[OOC: I will be maintaining the Initiative Order at the top of every post during combat so you can see when Guilliame's turn is in relation to everyone else. At the moment, you only know the Initiatives of Guilliame and those who have moved before him.
Woman (Green with Tent): Init 20 Basilly (Green with Castle): Init 19 Guilliame (Blue with Castle): Init 18
]
As Guilliame turns the corner into the street, he once more hears a woman's scream and in the light of the torch being held aloft by one of the ruffians he can see the silhouette of a woman running down the street towards him.
Taking in the scene quickly, Basilly dashes forward (i.e., he does his normal 30' move and then does a Dash as his action) and interposes himself between the running woman and one of the villains who might try to stop her. He then shakes his knurled club in the man's face and says, "Leave her alone." However, the man seems more surprised than frightened.
[OOC: It is now Guilliame's turn. There are two main parts of a turn: a Move (up to 30' for Guilliame) and anAction. There are also some types of actions classed as Bonus Actions that characters can do if they have them. Guilliame has a few of these from his Fighter class that you will find listed under the 'Features and traits' tab of hischaracter sheet.]

[OOC: There is a grid overlaying the map. The dimensions of the square are 5' on a side. Guilliame's normal move is 30' (i.e., 6 squares) and I have moved him 6 squares closer to Enemy #4. Guilliame is still some distance from Enemy #4 and so can't do a melee Attack with the dagger, though he could throw the dagger at the man if he wants to, but that would be at Disadvantage because of the distance.
FYI, Basilly did a Move and then a Dash as his Action, which is why he got so far. As he had used his Action, he was then unable able to do an Attack—and didn't want to—he just wanted to interpose himself between Enemy #5 and the woman.
At this point (and based on your last post), Guilliame has a few options for physical attacks:
He can Dash like Basilly and call on Enemy #4 to stand down, but he will not also be able to attack in this turn. (The stand down order will be an Intimidation check).
He can make his normal move as I have done on the map and call on the man to stand down, and the declare throwing the dagger as a Held Action, which will trigger if Enemy #4 doesn't do as he is told.
Guilliame could end his turn where I have place him and stay silent hoping to get Advantage in his next round with a Surprise attack. He could also elect to Hold his attack with the dagger to use if someone rushes up to attack him later in the turn.
Given Basilly's rash behaviour, the last option is the Fighter-based turn I would choose as the street is dark and Basilly is providing a very good diversion.
However, Guilliame also has magic up his sleeve.
If he moves as I have already done, he would be in range to do aCharm Personspell on Enemy #4. If Enemy #4 fails his Wisdom saving throw against the spell's Save DC of 12, then he will treat Guilliame as his best friend for the next hour and, if you play things right, you could convince him to be on your side in this fight.
I am not saying that the above is the right thing to do, I am just giving you some options, as I see them, seeing as your original move wasn't possible because of the distances involved.

Approach Enemy 4 with dagger in hand calling "Stand down."
If there is no sign of him doing so attack with dagger.

