The priestess appears to be trying to withhold her anger, which can be seen from her pursed lips and rigid stance. Finally she orders all of you to sit in a circle, facing away from each other. You wait there until the quaggoth that carried Shoor away returns. The priestess tells you, "I'm going to ask him if Shoor was angered by you speaking. Any last words?" She doesn't even wait for your response as she asks the quaggoth in undercommon. It slowly nods its head in the affermative. Furious again, she asks you in elvish, "If that was all it was, why lie to me in the first place?" Letting out a big breath, she continues, "Ah never mind, simple minds think foolish things. I'd rather not know. Your work detail is over. Back to your prison." She motions to the quaggoth to escort you and walks away.
You all find yourselves back in the cell, your work detail cut short. Valthana successfully smuggled a a strip of meat in with her.

Valthana waits until the coast is clear and then approaches the mushroom creature to give it the food.
Stealth: 21
Eat, little one, she think-speaks to it. I'm sorry that one was being mean to you. She hesitates. Did you do something to it to make it act so strangely?
Narstin lets out a sigh of relief as the priestess and guards get out of sight after leaving them in the cell. "I can't believe that actually worked," he thinks over the telepathic bond. Looking around, he finds Tozer and approaches the other dwarf. "I inspected the gate earlier. Pretty sure we could knock it off it's hinges with a good blow. Loud, but quick, then we'd have to get out of here fast. Or else grind down the rivets on the hinges, which would let us take the gates off quietly, but takes a lot longer."
Posting under the assumption that Tozer has completed his long rest just as Xilyra has done
Tozer nods in response to Narstin's idea. "Yes, break down the gate and make a run for it. With the aid of the quaggoth and Valthana, the gate should fall." He pauses for a moment before asking, "Run with...or without weapons? I know there's a small armory above the guard post, Narstin. The group should be made aware of this."
Then, staring down for the hundredth time at the manacles that have left his wrists raw and bloody, Tozer prepares himself for another attempt to break loose. He intentionally pushes himself into another barbarian rage and begins to pull his arms apart with every bit of focus, strength, and anger he can muster...
Beegred looks around, puzzled. "Are we doing this, now?"
While waiting to hear what the others decide, he will take out the long slender shard of metal (post 51) that he had hidden in his mouth. Anyone trying to slip out of their shackles will be given the shard, in case they can use it to pick the lock. (Beegred could try if you like, with his natural DEX bonus, but he does not have proficiency.)

The telepathic bond doesn't appear to be working, but you place the strip of meat near him and he... presses up against it. It takes a bit of time but you can see the meat is being absorbed.
His second attempt to break his bonds by force frustrated, Tozer takes hold of the metal shard offered by Beegred and attempts to pick the lock.

Dexterity check:21
Tozer has no idea at all what he is doing with the metal shard, but sticking it inside the key hole and moving it around randomly causes it to miraculously unlock! (Would have been at a disadvantage because the lock pick is not a proper tool for the task, but you used insipiration, so that cancels out the disadvantage. Straight roll, and your first roll was the 18.)
Jimjar sees Tozer is free and he comes over and says in common, "Wager I can get out without picking the lock. One gold coin? I'll keep tabs, don't worry."
Eldeth shakes her head in disapproval and holds out her manacles in front of Tozer, "Never be minding that, be getting mine off, please?"
Tozer studies Jimjar for a moment and then responds, "A fellow who enjoys the wager, eh? I'll take that bet. The winner may have to wait a bit for his earnings. I seem to have misplaced my coins."
The dwarf then makes an attempt to repeat his inept but successful lock picking for Eldeth.
Dexterity: 21
But, he's at a disadvantage, of course; so the second roll...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The presence of every prisoner in the cell coupled with the guards' decreased alertness has created a sense of urgency in Tozer. He watches Xilyra, with Narstin's help, trying to free herself. Tozer then kneels next to Xilyra and, using the metal shard, fiddles with the lock on the half-drow's manacles...
Dexterity check (if DM permits Beegred's help action to cancel Tozer's disadvantage w/ metal shard): 8
Second roll for dexterity check (if DM rules Tozer remains at a disadvantage): 7

"The goliath next," whispers Tozer to himself. Momentarily interrupting Valthana as she feeds the bizarre mushroom-like creature, Tozer once again tries to free a prisoner's hands with the metal shard...

FYI, the telepathic bond doesn't appear to work anymore.
(Aww!!! Would I be able to tell it was actually gone when I try to think to it, or just not get a response)
Valthana frowns as her thoughts seem to be hers alone again. "Little one?" she asks quietly.
You get no response.
