(LOL... yeah, that was way too long 2 spiders... Sorry. I'm trying to keep up on all my campaigns but it's tough now that the sun is shining :) I'm going to really make an effort to post at least once a day though.)
So are you opening the door? Does anyone want to do any checks, listen, or stealth or anything?
Vail shrugs, adjusts his shield and regrips his sword. He places the night vision goggles over his eyes and blinks a few times to adjust with the light.
”I can’t stay down here much longer. There’s going to be something behind there, let’s go.”
He turns the knob and shoves the door open with his shield taking 5 steps in.
Vail, you open the door and take 5 steps in. You can see that this room is illuminated by fungus also so with your goggles you have a clear view. The room looks to be some kind of barracks. There are still some bunks standing while others have collapsed. you also notice that the workmanship in terms of the room itself is better that what you've been trough so far. The ceiling is still somewhat roughly carved but the walls are straight. At the far end of the room you see some of the bunks have been pulled together into a kind of shelter.
(Nope, not initiative. That one for stealth. To see if anyone's passive perception would notice anything. I roll for all sorts of odds n ends. Sometimes I'll roll just to keep you guys on your toes :)
Saada, you hear an almost childish sounding giggle followed by "Ooooh, that's funny!" You can hear some rustling sound from the shelter followed by "The dead aren't funny. Who's out there"
Saada you see a scaled head poke out from the shelter. You recognize it as a kobold. "Friendy you say? Mischief? Mischief can cause trouble! Don't come closer or you'll trigger the traps!" The kobold comes mostly out of the shelter holding a javelin.
"Who else is out there? How did you get passed the spiders? How did you know the back way?"
"Oh we killed the spiders. You can come out and look for yourself if you want. There's six of us; a human, a dwarf, a gnome. a couple of tieflings, and a...minotaur? We're not here to cause you any trouble."
Saada turns to the face the rest of the group. "Anybody have a key?"
Vail, didn't you find a key in the skeleton earlier? I know it's a long shot but see if it works.
Vail shrugs and shoulders off his backpack. He fiddled around inside pulling out the old key.

The key fits in the lock and turning it you hear it click as the door unlocks.

Saada pops her head around the corner spot the makeshift shelter.
"Hmm...Lah" she whispers as she uses Prestidigitation to create a small, palm-sized ball that says "HI!" on it. She then rolls it towards the shelter.
