I believe we are somewhat light on health, but not 100% sure. Rodolfo got hit once, which is rough for a wizard but still OK on spell slots. Considering only one can be used per round of combat, that's plenty.
What about story progression versus combat encounters? Do you all remember what's going on? Are the combat encounters getting stale? Or are they still the fun parts?
The combat encounters are interesting enough due to restrictions on movement and other such aspects.
The story, if I recall correctly, was to get out and the only way to get out was up the Silken Path. And the "out" I believe was referring to the surface world, but not 100% sure on that.
We still have a scout with us from Blingdenstone as well?
That’s what I remember of the mission, Thurnir is the sole survivor of a scouting mission from Mithril Hall, trying to get back to report to King Bruenor. I think the combat is good, trying to post faster so I don’t slow down the game.
I'm okay with all options (long rest if a safe place can be found, short rest to regain some HP, or pushing forward to find a more secure long rest area). Beegred is down some health, but not too bad.

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sorry folks, back to school for my teacher wife and my two young kids has been quite a rollercoaster ride. Everyone but me is sick. Fun stuff.
Anyway, moving on.
I'm going to make two rolls and hopefully the forum won't screw them up. The first roll is a Survival roll to find a good place to hole up for a long rest. This Survival roll will become the DC for the second roll, which determines if there's another encounter.
Before I continue with climbing/progress/encounter checks, please review the grease/spider-climb rules we established earlier HERE.
Note, in the story you have a Deep Gnome scout with you, but she is only there for the sake of the story. She doesn't participate in combat or affect your progress rolls. Since Orubis has unfortunately decided to leave the campaign, his character will also 'fade' into the story. He will no longer participate in combat, or affect your progress rolls.
Do I assume we continue the climb with Grease applied to everyone but Skameros, who gets Spider Climb?
Hope the family gets healthy soon. (With school starting, more infections will get passed around in the short term.)
Like Tesservett said, yay for Long Rest. Beegred does his usual Goodberry before the rest, handing out a berry to everyone (including the unnamed scout), the rest of the 24-hour berries go into a pouch.
If we don't want Orubis dead, and he was freed from the webs, we might wake up in the morning to find him missing (he had the last guard shift).
He could have left a note: "Game over, man! No one said anything about giant spiders. Time to bug out and call it even. I'm heading back to Blingdenstone. If you were smart, you'd do that too. But between the tiny one and the big hairy one, not so smart!"

Question- considering using find steed - can it be a giant lizard mount? A giant spider might be more practical for the current situation but Thurnir wouldn’t want that, especially not after the last few battles.

Sure. A Warhorse has a CR of 1/2. A Giant Lizard has a CR of 1/4. So I'm fine with that, especially considering Thurnir is a dwarf and a scout that regularly patrols the underdark. Spider Climb is a bit strong, but perfectly reasonable in the underdark.
Web search came up with a nice drawing of a dwarf fighter on a bear, but this is the next best one for Thurnir.

I'm down 12 hp - so not too bad considering - a short rest would fix me so its up to the rest of the group
Otherwise I don't have many other resources to worry about
Skameros - Bugbear Barbarian - Out of the Abyss - By Kerrec
Follow your Arrow where it Points - Tabaxi Monk - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy)
Citron Pumpkinfoam - Fairy Monk - Project Point: Team Longsword
I could use a long rest if we can pull one off. Not many spell slots left, and no lay on hands left.

Sorry folks. Was at home yesterday dealing with a kid with an ear infection. Tonight I travel out of town.
I will resume posting on Monday.
Ok, Have a good weekend all!

(Did we lose Orobis or managed to drag him out? I just posted assuming we had to abandon them to the webs, but can edit)

No, he is still with the party, in story only. When you made a post saying Thurnir wouldn't leave him behind, I decided he'd just become and NPC.
Ok -I’ll edit the In game post .

Awesome!
The Orubis and riding lizard has drawn attention away from a question I asked HERE.
Need your input before I make the next set of rolls.
