Stool (to all) - "Everyone! I've established contact with the stranger. He says he's a prisoner of the Drow group! He also says there are more of them laying in wait for us and one of them, a priestess is very powerful! Go ahead, you can communicate with him now." Stool says excitedly.
To the stranger: "Greetings, friend. Seems like you hit a spot of bad luck. We may be able to help extricate you from your predicament but we'll need your help. What info can you give us on the drow? Numbers, location, powers, weapons, etc. And what of you. What's your deal? How did you come to be in this state?"
“Bad luck...yes. Tymora’s favor has not been with me. I am currently gagged and shackled. I am of no help at the moment. I can see four drow soldier types and a powerful priestess. She seems to have cast a spell on herself to ward herself from enemies. We are not far from the scout if you have seen him or his arrows. If you free me, I will do my best to restore whatever wounds you sustain in the process.”
To the stranger: "Stand by. Let us know if you see anything unusual."
To the party: "New plan. Thieves sneak around and get behind them. Free the prisoner if you can, set up a pincer maneuver if you can't. Everyone else, form up on Grem and hold the line. Thoughts?"
The stranger attempts to force the cloth gag from his mouth but critically unsuccessful in that attempt, he somehow manages to force it further down his throat and blocks the air into his lungs!
Elhutz, now feeling much closer to remaining among the living than as close as he was to joining the dead, surveys the battleground and takes action next!
Elhutz will drop to floor and curl up in the fetal position. To his Drawfin friend in a low voice so as not to alert the enemy," Do not fret lad. It is just a ploy." He lifts his head slightly to reveal a shit eating grin. He then uses a cunning action to use shape shadows to put up a projection over himself of himself. It looks as though nothing has changed. He then dashes to cover next to Gremryl. Hopefully he can hide and try to sneak his way up the shadows toward Elmo next turn.
The Drow Scout takes action next, and while pleased with his previous attack, has more pressing threats to worry about...namely, the Halfling Rogue that's now blocking his path back to his group! Brandishing his shortsword, the Drow Scout slices cleanly through Elmo's left shoulder pad and deals 8 points of damage! With a half-feint to catch Elmo's defenses off guard, he strikes again with his shortsword, this time with a critical hit to Elmo's inner right thigh for 9 points of damage!
Drow Scout - "Attack! Attack NOW!!" he cries out to the rest of his group, knowing that his death is imminent without immediate aid.
You somehow hear the whispers of a female Drow's incantation echoing through the cavern. Elmo glances back towards the direction of the voice and sees a vaguely familiar Drow Priestess farther back in the shadows. Then, he sees flame-like radiance descending upon him. He has just enough time to attempt to dodge the spell attack! Elmo - roll a Dexterity saving throw!
The Drow Priestess mutters something incomprehensible to all and moves out of sight from where Elmo stands.
The stranger who's been in Drow captivity successfully manages to wake himself (after causing himself to pass out) but is still chained and gagged which renders him unable to cast any spells at this time. Waiting patiently for a moment to make a break for it, uses the exact moments that the Drow Priestess and her subordinates are looking at Elmo to take action!
"Ill be attempting to sneak me way over to ye and cut ye free. As soon as I can stop bleeding for a moment that is. If by chance I manage to luck me way over to ye with catching another blade, then I wouldn't be minding lending ol'Elmo a spot of that aid ye mentioned earlier"
“Don’t worry about coming to get me. I am creating a distraction.”
Seeing the priestess back away, I will Channel Divinity: Invoke Duplicity an illusory image of myself 10 feet ahead of me. I will use my bonus action to have my image run forward past the drow and towards where i believe my future allies are. I will move away from the drow and down the pathway we came down from.
While the stranger makes his escape from the Drow, the illusion of himself provides the confusion he needs to do that successfully!
Hemeth charges forward and with a hefty toss of his javelin...this time, it sails waaaaaaaay behind the Drow Scout that just watches as it offers no threat whatsoever.
Hemeth - "Blasted [Insert Dwarven slang from the dirtiest parts of Blingdenstone here]! Grem, you didn't see that..." he says in a frustrated tone.
Morgana is ready to take action next!

“Keep distance from the priestess. She cast a protective spell on herself.”
I will attempt to push the gag out of my mouth again when able
