Despite having said he was full Sylrie still purchases a spicy chicken on a stick, and a fizzy drink. He then wraps the chicken for eating later on the ship. "Should we take the others back some chicken, or fizzy drinks?" He says to Kash, Kora, and Johnathan. As the fisherman shout the military saying at the group Sylrie gives them a firm salute and smiles, showing them due respect.
"You can't spend it when you're dead! so might as well enjoy yourself while you are able to! We go to war tomorrow, who knows what will happen to us. Some of us may not return, I would rather enjoy the time we have together than sit alone atop a pile of golden galifars."
The minotaur winces a bit at that hit, its still a bit tender. "I will tell great tales at your funeral!" and he'll smile "maybe not about you....but they shall be great!" and he'll laugh, his mage hand bobbing along with them carrying a bag of chicken and fizzy drinks.
((OOG John, if you want to check out the pet store you can. We can RP it as a flashback. I don't want to take an opportunity away from your character... so if he wanted to wander off while they got their tattoos that's an option. But, now... let's get on the boat everyone and set sail.))
You make your way back to the boat on time and ahead of schedule, but just minutes before. As you go below deck you can see the sailors hard at work. Who knew so much went into launching a ship out of the harbor. Carrying your drinks and food to your companions you make your way to the bay and check in with Sarge. He sees all you and lets you know he's glad all of you made it back on time.
"Okay women, men, we are starting our journey and now we have to come up with a plan of action," LT sits at the table with a map of Aundair open and a map of the region in the Reaches. "I have some ideas about what we can do and where we should go once we put boots on the ground. I am your commanding officer and I get the final say. But, this is your mission as well. I will weigh all the options and would like to decide this as a group. It's the Aundairian way."
"We must deal with this threat, but we have to be smart about it. Once we get to Cree we will be meeting a resistance contact we have there. an ex-soldier loyal to the Queen. The information I have so far is this..." Lt. Winehand will lay out the information for each village.
Delthorn: Small dairy village. There are more cows than people there, 10:1. The mayor of the village has ordered the sheriff to hire mercenaries to come in and protect the fields and the cattle. Slowly, the numbers have been dwindling. Nothing outward, and nothing that can be tracked.
Tall Vine: A town that has fields all around it for as far as the eye can see. ((OOG Like Goldenfileds in The North in Faerun.)) There have been talks of bandits in the area. Robbing caravans and attacking the small contingent of guards they have at Tall Vine. The people are afraid, but nothing they have alerted the Queen's army about. Something is keeping them quiet.
Gregorsin: This village on the outskirts of the Towering Wood. They haven't been heard from in some time. A heavy Ashbound presence has been established there for some time. They have protected the radicalized druids and rangers in the past, but this is just odd.

"I agree, they are already expecting mercenaries there, so we shouldn't be out of place, and once we're established we should be able to more freely move about once word of our group has been spread."

"Kashkaval has the right of it, I think. If we're to be believed, best to start with the simplest story. And, it is the closest to our landing. If we're to discover what has gone on at Gregorsin, we'll need contacts on the ground and in the communities. That takes time to establish."

((OOG Crap, editing the post before this one. I mixed up Tall Vine and Delthorn in my post SMH Sorry, sorry... Delthorn is still closest, it's just to the South lol ))

Sylrie nodded as well, "Good points, though Tall Vine isn't much further away and from the reports it's actual people are in danger. In Delthorn it seems only the cattle were reported missing no?"
Isuzu stands in the back of the meeting room silently listening and does not voice any preference one way or another... to her one assignment, one destination is pretty much the same as another.
"That's a fair point, Sylrie, but the silence of the community in Tall Vine gives me pause. We'd be going in blind, and worse, perhaps into a trap. Remember, we can't just sweep in to these communities banners high, and expect the enemy to stand up and be knocked down."

"I still think Delthorn is the key to getting established in the Reaches still. Perhaps the people there have heard word of what is going on in Tall Vine and can give us more details. I also agree with Kora about going in blind being dangerous, and without the perceived might of Aundair's military backing us we need to be careful out here."
Sylrie thought it was the wrong choice, or at least a subpar choice, but he was outvoted. "Alright, so Tall Vine it is then." he nodded to display resolve despite his feelings to the contrary.

Kashkaval
Enjoying the revelry and bonding with his squad mates, he will gladly pick up the tab for the food on the way back to the ship
"that's what she said!" he'll shout back at the fisherman and laugh "Aundair Dares!"

"Excellent call Sylrie!" and Kashkaval will grab 6 more random fizzy drinks. 3 spicy chicken, and 3 regular chicken for those back on the ship!
(if my maths are correct that's a galifar's worth of food all said and done)

Kora
Kora, as previously noted, got herself a fizzy drink during the long tattooing time when she was also conversing with poor, ignored Johnathon. :)
As Kashkaval and Sylrie plot to feed the unit and deplete Kash's funds, she laughs, "Your generosity is as big as your new ink, Kashkaval!"
As the fishermen call out, she replies with the same, "Aundair dares!" and a wide smile.

((OOG Great question...))
From Cree in this order:
1.) Delthorn- 30 miles from Cree to the South ((OOG Not to be confused with Delethorn, the port city 100 miles away from Delthorn.))
2.) Tall Vine- 40 miles from Cree to the North
3.) Gregorsin- 110 miles from Cree to the West
