"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."
Serandis Mendaen (Aereni Elven Rogue/maybe one day Wizard)- Project Point Playtest
Sylrie, you have no idea what they are talking about. When it comes to Dragonmarks, there are Twelve, to match the Twelve Dragonmarked Houses. Aberrant ones... that makes no sense to you. But you can not deny that your vision has changed, and there is something different about you. A connection you've never felt before. When you look at your friends, your brothers and sisters in arms... you can see their minds. Not into them, but a way to get at them. You feel it, the ability to strike at the point in their heads, something that is as terrifying as it is intriguing.
You could strike at their minds, or you could manifest their desires. Manically, you feel the source of the power coming from the area of your eyes. Letting you glimpse into their minds, to take advantage of their possible weaknesses. However this makes you feel, the one thing you know for sure is that you are now forever changed. You are something more now, whether that is a boon or a bane only time will tell.
Sylrie:
When you’re stressed, the mark hisses audibly.

Kora takes it all in stride. "It is a boon, if it lets you see again. What you do with it is your choice, it is you that makes it good or not. I, for one, am glad to see you back, and have you see me," she slaps Sylrie on the back companionably, and not without a certain amount of relief.

"Kora, this is dangerous. Of course, Sylrie would never... he's a good soul. A great soldier. True to our Queen, but if the world finds out about this. Things could be...could GET very complicated." She stands up straight, the LT does and walks over to Sylrie. "We're all glad you can see us again. And whatever the world throws at you while we're together, we have your back. Aundair Dares, but I also dare anyone to make a stink about it with Greywind around."
She will touch his face where the mark is, feeling the warmth of it. Tracing her fingers along its edge as she stares in wide-eyed awe. "It's actually quite beautiful. You look like a raccoon, though I wouldn't say as adorable." She says teasingly. "Could always say it was a flash burn, wouldn't explain your eyes, but might keep some at bay. I've heard of these Marks looking hideous. Puss filled and disgusting smells. This looks to be it, just a shadow on your face."

No. John shakes his head disapprovingly at the lie. There’s a better solution. Tell the truth.
Say it was a magical accident with the chambers- you got hit with a strange light, and that happened. It certainly has effects, but they don’t seem to be easily visible- meaning we can just call it a visual effect, like a simple cantrip. As for why we haven’t gotten rid of it, we can say we can’t. It’s not magical, and none of us have Magical Dispelling spells anyway.
"We can't do that. What do you think will happen if we just go up and say that Sylrie has an Aberrant Dragonmark, something that is feared because of the destruction it could cause? Do you think that they'll just let him continue on like nothing happen? I am not so optimistic. They'd treat him like some sort of monster. LT is right, we can't let word of this get out."

Flash burns can be healed. This can’t. I wasn’t saying saying she has a Dragonmark- I was suggesting we say it’s a mark leftover from a magical accident. It would explain why we don’t heal it. In addition, as LT said, she lacks many other signs of an aberrant Dragonmark, such as smells and the like. It’s better to tell the truth than lie- lies can be discovered, while truths are always correct.
"Well, I like that it makes me no longer the most unusual one of the bunch," Kora jokes, punching Kash lightly in the shoulder. "I do not fear Sylrie with this change, and so I will not pretend to others that I fear him. But I will do as Sylrie wants, of course."

As the camp is cleared and Sarge gets everyone their food, the sun will start poking through the clouds. Though it is still raining, you can see the sun trying to shine through.
Sarge will keep a wide path to Sylrie, letting the soldier get used to seeing again and maybe for fear of the mark on his face.

Kash breaks protocol because they aren't supposed to be a trained military unit they are supposed to look like mercenaries "Sounds good Dot lead on....."
Sylrie didn't know the answer, he didn't understand why he had to be treated so differently. Why would anyone be afraid? He hadn't heard the stories, he knew the Dragonmarked houses did great things, and now he was in some way attached to them, but it sounded dangerous. He noticed how Sarge looked at him, or lack there of as they got ready, and the uneasiness that it led to with the others. He wished he had a cloak with a hood, something he could simply hide his face, maybe a mask of some sort, or bandanna.
He quickly packed and got on his horse, he quickly looked up to the sky to curse the rain but decided it would do no good and instead shook his head and rode alongside the others. His sight had been returned, and it felt good to lead his own horse, Aurala's Pride wasn't scared of him, or at least didn't show it.
It was nice to be back on mission, that was for sure.
