying the gauntlets he got during the long rest.
