To Grem:  "That was pretty ****ed up!  You ok, buddy?"

To Stool:  "See if you can get into Elmo's mind and c what his deal is.  He doesn't look so good!"

To Leon:  "U OK?" 

He looks around....

"What... where.. (he looks at the tiefling??) Who ye be? Where is this?"

He keeps looking around.. who the **** are these beings.. 

"Who's Grem?? And why is that gray one looking at me! Where am i?"  He points at Hemmeth in a serious not friendly tone.. 

Leon stands up and surveys his surroundings. Seeing Morgana is fine and Glab is in possession of the box.

"Glab you're a life saver. Thank you."

"I am good Morg.  See if you can calm Grem down with some of your charming personality.  Careful he doesn't seem to know who we are.  I will help Stool with Elmo."

Leon walks over to Elmo and begin examining him. Leon places a hand on Elmo's forehead and begin chanting to Tymora while holding his amulet. 

"Stool keep trying to talk to him.  Lead his mind back to us.  You are the best shot we have."

As Leon sees Stool begin to focus on talking to Elmo, Leon cast lesser restoration on Elmo.

While still tending to Elmo and waiting for him to recover...

"Where is that silent elf that gave us this box? I have some questions."

Tymora help me find this guy. Leon cast guidance on himself and checks for Lhutz.

To Grem:  "Easy there, big guy.  Everything is fine.  We are all friends here.  You are experiencing some temporary amnesia due to contact with a demonic box.  That dureger there is Hemeth.  You two are good buddies that have done lots of smiting together.  I am Morganna and am also a friend.  You have nothing to fear from us."  Persuasion check = 19

    By Morgana's request, Stool begins attempts to tap into Elmo's mind...

Stool's Con saving throw: 12

Stool - "Miss Morgana...I see nothing.  It's completely black...and cold...I can't find Elmo's consciousness anywhere in his mind!" it says worriedly.

    As Leon heals Elmo, hoping to also retrieve his mind in the process, he wonders if this ailment is a part of something greater that's pervading this accursed Underdark.  As the spell finishes taking effect, Elmo's eyes blink and begin to track motion again.  Coming back to this reality, both of his hands go to his head as if he were recovering from a massive Halfling hangover.

    Leon looks for Elhutz, who comes strolling back from what, you're not sure of.

Elhutz - "What's going on here?  I leave to take a piss and come back to...what's wrong with the Halfling?  And why is the Dwarf acting strange?" he asks, perplexed.

"Stool back away from him.  Whatever evil was in that box has taken a hold on him.  I don't want in spreading to you. Let see what else I can do.  Stool can we try that light trick?"

Leon touches Stool.

"We gonna fix him up Stool. Okay buddy. Keep talking to him."

Leon casts guidance on Stool.  Leon waits for Stool to release a spore and casts light on it.

With better lighting, Leon cast Guidance on himself and does a medicine check 10 plus 1 on Elmo.

Leon remains with Stool and Elmo praying and trying to help Elmo recover.

Leon's Medicine check: Leon understands that what Elmo experienced was connected to the box, without a doubt.  The origins of the box are still a mystery to him.  Leon takes minor comfort in knowing that his magic can heal those who've been affected by the madness.  Then Leon turns his attention to Gremryl, who's still panicking from his unfamiliar surroundings...

After seeing Elmo is doing better, Leon cautiously moves towards Grem.

”Grem I need you to trust me bud. My name is Leon. You just saved my life. Your name is Gremryl Stonebreaker. You are a former soldier who use to fight with the Gutbusters. Your’re a mighty paladin of Moradin. Let me help you okay.”

Leon reaches forward and casts lesser restoration on Gremryl.

    Leon's magic takes effect and Gremryl begins to regain his memories in a controlled manner.

“Morgana stay with Grem for a second. I will check on him in a second.”

Leon turns to Lhutz

“Where the hell did you go? Did you know that box was trapped? You knew we were all checking on the box that you brought. Out of all the guys here you are the only one who hasn’t talked to me and I know nothing about. How do you come to meet up with these guys?”

