"Let's go search out the spider's cave, to see if they have anyone spun into a web and they might have some trinkets around", Hoyle says as he starts looking around.

Tait will also look around the area they are in to see if he can spot a spider's nest. If he doesn't see one they he'll say, "Don't see one. We should check out the mushrooms and get out of this water for a bit."
If he does see a spider's nest, he'll see if there is a way to get to it.

Talon will cast light on his rod so that he can toss away the stick before following his friends. He will keep his eyes peeled for any additional threats as he makes his way around the cave.
The group moves toward the Mushroom Field. THey glimpse up on the roof of the cave and see that webs have been spun all over and it leads south of area 3, following the running water.
There are a few bugs caught in the webs and hanging from the roof. One area has been scorched with fire and the webs are in tater.
With the light of Talon, you can see that someone, a while ago from the state of the wood, tried to put fences around the whole mushroom area and that the bugs ( some sort of larvae or big grubs ) are roaming freely but are fed with strange refuses piled at the back of the area. There are a few tools too and some of the mushroom tops have been carved out. ( Are they edible? and for whom? )
(Just in case you forgot there is some sort of light coming from area 4 )

Tait will whisper to everyone, "It's some kind of underground farm. Amazing! Whoever works it seems to be gone. Does everyone want to go check out the light?" As he says that, Tait points toward the light (In area 4).
Hoyle will inspect the mushrooms and the bugs to see if he recognizes them. If there is nothing else of note in the farm, he will follow the group towards the light.
Hoyle doesn't recognize the species but he has read somewhere that there are whole ecosystems that revolve around mushroom in the underdark.
They are usually cultivated and tended but communities. The same goes for the bugs. Though he heard that usually the communities tend to have "Rothè" à sort of musk oxen.
Joshua will see if he can work out how many creatures are dancing around the fire. 8: perception (if investigation add another 2)
(I swear my rolls are mostly cursed in this thread)
(in fact thinking about the rolls I have actually done well, it is very character defining. The only things I can do well is talk to people, perform, and stealth)
Klaus seeing his friends moving toward the light will quickly follow and try to catch up to Talon as he prefers to be toward the front of the group if he can be. "I mean still as far as we know whoever inhabits this cave hasn't hurt anyone so I don't see the harm in a passive approach." he says to Arric.
Tait gets a puzzled expression on his face and will whisper to the others. "I have never heard this language before, but I understand what they are saying. They are talking about leaving, and about paints, and the colors of the world outside of this cave. Maybe they can be reasoned with?"
"Sounds like gibberish to me, glad you can understand what they are saying. I am for talking with them if you want."
Hoyle will hang near the back in the shadows with an arrow knocked and ready to fire, in case something goes wrong with the negotiation. He will be scanning the area for anything unseen or unexpected.
Arric thinks for a moment. “Alright, Tait you first. See if you can talk to them without fighting. The rest of us hang back unless you give a signal. Wave if we can walk up, and just shout if you’re in trouble. Unless you want one of us with armor to come with you?”

Talon would begin moving towards the light source.. using his robe to try to dim the light in order to help the group remain hidden as they approach.
I'm assuming that you are all following Talon has he goes toward the small light.
You move to solid ground and can see that much of it was inhabited at one time. The creature that lived there must have been small.
Has you move forward you can see that creatures are moving near the fire and it is casting shadows (in area 4). There is little sound to be heard.
Th water seems to be picking up speed at the first bent, ( around area 6 )

Hoyle will also try to get a count and see if he can identify the creatures around the fire. Not sure what checks you want?

Arric will clean his morningstar in the river, and follow the others after putting it back on his belt. “Should we talk to them?”

There are about 5 or 6 shadows moving in front of the fire. They seem to be a bit erratic or behaving strangely.
As you approach you can hear some kind of sibilant voices.
(anyone knows draconic. Might be fun to say how you learned it.)
The voices are taking back and forth in a very rapid succession. They have the squeaky nature of children talking.
"We must leave."
"Yes by not with my paints." says a second voice
"Did you see the color of the outside." there is marvel in the third voice.
It takes a few minutes for you to understand that they continue to talk about trees, the sun and the color green.
Tait gets a puzzled expression on his face and will whisper to the others. "I have never heard this language before, but I understand what they are saying. They are talking about leaving, and about paints, and the colors of the world outside of this cave. Maybe they can be reasoned with?"
