The party spends far too much deliberating and is taken by surprise, when the ancient floor of the room they are in collapses beneath their feet. They are, fortunately, lucky enough that the room below is not too far down, however, since they still fell over ten feet, they are hurt a bit.
Damage taken:
Bala - 5
Bazhak - 3
Dihek'nir - 2
Ferdinand - 3
Gedyr - 6
Zeng - 5
Upon recovering from the fall, the party looks around. The room they are in is rectangular, with them seemingly occupying one corner of it. In the middle, there is a large stone pillar supporting the roof. Beyond the pillar, two figures can be seen. One looks like an orange, oversized ape with huge arms, while the other is what one would assume you would get if you combined a grandmother with a nightmare. The ape is standing near a huge pool of blood, while the granny/nightmare is stirring a huge pot, which is standing on a fire. There also seems to be a large table near the closer wall, as well as a large amount of weapons and other stuff in the opposing corner. Finally, you can see a cell-like protrusion in the room, within which one or more humans can be seen, lying around, wearing only rags. At the far ends of the room, there two spiral stairs - one going up, which you could have used to get down here, and one going down, to an unknown place.
This is what the creatures look like:
The creatures are as surprised as you are at the commotion. They clearly do not seem friendly, however, so it's initiative:
Party Initiative: Bonuses - Party average initiative: 2.7, rounded upwards: 3. Plus the bonus of the member with the highest initiative, Gedyr, which is 4.
So, Party Initiative Roll: 24
Enemy Initiative Roll: 14
The party has won initiative, so you get to act first. This is what the room looks like before round 1:
The pillar in the middle and the large pot on F2 are unnavigable and can be used as cover, The table up top is filled with stuff and is also unnavigable, but cannot be used as cover, The rubble around you is navigable, but takes 2 movements to go through instead of 1, as well as making it unable to stand there for long (so you cannot end your turn there). Finally, the chair and the weapons in the bottom left corner are navigable as normal. The small cell below is separated from the rest of the room by iron bars and, unless opened, you cannot go through said bars.
OOC: If you haven't already, you can still roll hit dice in your next post, though only if you weren't at full health before the fall.
Ferdinand stands up from the ground, pats dust of his legs, realizes the situation he fell into and reacts by casting mind spike on the ape for 16 psychic damage or half when succeding on a dc 14 wis save. On a failed safe, ferdinand is aware of the creatures location, as long as it is on the same plane of existance and it cant be hidden or invisible to ferdinand.
Bazhaks first attack will be a nat20 using ferdinands portent feature. It was first intended to be used on bala in the previous encounter, but that did not come up.
A faint hum can be heard as Gedyr draws his blade....he follows this with some Arcane words in High Elvish immediately causing his image to blur, and advances next to the pillar, preparing to flank the enemy.

Botting Bazhak and Zeng:
Bazhak runs towards the Ape, going to H4 and striking the creature twice with his axe:
Attack 1 - Automatic 20 thanks to Ferdinand, Damage: 13
Attack 2 - 21, Damage if hit: 9
Zeng, meanwhile, does not move, instead first casting Hunter's Mark against the Ape, then aiming with his longbow and loosing an arrow:
Attack - 23, damage, if hit: 9 plus 4.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand's attack on the Ape's mind is successful, even though the creature attempted to resist, with a WIS save of: 10. On the other hand, Bala's thrown dagger is severely off course, somehow managing to embed itself into the ceiling.
As a result, Zeng's arrow misses the target by several inches, but Ferdinand's strike, as well as both of Bazhak's attacks are quite successful, dealing a total of 42 damage to the Ape.
The ape, once it manages to react, first roars incomprehensibly, and then strikes, targeting Bazhak and striking him twice with its humongous fists.
Attack 1 - 17, Damage if hit: 18
Attack 2 - 16, Damage if hit: 12
At the same time, the granny/nightmare turns to you and cackles, then saying: "Oh dear, we have some new food for the boss here, it seems... I will enjoy cooking you too..."
With this, it puts down the huge wooden spoon it was using for whatever is inside the great pot and puts her hands up, closing her eyes. As soon as she does that, all of you feel a horrible pain inside your minds, feeling something snap. You are all dealt 8 psychic damage, or half that, if you manage a WIS save with a DC of 15.
Bala will let out a disgruntled howl. "That's my favorite knife!" He will then pull out his hand crossbow with his now free hand and take a shot at granny.
He will run towards the granny, past the ape ( to E4 ) and attack it!
Attack: 20 Damage: 11
(Mobile Flourish) Assuming this hits then Dihek'nir will move a bit further so that the thing is directly between him and the pot. He will hit kick it in the chest, knocking it back 5ft, hopefully directly into the pot. (dealing additional 3 damage to it) He will step up to the side of the pot and is ready to "stir" it with his longsword, should the nightmare decide to continue living.

