Garra heaves her battleaxe, smashing the traincar's window in a horrible shower of shards and bits. She disengages out the window and onto the roof! Is she crazy!? She left the chest behind!
Cora sheathed her blades and yelled, "Grab the chest, i'm going after this *****!"Cora climbed out the window and on to the roof. "You're making this harder! Get back here!"she called out to Garra.
Garra turned around and drew a mighty battleaxe. "I can cut you in half with one swing!"
Cora considered how true that was. She crouched low to center her gravity, drawing her blades. "That's probably true, but i've been dead before and that makes me more dangerous you give me credit for!"

Crouching Vinegar, Hidden Dragon quickly leaves her post at the doorway, and deftly ambles out the shattered window and out onto the roof, joining Cora. While Garra is distracted by taunting Cora, Vignette, in a low crouch, sprints forward and attacks Garra with the intent to disarm her:
Unarmed Attack to Disarm Garra: 24 Damage: 6
Bonus Action: A second unarmed Martial Arts attack, also with the intent to disarm Garra: Attack: 13 Damage: 7
Athletics: 8, 23 - The battleaxe clatters to floor. Cora kicks it away.
Dex save: 17 Garra gets punched, disarmed, and hit with magic. She staggers backwards. "Stop running! You're only making this harder. I hate chasing after my kills."

Willow follows the other nimbly out the window, leaving Bea and Mia to the chest. Once she arrives on the roof she pauses for a second, "Are we killing her?" before darting foreward, moving to slash at her legs to prevent her form fleeing.

Mia will look to Bea, “You wanna follow after them too?” She’ll reach down and pick up the chest, testing it’s weight and size. If it’s possible, she’ll try and strap it to her person with her shield covering/protecting it.
If this frees her hands she’d go to the train car door to peek through it to see if there’s a ladder between the trail cars for her to climb. She’d climb the ladder enough for her upper torso to be above the train so she could look for the daring group already on top of the train.
Mia will unsnap her whip from from its place on her hip. She’d follow up Williows leg slash with an attempt to grapple the preys ankle with her whip and pull her down.

