As parts of the ceiling begin to fall, this is what happens to each of you:
Gremryl Stonebreaker - Looks up at the boulder-sized chunk of ceiling and mightily swings both Bella and Stella with perfect timing - smashing the boulder to bits that do no harm as the rain down around him.
Elmo Lightpocket - Deftly dodges left, then right, then cartwheels backward to dodge every falling chunk of rock headed his way.
Morgana - Jumps to the side, very narrowly dodging a heavy boulder that would have caused serious harm had she been just a few seconds late to move.
Hemeth - In true "Matrix" style, he not only moves quickly to evade the falling rock, but he's also able to run for a brief moment along the wall and grab Stool to safety, who was otherwise about to be mortally crushed by the chunk of ceiling headed right towards him.
Once the dust clears, you all realize that fallen rock has buried both ends of the passageway. However, a new passage has opened in one of the walls, offering a possible escape route. It's clear that the route you took to enter has been blocked by tons of rubble. You suspect it would take a while to dig your way out there.
Elmo - You determine from a careful investigation that the cause of the tremors seems to be from a natural source, however, it's very difficult to determine with 100% certainty. If it was caused by a large creature, you see no sign of it, nor are you thinking it's a current threat to you or your party.
I think the tremor was a bloody freak of nature. I dont think we are in danger of being devoured by burrowing horrs just yet. I think this is the only way forward. Im going to go scout ahead. Follow at a safe distance or stay put and I can report back aye?
You approach a fork in the tunnel. At this point, you can go left or right. Down the left side, you seem to see the start of stonework. Down the right side, the tunnel appears to open up to a larger space but you can't see much beyond that.
Gremryl - You lay your hand on the stone and you close your eyes for a moment. In that moment you sense that this was a temple...a very ancient temple that. It may have been used by dwarves and there are ancient dwarven runes on the wall that would seem to confirm that. While some of the runes look somewhat familiar, it's not recognizable enough for you to understand.
Elmo - You quietly sneak over to the other side of the tunnel and stop just as the tunnel opens up to a larger area. Upon close inspection from your position, you don't immediately notice anything that would cause you harm. In one of the corners, you do see a pile of bones that have been there for a long time. Cobwebs have formed across the doomed adventurer's remains, although the bones themselves are unusually not intact as you would expect, so it's very difficult from this vantage point to discern what race they belong to. Additionally, you do notice the walls of this 10-foot-high cave glistens with dark, dripping water.
