Incorporeal mind readers, strange pods, and mind controlled Goblins and Dragonfolk. that’s essentially what we faced.. Johnothon says, smugly. Although he frowns when he himself mentions mind control, not liking the mind-related Magic’s.

Johnothon looks at Kora. I can certainly do something. I will cure Sylrie  in the morning- i don’t have enough magic right now to fix it. If I had it, please trust that I would have used it.

Aria begins calming the horses, speaking softly to them in a blend of Elvish, Sylvan, and Common, and stroking necks or muzzles to settle them down. She saves Feather for last, gently running her fingers through the pegasus's feathers to straighten out her feathers and calm her (kinda like preening for birds - it both keeps their feathers healthy and calms them down).

For Feather, her speech changes from a stream of calming single words in the varying languages to a few concerted sentences in Elvish.

Johnothon smirks as he moves to the horses, to see Aria talking to her horse. Well then, isn’t that sweet. He sets his cocoon down, and moves closer to Midnight John. You seem fond of your winged horse. May I ask how you two met?

The cocoon hums. Lightly, almost unperceivable. 

Aria smiles at Johnathon as he approaches. "She's from the House. Occasionally pegasi end up coming through Syrania manifest zones, especially in Sharn. When that happens, House Vadalis usually takes charge of them and finds them good owners. When I received my Reaches assignment, the House knew I would be traveling a lot, so she was given to me then, and we've bonded a lot since. On long flights, it's usually just me, her, and Sivi, so I end up talking to her." She gently scratches Feather's muzzle.

That’s good. It shows you care about her, and that she cares about you. If you both care about eachother, you may end up saving each others life, like Midnight did for me. He says that last part smiling, stroking the nuzzle. He then turns towards the cocoon, giving a slightly confused expression. That’s not..is it? Hey Aria, do you hear something?

"Oh, she has. Later I'll tell you about the time some cultists-" Aria stops talking and frowns as John asks his question, her hand going to her bow. "Yes. What is it?" She whips her gaze across the area.

Save the stories. John looks back down at his cocoon, and lifts it up over his shoulder. We should get this away from the horses. It’s making noises, and it could be dangerous.

He looks around the area. Do you have a detect magic spell? Or poison and disease? It would help, because I need to take 10 minutes to cast mine. 

Aria shakes her head, moving with him. "I'm pretty much out of magic for the day, almost totally tapped out my Mark healing Kora and Perci. I'd be lucky to able to coax an animal bond out of it at this point. Anyone in the unit have a scholarly bent with magic?"

Kash gets a glazed look in his eyes as he stares off in to the distance and at nothing before he speaks softly

"I had some very strange vision while in the crystal chamber, I would recommend staying out of them for the time being.  there was strange powerful forces and incomprehensible magics, I could feel it, but it was chaos beyond even my understanding.  The weave was broken, yet it wasn't....there was a voice too....a voice that told me I wasn't supposed to be there...and there was so much destruction all around, like a great war.  The voice talked about a prophecy and having a place in it.  Does the name Drynalx mean anything? the voice told me to find him, that he would help me after the end comes......"

and he'll snap back to reality and look at those gathered around him....

The humming of the cocoon (OOG and which cocoon are we talking about here? The crystal chamber? Are we calling that a cocoon? Am I forgetting something I posted? lol it's been known to happen lmao ) stays soft and muted, like the soft buzz of the cicada swarm a mile away. 

I feel like it’s a bad idea to bring this into our group. Go ahead, meet up with the others. I’m going to find out what’s wrong with the cocoon. He says, frowning.

Stepping back, about 10ft from the horses, John would begin to cast Detect Magic, as a ritual. Being away from the others, he pays no mind to Kash’s spacing.

"Kash...a vision? It could be the magic of that chamber itself. And we are in the midst of a great war. Maybe it was just a dream." LT will say. Obviously distressed by what the party has been through. "You've been through a lot, and we still don't understand what was happening down there. This wasn't supposed to be, this was supposed to be a safe spot for us to rest up. To get our damned bearings. First Isuzu and now this? What the hell is happening?" 

Kash hears it again, the date ringing in his ears as if someone was standing next to him whispering it. The itchiness on his back is in full force. He can feel the warmth of the area where he was touched inside the chamber.

Aria nods and makes her way rapidly back to the group. "I hate to be the bearer of further bad news, but something's up with the cocoon we pulled out," she says tersely. "It's humming. Or something like that."