Botting Zeng and Bazhak.
Bazhak WIS save throw: 13
Bazhak strikes the Ape twice with he enormous weapon:
Attack 1 - 11, damage, if hit: 16
Attack 2 - 27, damage, if hit: 14
So, Bazhak is just able to resist the spell and is dealt 4 damage, as well as being able to hit the Ape once, dealing 13 damage to it.
Meanwhile, Zeng focuses on the Ape again, loosing another arrow:
Attack - 15, damage, if hit: 11 plus 3
Additionally, Zeng tries to resist the spell as well. WIS save: 13
So, Zeng is able to save against the spell and receives only 4 damage. His own arrow deals another 15 to the Granny.
Ferdinand is unable to resist the Granny's psychic attack, taking the full 8 damage. However, in turn, he is successfully able to strike the Ape with the ray of frost, dealing 14 damage.
Bala's mind is too strong for the spell, so the Tabaxi is only dealt 4 damage. His own strike with the crossbow is quite accurate, hitting the Granny in the shoulder, dealing 8 damage.
Dihek'nir is also able to focus his mind and avoid part of the spell's effect, receiving 4 damage. His efforts to approach the Granny go quite well, with him dealing the nightmare 14 damage. However, when he attempts to kick her into the pot, she resists. Granny strength save: 21
So, the Granny cackles: "This meat will need to be tenderized, it is far too feisty otherwise", and does not budge.
Meanwhile, Gedyr does manage to steel his mind and only receives 4 damage, but this requires too much of his concentration and, as a result, he is unable to deal additional damage to the adversary.
All in all, the Granny has been dealt 51 damage, while the Ape has been dealt 71 damage
The Ape jumps up to the ceiling, going down and striking the floor, which sends a huge shockwave, dealing to all adjacent (Gedyr and Bazhak) 15 damage, or half that, if the manage a CON save with a DC of 15.
Meanwhile, the Granny focuses her eyes on Dihek'nir, who is unable to look away. her mind attempts to invade his, dealing 24 damage, or half that with a WIS save with a DC of 15.

Dihek'nir wisdom save: 19
He screams out, steps to D4 and repeats his maneuvers:
Attack: 28 Damage: 14
Adding the mobile flourish once more for 6 damage and attempts to push the Granny into the pot.
He will finish by healing himself with Healing Word for 7.
(OOC: how do we do the hitpoint changes on character sheets? Should I do the changes or will you do, DM? Dihek'nir was at 42/43 when this fight started, took 1 falling damage and 4 from the Grannys first area attack, but is somehow at 34. Which means we both applied the 4 damage. Anyways, he now took an additional 24 damage and then healed by 4, so he should be at 42-1-4-24+4=17 )
OOC: yup, I prefer to do the damage myself, so let us return the 4 damage and I will be doing the damage after that, so I don't have to check if everything has been applied. I once had a tpk because the players forgot to add damage and I though they were healthy so I threw harder enemies at them, when, as it turned out, they were at below half health.
ooc: Not sure of jumping up to power bomb us counts as moving for booming blade...BTW - was the damage of his attack of a type I could counter with Absorb Elements....? If so Gedyr would cast that to half the damage again and add: 4 damage in the attack back.
Hitdice for Bazhak: 4 3

Dihek'nir is pleasantly surprised, "Oh, what have we here. Doesn't look like spitters!"
He moves up to K3, sees the ape and reacts by pointing at the nightmare, saying "You first" (cast True Strike with it as a target).
He then takes a step to the side, K4 and waits for what the others will do.
