“I think that is a good idea, Sildar. We need to unload the shipment. As long as my friends find no objection,”. Ivolyn speaks to Sildar as everyone gathers their belongings. “Will you accompany us afterward to search for Grundan?”
”And what of you Alberich? Will you go with us to Phandelvin?”
As the group leaves the cave, Ivolyn cautions the others. “Alberich and I flushed out one goblin and a few escaped yesterday...along with the wolves.” The young woman ponders for a moment, “I wish they were tame, I’ve wanted a dog for as long as I can remember and you could see intelligence behind the ferocity of their eyes.” She shrugs and as they gather outside the cave Ivolyn adjusts her pack and places her staff in her hand. The crystal hangs about her neck. “I suppose we head back for poor Indlovu, then on to town to drop off the supplies. I suppose from there- Cragmaw Castle to see what has become of Grundren? Though I fear those escaped goblins may have shared their experience with us. Asking King Grol nicely might not work.” Ivolyn continues to ramble on about the cultural divisiveness of goblins, previous goblin wars, and general begins to bore even herself with her academic lesson.
“oh I nearly forgot! I found a few coins in the bugbear’s belongings and a green toad and some unknown alchemical concoction. Once we get to a place for the night I can possibly study one of them and see what it is exactly.”
Alberich listens to Ivolyn's thoughts on goblin culture and nodding at appropriate times while packing his remaining things. He begins to think about the best way to get the supplies out of the cave and back to Phandalin as well

"Oh Umbutu! Where would your friend go?", concern evident in the young woman's words. Ivolyn nodges the boot, half fearing to find the remains of a chewed foot within. She wanders the perimeter of the area where they left the elephant and the roadway silently.
"This is unfortunate, I'm sorry Umbutu." Looking at the footprints Ivolyn found, Grimbeard says "I don't think whoever took the beast could get very. It is an elephant after all"
Grimbeard comes to a halt and listens out to the sounds of the distressed Indlovu. "I take it that's Indlovu. Unless there is another elephant in these parts. Perhaps we can take these captors by surprise."
Color rises on Ivolyn's cheek as anger creases her brow and pulls her lips into a puckered frown. A sharp huff of air escapes her lips and the whites of her knuckles betray the tight grip on her staff. "Why would they do that?!" she demands in a whisper. Another disapproving huff of air escapes. "Surprise is probably best," she agrees. "Can we use what the goblins did on us? Break up into group - some on the left? Some on the right?" She says this with very little confidence having such little experience in combat, she pulls from the very thin list of experience she has.

Grimbeard is relieved to hear that the group is leaving the cave. All of this talks of haunting and curses leaves him unsettled. "Aye, off we go".

"Surprise could work. I can't be very stealthy though, perhaps I could provide the distraction, while the rest of you be the surprise?"
