"Oh come on now, what's the hold up? We're not ninjerers here!" Lythril moves into the rounded stair room and shout "Helloooo! I've got some ass kicking to hand out!"
She then takes up a defensive stance next to our chipper scout.

Azrael would bow to Lythril, saying Thank you, you are ever a light in the darkness, and always Abreast. Now able to see, atleast a short distance. Azrael would eye the statues he could now see atleast shadows of, and spoke to Lythril.. Do you suppose the other one have something similar? Perhaps we should check before we proceed.... In a small way he felt sorry for Grianne's discovery, but she ... wasn't someone he knew. while Lythril was, And he didn't feel the same feeling he had towards Raiik. For now, she was a stranger who happened to be along.
Azrael maintained his firebolt at the ready if something obviously attacked, but Azrael wouldn't be the agressor unless that something was obviously evil.
I'm assuming so, so here we go! I have traced the areas you guys have explored so far from the start. Grianne took the green path further ahead, reported what she saw, and rejoined you all to enter the secret room I've circled.
A secret door opens to reveal an empty 10-foot-square cubicle with a 5-foot-wide tunnel of rough-hewn stone leading away from it. The tunnel descends slightly until it reaches a room that smells like a sewer. The room contains the following features:
Flood. The floor of the room tilts — its west end is 6 feet lower than its east end. Foul sewer water covers the floor, barely reaching the east wall but deepening by 1 foot for every 10 feet of travel westward.
Statue.A wide alcove in the north wall contains a life-size statue of a sahuagin, submerged up to its chest in sewer water. The statue emits a dim purple radiance, its head is completely turned around, and one of its arms has broken off and is nowhere to be seen.
Danitriel raised an eyebrow. "What are 'ninjerers' anyway?"
"You know, those roguish types of being that are excellent at stealth, and wear colorful headbands, and eat meat on flatbread to maintain their almost mystical powers? I've never seen one, I think it might be just rumor."
Lythril keeps her eyes open for danger, reminding herself to blink once in a while. "Fah, sewers...AGAIN." Lythril finds a mostly clean spot on the floor, sits daintily and performs a ritual to summon Thumper the Unseen Servant
"OK now Thumper, go over to that statue there and see if there is anything in the muck. Yes, I know, I don't like to get dirty either, I'll get you some fresh greens later, I promise. go go now." The Dwarf smiles and makes a shooing motion towards the statue.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Azrael walks around, making sure to thank Allesandra again for everything. Using the combined light of his stafflight and the torch. After a moment's consideration, he would tell the group Here, let me handle this.... I might be able to avoid the water entirely, and investigate the statue relatively safely. If this triggers some trap, I apologize ahead of time but atleast it will likely only hurt me, and leave the rest of you unscathed.
WIth that, making sure his party knew what he was doing.. Azrael would get as near to the statue as possible without touching the water, and would then cast Misty Step, Aiming himself to 'stand' atop the statue itself.
if no checks are needed:
Azrael would then kneel and start to run his hand over the statue, seeing if he could notice anything, while looking the purple-glowing statue over.

(Is that rule really true that you cant roll less than your passive per? also if so, wouldn't any roll udner your passive PER just round up 'to' your passive? otherweise no one could roll less than a 9)

(Wipes tears from laughing so much. Ow. Stomach hurts. Not exactly. What I understand is you can use your passive perception anytime, which is basically "on" all the time, or you can roll if you "REALLY wanna pay attention", like when the DC is, say, 20. You can roll to try and get a higher number. But, if you roll, you take the result, you forgo your passive perception in that case.)
Like the sound of a whole cabinet of dishes crashing to the ground, Azrael's gentle caress causes the statue to topple over and smash to the ground. It is now completely in pieces. You slip in the water, and even though it's only a few feet deep, you flail and splash around as if you're drowning, attracting curious stares from the rest of the party. You even make gurgling sounds even though clearly your head is not underwater.
Something stirs in the water about 10' away. An amorphous blob rises from it due to the disturbance. It forms into a slimy dark cube of ooze and, surprisingly, attacks psionically.
Az, please make a DC10 INT saving throw, and try not to nat1 this one, k? =P
(I believe Crispy's right. Passive perception is there for enemies and traps to hide against. If you're actively looking, or using that skill, then you roll.)
Raiik watches in amusement as the large Dragonborn awkwardly crouches on the statue itself.
Raiik grins. "Wa-hey!" *PUSH*
Raiik looks around when he says that and sees Azrael feeling his way along the walls. "Anyone got a uhh, light for our Draconic friend here?"

Raiik has discovered this area below where you guys are.
"There be a torch but I'll help out," Lythril winks and flicks her fingers at Azrael's staff, it lights up with a bright green-white glow.
Lythril takes a look around not expecting to see or hear much (perception) 10

Much to your chagrin, nothing answers back except the cold silence.
(Raiik definitely sauntered down the path too, I should have mentioned. Most likely next to Lythril.)
"Awww, not much of a party down here eh? I expected SOME action with the exclusive entrance." He says, looking around. 13

Grianne looks into the secret hallway, Are we going in there ? Best be careful. If we have tunnelers, they could be anywhere.
