OOC: I assume we are all present except for Tyrus? How far away is the enemy? Is it within 30 feet +10 foot reach of the glaive, or further, needing the heavy crossbow?
(@Izarel: I debated with myself if Mairi would be, having waited around the general neighborhood for trouble. But, decided against the potential metagame there. So, she's not there. Yet. Unless DM rules otherwise.)

When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
(However, don't worry - I'm not leaving you guys out - something is happening at the tavern as well that could go different ways...)
Tyrus: As you are tidying up after the explosion, you spot a morsel of rotted meat, being eaten by a rat. It looks like it was placed. As you notice this, you notice others have been put around the tavern and in the cellar, a group of five small rats feed on another morsel of food that was hidden out of sight, as if placed there.
"Rats!" exclaims Tyrus in dismay. "We can't be having rats around the place. People will think the tavern be dirty."
[OOC: Presuming he is in the cellar alone when he discovers the group of 5 rats, and hoping these are individual rats and not just the visible part of a swarm.]
Tyrus pulls a pinch of fine sand out of his component pouch and casts the Sleep spell on them.
[OOC: Points for Sleep spell effect: 17
I will wait to either find out the situation isn't what I expected or find out the result before determining what Tyrus does next.]

Tyrus Mountson: Lvl 3 Dwarvish Bard; Waterdeep Campaign (Dragon Heist) Nanoc the Younger: Semi-retired Lvl 2 Rogue / Level 2 Barbarian Human; The Knuckle, Mror Holds, Ebberon. The Honourable Jaden Fellan: Level 3 Human Eldritch Knight; Band of Sunswall
AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
The rats fall asleep around the morsels of food that is half-eaten by the rats in the cellar. However, as Tyrus makes his way back upstairs, he notices another three rats under the bar feeding on another morsel.

[OOC: First things first: Tyrus will have killed the rats he has put to sleep as quickly as he can and put their remains and the morsels of food in a bag to be thrown out with the rubbish.]
With bag in hand, Tyrus climbs up out of the cellar. When he sees this new lot of rats he starts swearing—in dwarvish—lacing his words with vicious mockery and targeting the closest rat [OOC: His spell DC is only 12, so I won't be surprised if the rats just laugh at his mockery].

The construct encounter includes, I believe, Sara, Briga, and Griff? Do we have an initiative for Griff? Also, what is the distance of the construct from Briga?
Tyrus will continue to use his Vicious Mockery targeting the next rat and telling it that its mother was a hamster and its father smelt of elderberries... Which actually sounds kind of plausible, weirdly enough.

(OOC: Griff is what I'm waiting for for you guys, as I thought he went with you guys. Once that's done we can start things off - but right now the nimblewright is about 60 feet away.)
Tyrus continues dealing with the rats and they fall quickly, when there's another bit of scratching coming from the pantry, where there is another morsel and food and more rats. Clearing those as well, the last of the rats are dealt with, for now. That's when one of the halflings walks into the taproom to begin their shift.
OOC: We will still need Griff’s initiative. As Briga might be near the top, she will enter rage as a bonus action, and draw and fire her heavy crossbow at the Construct as it seems hostile.
Briga is unsure if her shot landed, she has entered Rage and is lashing her head about, readying to abandon the Crossbow and release her Glaive, on her next turn.
"We be having a cleaning problem," declares Tyrus angrily to the halflings as they arrived.
Showing them the sack of dead rats he adds, "They were being attracted to all food on the floor, which I be wanting cleaned up as soon as possible so we can be opening up the tavern."
"Hop to it lads and lassie," he adds while he heads outside to deal with the dead bodies of the rats. "We be wanting to give the right impression to the customers."

"Right away," the halflings say. As Tyrus takes out the rats, the building opposite has a man standing outside gesturing people from your side of the road. "You know that place has rats, right, it's why I decided not to buy it. I mean, it's so bad for business," the figure says to a passer by. "Come to Frewns Brews instead, at least there's no infestation at my place," he says.

(What is going on with the construct?)
OOC: I did not see Griff’s initiative, just mine for Briga, Sara, and the Construct. I am also still not sure how far away it is from Briga.
GM, can you clarify the construct’s distance from Briga? Also, is Griff in the Construct encounter?

The rat is instantly taken out, laying next to another morsel of food.

(ooc: sorry guys, hectic times.)
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
OOC: No worries!
Briga will back up 5 feet and end her turn there, 65 from the construct.
Briga is unsure if her shot landed, she has entered Rage and is lashing her head about, readying to abandon the Crossbow and release her Glaive, on her next turn.
Saralysa nods to ehr self as the construct moves to attack. She lifts a hand and casts shatter
DC 15 Con save (construct will have disadvantage on this save) or take 12 thunder damage, half on a successful save.
