The human man that had approached Beegred and then went to check on the unconscious leader appears to take over, saying "Well, what I think is you should let us carry Fanuco past your new friends far enough so we can camp in peace. You an all go on your way, and good riddance."
Beegred is confused about what happened, and frustrated (the battle adrenaline is still flowing).
He steps out of the way, but decides to try to look tough, all 3' 1" of him. "No monkey business!"

Rodolfo scratches his head by reaching his right hand over his whole head to reach the left cheek, nods to Beegrid and starts heading back the way they came.
As the party gives the defeated raiders free passage past their camp, two of the men drop their packs and between them, pick up and carry the unconscious leader. The other two men heft the dropped packs and they all warily make they way past the camp and beyond, until you can no longer hear them as they bicker among themselves about their situation.
Settling down again to continue the interrupted long rest, Valthana, Stool and Beegred take the last shift. A few hours later, everyone wakes, grabs some food and prepares for another period of travel. At this point, Krizzibond and Rodolfo observe the full extent of the party they could have fought, had Faduco persisted in his attempt to extort payment.
Beegred the halfling, Narstin, Eldeth and Tozer the dwarves are joined by Xilyrah the half drow, a deep gnome by the name of Jimjar, two full drow, one free by the name of Sarith, the other named Khilseith tied up and dragged along by a huge beast named Prince Derendil, a demure full elf introduced as Burfeth, and finally a large and tall woman cradling a small humanoid mushroom thing, called Valthana and Stool, respectively.
Other than Burfeth, Khilseith and Stool, all the others look to be experienced in combat or capable of holding their own in some way.
Rodolfo starts the morning by catching the eye of everyone and nodding. First the people he already met and then the new people. Once he gets to the deep gnome Jimjar he's at first delighted to have met another gnome, but then his gaze lingers and he's really not sure what's going on. That gnome is just different.
But continuing on from there once he sees the drow he just scans the rest of the crowd and makes himself busy tidying his own pack. He checks how Krizz is handling the new crowd, not knowing how much of the world he has seen in his young years.
Beegred decides to help out the newcomers. "If Krazzy there can't see in the dark like the rest of us, Narstin can makeLight." (Beegred is very smug about a halfling having darkvision.) "Valthana has been stumbling around, since a light draws attention. But if 2 of you are having troubles, it may be worth it so we can keep our pace fast. While we haven't seen them recently, some angry Drow bastards are behind us, so we need to keep moving.
"That bandit leader talked about a tomb. Were you told where it might be? We could use more equipment, to replace what those Drow slavers took from us.
"By any chance do you have a sprig of mistletoe that you'd sell? Narstin being able to create water was a huge help for our situation. If I had some mistletoe, I could use a spell to help with the food supplies.
"Don't worry, as the brains of this group, just follow my lead." (You don't need an Insight check to realize that Beegred is not the brains. He means well, but he is a dumbass.)

Krizz looks around at everyone and says "Aye, light would be good, or I could just swing my maul chest high and miss everyone if we encounter anything." as he makes a short joke about most of the of the party since Prince Derendil is probably the only other close in size.
"I do not have any mistletoe, but I do have a pair of handaxes if anyone needs a weapon....and you travel with curious friends." he'll indicate the drow, Derendil, and the small mushroom "how is it you came to be in these blasted tunnels of the underdark? and where is it you are headed?" his voices at times almost sounds like two stones rubbing together as it rumbles from deep within his chest.
"As for the tomb, I do not believe Fanuco knew where it was, we have been wandering down here for weeks looking for it. I do not believe it even exists."
and after Beegred's declaration of being the brains of the group he just nods and pats him on the shoulder like 'uh huh sure you are'
"how is it you came to be in these blasted tunnels of the underdark? and where is it you are headed?"
"We were kid-napped by Drow slavers, and tortured by their queen commander. That guy," (points at Sarith, who has completely zoned out), "used to be one of the officers, until a different pretty-boy took his spot next to the commander... We managed to escape. Half of us want to get to that mushroom's home town, the other half are continuing to a deep gnome castle that does trading with dwarves, so we can escape to the surface."
Beegred finds a patch of dirt, and draws a map (that looks suspiciously like OOC post 593) which is what he remembers Sarith drawing at the journey's start. If you have any familiarity with the Underdark, he remembers the city names all wrong.
"We were at Vulcanville, where the Drow had a stronghold near the cavern ceiling. We want to get to Blindingstone (deep gnome castle), but are stopping by the Nevergrave (mushroom town) first. We were warned the travel on the Dark Lake might be trouble. The northern route would have us go near Slurpburp (weird fishmen) and Marzipan (drow city), so that sounded too dangerous. While we are going south around the lake, the plan is to avoid going into Grankstick, since the duergar might also be trouble."

"So...if you were held prisoner by the drow, why do you keep them around?" he points to the two drow "seems the supplies you have would last longer without two extra mouths to feed."
(OOC - I figure this is just Krizz having the typical sterotype thoughts about Drow that one would expect a surface dweller to have.)
(Feel free to retcon any conversation you wish to pursue).
The party rests and sets out. With Krizzibond adding his voice to Valthana, the party concedes to providing a source of light for the otherwise blind fighters. Eventually the tunnels widen slightly and ease the sense of claustrophobia, allowing members to walk side by side. Sarith leads in his usual careful manner, providing hours of downtime between progress as he investigates various tunnels before choosing his path. This provides plenty of time to work on minor crafting tasks (has to be portable) or quiet conversation.
The walls of the cave eventually changes from a natural pockets with solid walls to sloping scree falling down into darkness below. Sarith doesn't even hesitate and walks across the angled loose surface, forcing everyone else to follow or be abandoned. Sure enough, when the party is too far from either end of the scree to avoid danger, the scree begins to shift and slide downwards, providing the slightest window of reaction time to avoid the incoming avalanche of stone.
If the source of light is magical (ie light) Krizz will offer up the head of his maul as the object for the spell - otherwise he'll be just as content with torches or lamps

Rodolfo considers it for a moment and then looks up at his big friend, "What do you think, Krizz?"

Over his shoulder to the player characters, the large Dragonborn will say "Does that work for everyone?" still swinging his maul.

Rodolfo scratches his head by reaching his right hand over his whole head to reach the left cheek, nods to Beegrid and starts heading back the way they came.
Narstin steps aside to let them through as well, but keeps a close, wary eye on the two newcomers, just in case this is an elaborate trap.
As the party gives the defeated raiders free passage past their camp, two of the men drop their packs and between them, pick up and carry the unconscious leader.