If it doesn’t free her hands, she’ll hang out with the chest and stuff her pockets with food.
Athela purses her lips. "Unless we want to go to Wroat, I suggest we get off at the next stop and then catch a lightning rail back to Sharn. After questioning our fine friend here. What's in the chest, by the way? And what are the papers?"
"Right, I'll give you two choices," she says evenly to Garra once the woman wakes up. "Option one, you tell us what we want to know and we drop you off with Sergeant Vilroy in a nice, secure cell. Option two, you resist and we hobble you and leave you in the Cogs - after getting the word out to Daask that you betrayed them and sold out their operation to the Watch. I'm sure they'll give you a nice, painful death. Perhaps under a cockatrice's gaze in a game of Six Stones, or maybe they'll give you to one of their onis to have some fun with. I hear that being stalked by an oni is a truly terrifying way to die." Her eyes are icy cold.
Cora gives Athela a sidelong glance, as if she didn't understand a single thing you said. She turned back to Garra again. "I aint gonna tell you *****es nothing, so don't even try and play hardball with me. I'm very comfortable with what i've done. Don't worry. Either way, Niho will find you all soon enough." Inside the chest is books and schemas, and a gem of brightness with 32 charges, a feather token, and 1000 gp.
Athela shakes her head. "You misunderstand. I don't care about you feeling bad. I care about you giving information about what you did and the people you worked for. However, if you don't plan to do so, then I suppose we'll be making a dropoff in the Ashblack district soon." Without another word, she turns her chair away from Garra and begins examining the schema, regretting what she has to do, but knowing it is necessary.
Four years ago...
Selyanna shook her head. "Mother, please! Why are you doing this? Bella isn't the most proper of princesses, but she doesn't deserve this!"
Dannel was uncompromising. "Rebelliousness is one thing, but this is blood magic, Selyanna! With the Karrnathi to the east threatening our soldiers yet again with their undead, I can't just do nothing! I have to make a statement, to prove that nobody, not even princesses, will be granted favoritism. In peace, this could have been dealt with more leniently, but now, in war, I have to take this measure to ensure unity."
"This measure? This measure? At least say what you're doing! You're banishing your daughter from Cyre! In the middle of a war! Do you really think a banished princess stripped of the protection of the crown will last a week out there? She'll be assassinated the second she steps outside the kingdom! You're as good as killing your daughter!" Selyanna's hands clenched into fists.
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" Dannel roared. "I have made my decision. For dabbling in blood magic - and having an illicit affair with a member of the Aereni embassy - Arabella will be banished. This is for the good of the country, because I am queen, and sometimes I must do things I dislike for my people. I am your mother and your queen, Selyanna, and you will obey me!"
Selyanna flattened her lips into a line. "If she goes, I go with her," she said softly.
Dannel narrowed her eyes. "Ultimatums are only to be used when you have absolutely every intention of fulfilling them. This will not sway me, Selyanna."
"Then at least Bella will have someone to look out for her." Selyanna held her head high and repeated her words. "If she goes, I go with her."
"Oh yes, I'll make sure to pass on your regards. Even if we die, I'll rest easy knowing you'll get a worse death," Athela says sweetly. Softer, she murmurs to the others. "We don't want to get into a war with Daask right now. Or ever, really. I suggest we either keep out of town for a while or find a way to pin this on somebody else."
Mia had plopped herself down into the floor and was going through the contents of the chest with genuine curiosity. “Looks like we got more gold here for each of us than what the bribe would have netted us.” She’d pick up the feather token, “I wonder what this one does!”
Mia honestly should be paying attention to the scene unfolding between Garra and Athela. She’d look up for a moment, “So we’re not killing her? And we’re the bad guys now?” Obviously she hadn’t been paying attention to the political side of things, which her family always frowns upon her for, but she’s just a mercenary, not a politician. They point her in a direction and she goes. “Can I still have her axe?” Not that she needed it.
"Not the bad guys, just doing what's necessary." Athela purses her lips. "I don't like it any more than you do, but I had to try something to get her to talk, and now I'm in a bind." She sighs, looking tired, and lowers her voice again. "We can drop her off with the Sergeant. Right now, Niho is the bigger issue." She rubs her forehead. ****, I'm glad I'm not Oargev. If this is the kind of decision he has to make every day...
After they turn Garra in to Sergeant Vilroy, Athela and Willow have a long conversation. After a tight hug and an arrangement on writing, Athela waved Willow off on a ship headed to Aerenal, then headed for the lightning rail station.
Over the next few months, stories began popping up of a half-orc in a wheelchair in New Cyre, helping the refugees and defusing conflict with a combination of kind words and polite threats. She seemed to have a politician's level of training in diplomacy, but never disclosed much about her background, other than that it was the Mourning that crippled her.
Years passed. Oargev of Cyre took another wife, a young Brelish noble. His efforts to create a new Cyre began to bear fruit, with his estate becoming a haven for Cyrans. Two children were born with the ir'Wynarn name. The half-orc began to be seen with a kalashtar named Vakhad. The couple grew closer and closer. When the time came for Athela to go see her sister in Aerenal, Vakhad went with her.
1004 YK...
Athela looked down at the infant in her arms. "He'll inherit two sets of enemies. Everyone who hates Cyrans, and your enemies, the...Dreaming Dark?"
Vakhad nods. "Yes. But he has a strong family to keep him safe and teach him how to protect himself. Us, your sister, Nikoli, our nephew. He'll be all right. Nikoli will teach him to stalk, Willow will teach him to fight. I'll teach him to defend his mind, and you'll school him in getting his way with words." He planted a kiss on Athela's cheek. "Most importantly...he's beautiful. He's perfect."
"Yes," Athela agrees softly. "He is." She smiled down at the baby boy, wrapped in his blanket. "And the name is perfect."
"Dakhad," Vakhad said softly. "Khad for his spirit...what is Da for?"
"Dannel. My mother." Athela smiled softly. "He'll carry both halves of his legacy with him forever." She gave Dakhad a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Welcome to the world, Prince Dakhad, fifth in line to the lost Cyran throne."