Leon holds on to his amulet and whispers,”Tymora help me see what he is thinking” while casting guidance

Elmo snaps back into reality with his hands clutching his head in pain.  He tries to scream in terror but crumbles to the ground and vomits instead due to the stench of death, real or not,  still clinging to his nostrils.  

Elmo says weakly,

"What the bloody hell happened?" Elmo stands up weakly and walks over to Grem and puts his arm over his friends shoulder not knowing about his condition.  "How about you friend? did ye get sucked into a void of death as well mate?" With on arm over Grem's shoulder Elmo does an awkward back and forth motion with his hips.  "Sorry mate, just making sure I didn't  shite myself in a of recent moment of physical of weakness and lack of control."  Elmo looks at Grem, "Something wrong mate?"

I want to do an insight check on Elhutz when he returned to the party and answered Leon.  I believe that happened after elmo woke up right?

To Glab:

"Im feeling like shite mate, ye mind if I just lay here and ye tell me a joke, or a story, or a dirty limrick, anything.  See if ye can make the great Elmo smile.  I could use one about now mate."

to Leon in private:

"Leon my tall friend, I got the feeling that ye sensing that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to the elf. If ye need any help investigating him, just let Elmo know."

Elmo hands Leon a choice piece exotic luxury dried meats.

"Here ye go mate.  Ye get the other one I left for ye? Best meal you’re going to have in this shite hole, curtesy of our friend Hemeth “ Elmo says with a smile while bringing a finger to lips “shhhh” 

Elmo takes a bite of a lesser quaility meat and continues to Leon,

“I have been suspecting we have been followed for a bit.  Anytime I think Im close to finding proof, I come up shor... halfling.  I came up halfling (Elmo says with a smile realizing that he almost left himself wide open to a short joke).  Jokes aside, these drow be tracking us somehow.  Perhaps we are being followed, perhaps we have something magical in nature on our persons that is allowing them to track us (He pulls out his drow dagger). This could be the culprit for all Elmo knows.  Can ye detect magic mate?"

Gremryl looks around...they seem familiar to him.. but a human, a halfing, a tiefling... and a duergar for moradins sake!

"Aye, I am Gremryl Stonebreaker.. that much I know. But I know  it ye names..or do I? And we are friends ye say? What say you gray one(he addresses Hemmeth) ye be my friend?" 

Gremryl is still apprehensive... He grabs his mace abruptly and lights it up, its righteous green flame somehow comforting.  Yes is Gremryl Stonebreaker. Champion of Moradin. If they be his companions like they say. Moradin will show him. 

He'll cast Divine sense and Zone of Truth he'll get to the bottom of this...the players have to roll a CHA saving throw

    Elhutz takes a defensive posture when asked by Leon about his whereabouts and intentions.

Elhutz - "Cleric, do you know what I do?  No.  You don't.  So don't come at me with your high and mighty preachy attitude." He says abruptly. "I gave you the box because you asked for it.  Because whether I regret the decision or not, I trusted you with it.  Trusted all of you with it." He holds his arms out and motions to everyone when he says this. "I went to take a piss, right over there..." he points to an area across the cavern. "...That thing didn't come with an instruction manual, ya know.  Is it really my fault that you all attempted to do whatever you attempted to do and it apparently backfired on you?  Is it?" Now in a full boil, his temperament is clearly visible through is demeanor. "I risked my life for this box and then got double-crossed by my employer, then came upon the rest of these people but now I'm thinking that I'll take my box back and find my spot to sleep.  I need to cool off before I do something you'll regret..." Elhutz swipes the box from Glabbagool, burning his hand in the meantime, and walks a few yards over to a section of floor where he'll shrug off any further attempts at conversation from the party.

Leon's Insight check: Leon fully believes that everything Elhutz was said in genuine conviction and there doesn't appear to be any deceit behind his words.
