Urgog grunts as the hammer rebounds off the wall. He reposition himself and slams the hammer back against the door.

Zed sees Kestrell fall limp in the hands of the mimic.

"Kestrell you fool! Get out of its reach!" He yells as he loads another bolt into his crossbow. Once again he narrows his eyes on the monster and pulls the trigger.

Death Save, if needed: 11

If healed and back to consciousness: Vicious Mockery: Wis Saving throw of 13 or take 3 psychic damage and have disadvantage on it's next attack.

[OOC]: I'm weak, so I don't think I'll be able to get away with a strength check at disadvantage, and even then I would provoke an attack of opportunity.  I think my best bet is to disadvantage the mimic so he can't hit, and keep damaging him.

Eldon quickly moves his hand towards Kestrell "Not today." he says as he cast spare the dying on him. He then begins to chant against this time reverting back to fire to burn the creature with the light of Pelor.

Cinna hits the mimic again. Attack 13 Damage 4

Mimic's Dex Save against Sacred Flame: 5

Kestrell's Unconscious but seems not to be in imminent danger at the moment. Cinna and Urgog's tandem offense flails the Mimic off the door frame, and its body flings back. Eldon cites a prayer to have a radiant flame descend upon the Mimic, burning it to a crisp. As it's burning to ash, Zed's bolt flies through it, hitting nothing solid but the wall behind it. Kestrell's body falls onto the basement floor.

The Mimic has been slain!

"Hey, holy-man. Try to patch up Kestrell, would ya?" Zed says as he sees the mimic perish. He sighs and slings his crossbow back over his shoulder. He then moves to retrieve his bolts.

Survival Check to recover bolts: 4

Zed meticulously scours the basement floor, feeling rather annoyed as the ominous chanting seems marginally louder in this area. As he searches for salvageable bolts, he only manages to find one bolt.

After about 2 minutes of searching Zed finds that the two missed bolts seem to have snapped in half on impact with the wall. He finds one bolt intact near the pile of ashes.

"Did I mention I hate this house?"

Urgog grunts as the mimic dies and goes back to sit at the table, resting the hammer on it in front of him.

Eldon looks to Zed and just shakes his head "Alas, I spent the last of my healing on you. Does anyone have a potion?"

A gurgle and a groan escape from Kestrell's unconscious but stable form.

"No potions here. Maybe we should just let him rest for a few hours. We could all do with a good nights sleep. Hell, I think there were some beds back upstairs we could use."

Urgog rummages in his pack before looking up. "No potions here." He looks at his Herbalism Kit for a moment. "May could make one if we had materials."

Eldon just blinks as they suggest staying the night here, but Kestrell and everyone else needed the rest. He just looked to the corner of the room and realized that going back upstairs was probably the better idea "I would say let's just stay here and rest, but upstairs maybe a little more pleasant."

Urgog grunts in agreement with going upstairs for a rest.

"Well it looks like it's been decided then. Let's at least get out of this dungeon and take a rest. It seems like we'll be unable to actually leave the house, that damned fog basically forced us into here, but at least we can rest for a bit undisturbed."

Zed begins to retrace his footsteps back to the small winding stair case, and ascends into the attic once again.

Urgog stands and grabs the hammer before moving after Zed. He glances back at the others briefly before moving on.

Another gurgle emits from Kestrell's unconscious form. 

Eldon blinks as he just hoists Kestrells body in a fireman carry "Alright then let's go rest." he says as he begins to follow Urgog and Zed up the stairs.
