Lol, going to be an interesting character. Granted.
Someone please decide how Eldeth will react to the situation. See the Official Thread.
Because I rolled a narrow tunnel, I'll rule the drow had to get within 20 feet of the watch to obtain line of sight on the party. If the drow goes first (assuming initiative is rolled), he will duck around the corner and break line of sight.
Eldath takes the shot (if she still has it), and yells "drow scout, stop it!"

For this encounter: find a somewhat hidden crevice or side chamber, a short distance away from the current campsite, and dump the drow scout body there. After the long rest finishes, the characters with Survival and Nature should spend a little more time cleaning up the traces of the camp and any tracks made by the party in that area.
Longer term: From this day forward, any day where the party starts with 12+ lbs. of food and full water skins should be done at Fast Pace for travel. This will make foraging and watching for danger more difficult, but it will increase the distance covered (especially away from nearby Drow).
If all goes well, that will mean alternating Fast Pace day (for distance) and Normal Pace day (to resupply food).

You currently have 5.5 gallons of water in waterskins and 14 pounds of day 20 food. So I should switch to a Fast Pace for day 21?
Edit: Well, rereading the rules for the chase was worth it.
I just now realized that fighting encounters should allow your pursuers to catch up some (haven't been doing that).
I also found out you can assign someone to cover up your tracks every day while travelling, DC 16 (Survival) to increase your lead.
If you choose a fast pace, you don't get to forage at all and there's a -5 penalty to Perception checks.
If you choose a slow pace, you get 'improved foraging'. I guess that is up to me to adjudicate. You can also attempt to stealth.
I thought Fast Pace meant harder foraging, instead of no foraging. So that shouldn't be a regular thing, despite what I mentioned before. But I think (in character) having a drow scout come across the party would be enough motivation to do a Fast Pace today, before "relaxing" into Regular Pace the following days.
For the Survival check to hide the campsite (main thread post 1403), the usual suspects are Narstin and Eldeth with Survival +5. One of them should help the other. Have Narstin roll with advantage. If he is busy (IRL) and Kerrec decides to push the timeline forward, have Kerrec roll with advantage for Eldeth.

Yeah I think at least this day at fast pace would be prudent given the drow scout we just encountered, and I suppose depending on how fast we're going through food and water perhaps a couple days just to try and put some distance between us and anyone else. do we have a rough idea of how far away our destination is?

I will give Narstin a chance to roll first. I'd rather not be driving the story using NPC's.

I have given Beegred an answer regarding how long it should take. If he doesn't remember, the group is about half-way between where they came from and where they are trying to go.
Day 20 Travel:
Day 20 skill check results:
Start day with 5 gallons of water and 33 pounds of day 19 food.
Water:
Food:
10 miles traveled towards Neverlight Grove (110/216)
With Wolena, the requirement is now 11 pounds/gallons. Short 1 gallon, so Narstin has to use a spell slot. Left with 5 gallons in waterskins.
You eat your day 19 food, throwing the rest away and are left with 14 pounds of day 20 food.
Day 20 long rest