Guilliame moves closer and weaves his hands and chants the words of the Charm Person spell. His unknowing target stops what he is doing and stands up straight looking around.
[OOC: Speaking reasonable amounts of words during a combat turn is considered a free action, so Guilliame can now talk to his charmed victim. What do you want Guilliame to say to him?]
Enemies #2 & #3 have not noticed anything as yet and are watching what the man with the torch is doing.
The torch carrier (i.e., Enemy #1), lifts his leg up and kicks at the door of the house he is standing in front of. However, unfortunately for him, it is stronger than he was expecting.
Guilliame's charmed villain, turns and looks around and then looks at him. "Right! Yes. I'm on it." He then runs to where Guilliame is and says, "You'd better come with me too." Guilliame tells him to go and and the man starts running up the street as fast as he can, heading for the guard station.
The enemy that Basilly challenged was the one carrying the club. He apparently didn't like being threatened and swings his club at Basilly [OOC: His to-hit roll: 3.] But his swing is wild, missing Basilly by a great deal.
[OOC: Round 2]
The woman runs past Basilly and slows to a stop on the opposite side of the street from Guilliame looking between him and Enemy #4, obviously confused by what is happening.
Suddenly, a bright light flares up around Basilly, causing his opponent to stagger back protecting his eyes with his free hand.
Guilliame hears Basilly say in a commanding voice, "I said, leave her alone."
Move towards the large group to a distance of 25ft and call out "Stand down. The guard is on it's way."
OOC Does Burning hand require both hands free. In which case put dagger into my belt ready for quick access. Otherwise prepare to conjure with one hand with dagger in the other.
Move towards the large group to a distance of 25ft and call out "Stand down. The guard is on it's way."
OOC Does Burning hand require both hands free. In which case put dagger into my belt ready for quick access. Otherwise prepare to conjure with one hand with dagger in the other.
[OOC: Yes. The description of the spell specifically mentions that both hands are required as part of the somatic component of the spell. In a combat turn, characters are allowed to interact with one object as a free action, so Guilliame can stick the dagger in his belt ready for quick access as that free action. However, one thing I should point out is that the area of effect of the Burning Handsspell is a 15' cone originating from the caster. Just pointing this out so you are clear on this.
Looking at the map, if Guilliame moves 30' towards the group at the furtherest end, the person closest to him (at 30') will be the fallen man. The others will still be further than 30' away. Guilliame could use his Action to do a Dash and close the distance to 25' and call out as stated above, but he will then no longer have his Action available to attack in this round and his foes will still be out of the effect range of his spell.
Please let me know if you're happy with the above explanation and description (all stuff that Guilliame should know), and if so, I will move him on the map and I would also like you to make an Intimidation check (no bonus) so I can determine how they react. If after reading the above you would like to change Guilliame's action, please feel free to do so.]

The plan is to get into a position that Guilliame is positioned so that the assailants will need to come to within 15' of Guilliame but that the effect of Burning hand will not extend to the fallen person. If they don't come forwards then reassess.
[OOC: I understand what you want to do now, but there are risks here that I feel I need to explain.
If Guilliame moves to within 25' of them, he will have had to use his Action (as a Dash) to do so and therefore can't also ready his spell to trigger if they approach him. However, they will be able to close with him and attack him in their turn because their move is 30' and they won't have had to use their Action as part of their move.
The safer thing to do would be to have Guilliame move just his normal 30' so that he still has his Action available to use. As I mentioned previously, saying something that isn't overly long can be done as a free action in a turn, so he could still call out to them as you planned. Then, with his Action still available, he could Hold it to be triggered if they approach him in their turn. However, preparing a spell to use against them may not be the best plan because that runs the risk of losing the spell if they don't approach for some reason; a held spell uses it spell slot regardless of whether it ends up being cast or not. He could, instead, prepare to Attack them with his dagger or prepare the Dodge action instead. Either way, next turn the distance won't be as much of a problem, unless they decide to run away.

But the Basilly is too quick and the blow misses.

The woman keeps running, but has slowed down and is looking back over her shoulder.
Basilly responds to the man's attack by striking at him savagely with his brightly glowing weighted stick (Roll-to-hit: 22; Damage: 5 ). Guilliame hears the heavy stick hit the man solidly.
[OOC: It is now Guilliame's turn. Please make a Perception check.]
Run to fallen man and make sure that he is out of range of the fire if it builds up. Look down the street where the assailants fled to see if they are returning.
As Guilliame runs towards the fallen man, he not only sees that the three ruffians are still running down the street, but that the fallen man has made his way on hands and knees to the entrance of the building that had its door broken in. The torch that was thrown into the building is lying on the floor next to the leg of a table that has stacks of neatly piled clothing on it. Fortunately, it looks like the torch must have fallen off the table and while the table leg might become scorched, it is is no danger of being set alight at the moment.
[OOC: I have moved Guilliame to the square next to the fallen man on the map, but he will have needed to use part of his Action to reach this square and take in the details as described above.]
